jessy87 Posted February 3, 2007 Share Posted February 3, 2007 i was looking around trying to get on a friends server, infact world 54, when i had noticed a good amount of worlds were full, now i understand its the weekend but i was shocked when i checked the homepage for how many people were online at the time 232k people. i recall jagex saying, we made a record of 189k people online at once and now we are adding 5 new worlds. great cool, your doing good jagex awesome. but does anyone else think maybe jagex should add a few worlds? or redesign a few worlds for specific things? some things were, 100+combat world 1k total + world, or just trade worlds where its nothing but trading specific items, like separate worlds for all the separate forums on the official forums, 1 world for rares, 1 world for armor etc... i like world 2, but its a thought. so dont think im trying to change that because i hate world 2, and i think its a nice general place to sell stuff fairly quickly. but back to my point There are currently 233777 people playing! alot of people are playing today and i am amazed. does any1 here agree a few more worlds would be nice? Midala87 Posted February 3, 2007 Share Posted February 3, 2007 I agree that we do need more worlds and worlds should be tailored down to specific needs. All they need to do is provide a description tab on the world chooser screen with each world given a description. While it is a far cry, I think it would be cool to actually make worlds with different stuff in each world. For example. World 1-9 are trading, 10-20 mining, 21-35WC, 35-40 RC...seriously no flipping point. They should add more worlds though, probably up to 150. it says that, its full again. i counted 39 worlds with 1900-2000 people on them at this time Why must worlds be speicific?! World 1-9 are trading, 10-20 mining, 21-35WC, 35-40 RC...seriously no flipping point. i never said they must be, and my idea was not to have worlds set up like you speak, my idea was trade worlds for specific forums that you see on the official site, like a server for a guild almost, like 1 world is mainly designed for fletching materials. FunnyGiant Posted February 3, 2007 Share Posted February 3, 2007 the max amount of players has been around 210k for a long time. good to see that number growing. still, currently there are only some 10 hours in a week, when there are over 200k players online at the same time, and that is at weekends. we all know the reason for that. the rest of the time there are between 40k to 150k players, i think. not enough to add more servers, if it would be up to me... but if during school holidays there would be steadily 150k+ players, then it actually might happen. Jagex probably doesn't see a need to create a lot of servers at this point. IMO though, another 5 would be useful. There are weekends with 210k+ players and there are weekends with 180k players. Runescape is becoming more and more popular, that's also a good sign! In members alot of places are pretty empty, because all of the players are spread out on the huge map, on all of the servers. Maybe f2p needs another server or two, but p2p definetly doesn't. They've made a millions of pounds. :D On the subject of worlds, whenever I'm sick and get the day of school I notice that the UK worlds only have 100-200 people in.
