January 23, 200917 yr Was bored this morning so decided to spec Arcane, headed into WG and its frigging awesome, got the 300,000 damage achievement in the first game and did the most amount of damage out of both sides in the next game. May stick with it but seems to have more downtime than the Frostfire spec that i used before.

May stick with it but seems to have more downtime than the Frostfire spec ive been using but that may be because I didn't spec into the increased Spirit and Intellect talents. There is honestly no downtime at all with arcane. - 80% mana regeneration with mage armor and Glyph (and 30% talent) - 2 minute evocation - Mana shield only costs 1 mana per damage, not 1.5 The spell rotation isn't the most mana friendly but its pretty beastly, and mobs die quick.
January 24, 200917 yr Author Ding 80, and in the first 5 minutes I get my Tier 7.5 gloves. Seriously.

January 24, 200917 yr Author What kind of stats should I aim for before joining PUG Naxx 25's? I'm sure I can do the 10 mans right now, but curious. Current stats: 1450 spell damage 13.24% hit (190 hit and 6% from talents) 13.53% crit 10.67% haste (153 and 6% from talents) I'm an arcane build. I managed to pull 2k dps on that OS 25 man for Sari and that was without mirror image and and I was figuring out the fight lol. Plus I had a lot less spell damage.

I didn't have any of the Glyph's and hadn't invested in the increased Spirit and Itellect talents. Im thinking of staying Arcane, but is it as decent DPS for 5 mans/Raids as a Frostfire spec? And is there a decent spec for PVE and PVP?

January 26, 200917 yr Author Sorry for double post, but just did my first Naxx10 run. PUG with another guild (was 3 pug's or so and the guild) and we did the last 5 bosses. (Four Horsemen to Kel'Thuzad). Well, run went great. Not one wipe, and for my first time I didn't die once. In all honesty the boss fights were pretty easy, but I guess that is to be expected or a "kara level" raid instance. Managed to pull 2100DPS during the entire run, netting me 3rd.
January 27, 200917 yr to Stigg: computer with WoW installed is being upgraded (PSU, RAM, Graphics card) and guna take couple of days and going brussels this weekend so wont be on - just saying in case baneful decline cus of inactivness o.o <3
January 27, 200917 yr Ok, so finally 80. I want to start working toward raiding, but I am afraid to ask my guild (I will only stay with them for awhile longer probably, alot of them are elitist and tried making fun of me when I asked something I really didn't know) what I exactly need. I know I need to a. do lve 80 normal instances to get gear b. do heroics to get gear c. work on getting enchants and specific stats. C. is what I'm not sure as to where I should be getting into. I'm a feral druid (gonna tank I hope), and i'm not sure what stats I should be trying to stack. Someone today told me not to stack defence, but I think they were trying to lie to me. Anyone want to help me out please? Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you!
January 27, 200917 yr Author First of all, while gearing for a tank is fine I would stay DPS for instances and raids. Tanks really need top end gear to be considered. For a tank make sure you reach the defensive cap, and then work on avoidance and HP. Second, on my mage, I got away with doing maybe a couple of heroics (got a weapon) before I did a naxx 10 and vault raid(s) pug. Did just fine, as long as you can pull 2k dps you can get in any pug. (Naxx 10 the other day I did 2.2k dps over the entire run) Hell, as long as you can really do like 1600-1700 you'll fare fine. Naxx 10, OS and vault are all crazy [bleep]ing easy raids. Really just try and get naxx 10 pugs and stuff. ps: I'm almost at the hit cap now, 229 w/o food.
January 28, 200917 yr C. is what I'm not sure as to where I should be getting into. I'm a feral druid (gonna tank I hope), and i'm not sure what stats I should be trying to stack. Someone today told me not to stack defence, but I think they were trying to lie to me. Anyone want to help me out please? They were right, the talent survival of the fittest reduces your chance to be crit by 6%, raid bosses have a 5.6%(?) chance to crit a level 80 making you automatically crit immune. As for stats to go for, agil is the feral wonder-stat, it gives you crit, dodge and armour. Not too sure on the exact avoidance% you should be aiming for though as i don't have much experience with druids. Stamina is another top stat as well of course, specially for druids since they rely on avoidance and massive health pools to soak up damage rather than avoidance+mitigation like warriors/paladins. If you want to get into tanking though, i suggest http://www.tankspot.com probably the best site for tankng along with EJ.
January 28, 200917 yr Thank's guys, it makes a lot of sense now to me. I am gonna start looking for high agility gear then so I can increase my dps. I am only getting just over 1k dps right now, so I am just gonna look for a good rotation. My only fear though is if I do indeed just do DPS, is that no one will want to take me. Since getting 80 today, I have gotten probably 5 tells asking if I was a healer, and 1 asking if I was a tank. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! January 28, 200917 yr Author The problem is they are looking for a well geared tank or healer. Once you get gear you can probably go ahead and off tank at least. Also somewhat related but just got 2600DPS sustained on archavon in 25m Vault. Decent for a PvP spec, 3 day old mage.
January 28, 200917 yr I wouldn't say DPSing in instances is the best way to go for tank gear. For one, the only tank drops you'll be getting are the cast-offs of the main tank. Since as DPS in a group you shouldn't be rolling on off-spec pieces. Secondly there's plenty of gear available to a freshly dinged 80 tank. It's possible for a warrior to get 540 def as soon as they hit 80, it's easier for a druid to get heroic ready since they are already crit immune. There's loads of crafted gear about, also rep gear and normal 80 dungeons.. CoS, UP and maybe Heroic Nexus should be able to get you geared to start heroics. Check this thread out for where to start looking for gear. It's mainly aimed at aiming for Naxx but it lists pretty much every pre-heroic piece too: http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f97/4170 ... -list.html
January 28, 200917 yr Author I guess it depends. On my server we have a lot of really geared tanks and I don't think someone would let a lower geared tank MT (like I said he could just OT) a PUG. He could deal with a guild, but most generally have a designated geared MT...
January 28, 200917 yr I guess it depends. On my server we have a lot of really geared tanks and I don't think someone would let a lower geared tank MT (like I said he could just OT) a PUG. He could deal with a guild, but most generally have a designated geared MT... Well we are on the same server right (your still on burning blade?), so since what you say is probably true, I might as well keep up with dps. I'm in 'Horde High Council', and in big bold letters, it says 'DO NOT RAID WITH PUGS, OR YOU WILL BE KICKED', on the guild message (But I guess that only is for people who actually are on the main raid teams). I spent about 20 minutes at the training dummies in TB with recount, trying out different rotations, and it seems like it is really hard for me to find a good one. I'll keep trying though. To be honest, even though I'm a druid, I can't play feral for [cabbage]. But for Tanking Tankspot is a great resource. For DPS and gear try http://maxdps.com/druid/feral.php. It gives a list of gear that is upgrades for you, where its from, etc; depending on what stats you have and are trying to stack. Now, I have never played cat. But the one rotation it does give for kitty dps is "Mangle, Shred x 4, Rip"; might want to try that out.
