Your no expert...that is really good.(I'm going on that you've done a few)

But either way it's really good the only thing you could of done to make it better was to put just a little shading into the hair then it would be perfect.

well I've worked with flash a lot in the past but haven't spent so much time on one image, ive always bin too concerned about getting the animation correct. this was done in illustrator.

yeah I need to atempt shading hair at some point, its a pet hate and probably signifcantly improve my work if I bit the bullet and had a go.

thx.

Featuring in my sig: TURT, ma pet turdle!

Thanks to- Runemetsa and Aijiru for two of the great sigs!

Avatar made by me

I like it but it seems all it is, is some vector art with a frame around it with an advertisement, it is not really incorporated into it.

wow, awsome! i want some!

my hair is currently around a foot long, extreamly curly, to the point of an afro, but im growing it so long that the weight of it will drag it down, its already starting, hmm... i really should straighten it, i can pull it all the way over my face. (been growing for about a year and a month from practicly bald)

anyways...

that vector is really cool =)

its well shaded, nicly blended, good lines, you say you didnt trace? o0

you also say your no expert, but i beg to differ, that piece was made amazingly well, certainly compaired to what ive seen, i think you should do these more often, they look really good.

I went ahead and added tomdavies90's fix to the first post :)

Pixel Art

Looks great, i dont really have C/C to give but its good.

Random suggestion: you could give him a tooth pick... or some sort of special tooth pick..like those cardboard ones? Lol

[back on topic] Nothing really to say except maybe you could do somthing with teh word VANS to make it look how the WHATS YOUR STYLE text does. But whether you change it or not its great

My style is nowhere near as good as Terley's.

the way the VANS is done is the company logo (google them) so yeah, he cant really change it.

on another note i went out to get some new shoes yestoday and i nearly got some vans but ended up getting some made by glode instead, still really cool tho =)

well im doing graphic design its all about the idea and layout, I wanted this crited as a whole not just the image of myself. I've been through reems and reems of layout suggestions and interpreted ideas. The arrow for example is symbolising my first idea derived on the quote; 'Life can only be understood backwards, but life must be lived forwards' instead of having a quote messing up the poster I decided to add in an arrow to suit the clean cartoony style.

thx for the comments guys, yes I do think I could change the logo in some way, im already going through that process because our challenge is to re-brand it, I hope I thought of something original.

I straightened my hair yesterday =) not sure how long it is but it looks slightly longer than in this picture now.

vistame09copyhr8.png

i wanna see a terley with straight hair XD

i always like it when theres hidden symbolism, im fact i do it more often that people often care to notic, but then im not telling you where, you'll have to work it out for yourself

I changed the palette, it seemingly had too much of a yellow tint to it..

Altered Vans Logo, didnt want to stray too far from what it was.

I thought the text was way too plain, researched some typographers and realised its alright to be playful with each individual letter.

oh and on the same subject my next project is to make a website for our newly branded trainers, you'll all be happy to know that im gonna be doing a lot of pixel art for this, even though vector would be the obvious way to go, we have to use Dreamweaver.

I started converting this into pixel art, now I know why I prefer this media.. only just started this like an hour ago.
