death666bl00ms
wow, I didn't realize this would get so many replies when I started it. Quoting Rebdragon: Alright, in that case it's a personal decision and a personal burden, so still no one should care. Are you changing your argument to "it's their problem, not mine"? Because it is against the rules... You say it seems to be the better choice to just buy Guthans with rl cash. Um, lets apply that theory to rl for a moment. If I look on the street, I see the people who have made the most money quickest to be the criminals: big time thiefs, drug dealers, weapon pushers, etc. Should I say, hrm, that seems like a quick way to make some money to spend having fun? Because, as I said earlier, it is against the rules. As are my examples above. Drastic they may be, I believe they still have validity. Now onto some other comments on this thread....such as "its not hurting anybody". How do we know that? THis is also where my other points come into play. If the child is truly "addicted", then he will be looking for ways to feed his addiction. ANd if he is buying rs money for rl money, he will look for ways to get rl money to buy more rs money. Easy money? Drug dealing, weapons, stealing. Drastic yes. Likely? That is to be debated. And it goes hand in hand with how addicted the child is. To see the faces of those who were dear to them bedewed with tears, and to clasp their wives and daughters in his arms." -Genghis Khan
Doughnut
But' date=' I do play 3-4.5 hours a day. :-w #-o ~Saruman[/quote'] But do you still get decent grades/do your job well? Do you still have a social life? If you answered yes to both questions then thats perfectly fine. Fine? Fine? That is by your opinion, it is nowwhere near the truth. Why should we subject ourselves to raising ourselves to your unworthy expectations? Someone plays 3.5 hours to 4 hours, so what, it's their life! Let them live ti like the way they want to. kthnxbai What in gods name are you talking about? ... :-k "A time comes when silence is betrayal" MLKJ Speak your mind, but be civil.Get mad, but do not rage.Do unto others as you would want done to yourself. Rebdragon
wow, I didn't realize this would get so many replies when I started it. Quoting Rebdragon: Alright, in that case it's a personal decision and a personal burden, so still no one should care. Are you changing your argument to "it's their problem, not mine"? Because it is against the rules... The law isn't always right in every circumstance. It can also serve a certain higher purpose (such as stopping gold farming by companies), but may have unavoidable side effects. Again, learn to question the law- do not follow it blindly. Your point faulters there. Just because someone's rich, they're evil? Reread that and think for a second, please. There was no logic behind that point anyways; you're equating paying for gp to practically murdering someone. Again, reread that and think for a second. Because, as I said earlier, it is against the rules. Learn to question the law. How many times do I have to say that? As are my examples above. Drastic they may be, I believe they still have validity. No, they don't. You can't compare extreme examples to mild ones- that's improper use of an analogy. Comparing the real world to Runescape is tricky business, and really only should be done if you have a clear cut, good analogy. Yours was not. Then it is a problem for the parents to solve, not you to whine about or ask for banning. Besides, if they are addicted to that point it's not the money's fault- it's the parents' and child's fault. You're getting into telling Jagex to tell parents how to teach their own children. Easy money? Drug dealing, weapons, stealing. Drastic yes. Likely? That is to be debated. And it goes hand in hand with how addicted the child is. Please move on to a more valid and applicable analogy- using extreme examples that involve physically and financially hurting others in the real world is not a good way to present your point. You're frikking comparing crimes that could get someone jailed for years to making an equal trade by buying harmless data with cash. Do they randomely come to their house or do the kids ask to be interviewed? BTW, maybe they were talking about the Penguin costume? I <3 Gears of War 2. WolfhunterXZ
What a blind idiotic mother he has. And he's SO gonna get banned if jagex catches wind of this story, they'll hunt him down and pwn his account. And then the kid will go through withdrawel and have to go to Rehab. It's those types of kids that ruin the game, they're the ones who have no life and make fun of you or whatever :( Wolfy is Officially Retired.I miss you all (Well, mostly my friends n stuff)If you want to talk to me, send me a message, I check the boards daily. :D

warren211
In these young years... parents think its natural for a child to enjoy a videogame so much. Just wait... once they're 32, having no job or relationship and lives with their parents playing all night, then we'll see what the parents think. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers.
