Is it possible to buy 30-days of game time at a retail store without a credit card?

I don't have a credit card, and don't have enough cash for 60-days.

So, was a EU TIF server ever settled? Thinking of starting my 10 day trial, heh!

Not being biased or anything, but I would genuinely recommend my server, Frostwhisper EU. It's a PvP server and the population of horde:alliance is about 4:3. However, the horde is more PvP based and the Alliance is more PvE based, both have great guilds for raiding casually and hardcore (Check out wowprogress.com for more information) but horde usually have Wintergrasp more often than Alliance. There are world PvP guilds on both sides so if that takes your fancy then you can do that too. There is rarely trade chat spam, pick up groups are high quality, the forums are good banter as well. We have the best level 60 and 70 raiding guilds, well we did, I'm not so sure, on the EU side, people would transfer old characters over to continue old school raiding.

Ah, while that sounds good, I'd prefer to play on a server where at least a few people from here play. Ideally ones who are just starting out - or have low level alts.

Before I had a credit card I think I remember going to the game store every month to buy 30-day cards. This was back in 2005-2006 though.

Sorry for double-posting, but I'm gonna go ahead and pitch a "EU TIF server" for those interested. How about Defias Brotherhood, horde-side? It's an RP-PVP server. A RL friend of mine plays there, and it's supposed to be almost idiot-free!

I'll give it a shot if I come back - I did want to roll a lock.

Just hit 49 on my hunter. Did a load of quests today, got roughly 210k xp bumping up from 47 to 49.

No to an RP server. They're very strict with what you can name your character, things you can say in trade chat etc.

Can't you get banned for saying "lol" in a RP server?

Can't you get banned for saying "lol" in a RP server?

That would be amazing. However, that may be how it is on an RP server, but not an RP-PVP server. They seem to be more lax on those sorts of rules.

As for the naming policies, obviously you should avoid naming your character Bigsexybutt, but I had a char that just had a different spelling of a substantive as a name for several months (as did a lot of people in my guild), and nobody whined about "THEIR IMMERSION". So yeah.

From my experience RP-PVP servers are just a more relaxed version of RP servers, where all the chill people from both RP and PVP servers play. Obviously some of the RP creeps are there but they are always fun to troll.

Nonononono make on Nazjatar, PVP server. Low population so its pretty peaceful. I vote Nazjatar!

Reminds me of trolling an RP server when our server was down during raid times with a mass level 1 raid on hogger.

We RP'd the [bleep] out of that.

Hey look Tip.It mobile! Pretty tight. Just hit 50 but my computer got screwed up so no WoW for a while D:

Sporeggar rep guide plz :>

Copy and pasted from my guild's website, we have quick guides for all factions. I will assume you are level 80, decently geared, and you're doing it to Exalted for the pet/hilarious mushroom tabard/The Diplomat achievement. I went from Unfriendly to Exalted with this faction in 3 hours, so its really not hard it just depends on your playing pace. The entirety of the grind takes place in Zangarmarsh.

1. Travel to the Spawning Glen and find Fahssn (turning on Low Level Quest tracking helps).

2. Accept the two quests he gives, The Sporelings' Plight and Natural Enemies.

-Completing each quest the first time grants 750 reputation, and after turning it in the first time you can pick up an identical repeatable version which grants 250 rep per completion.

-Bog Lord Tendrils you must collect in Natural Enemies have a low drop rate, so you'll mainly be collecting Spore Sacs for The Sporelings' Plight.

-Killing Bog Lords grants 15 rep per kill.

3. At Friendly, Fahssn will offer the quest Sporeggar, which obviously says to go to Sporeggar so do it.

4. At this point many quests will be instantly available, IGNORE THEM ALL except for the following:

-Pick up Bring Me A Shrubbery! from Gzhun'tt.

-Pick up Oh, It's On! from T'shu.

5. Both of these quests take place in the Underbog instance in Zangarmarsh, easily soloable by any decently geared 80 (I did this on my Mage in a PvP Frost Spec).

6. To perform Bring Me A Shrubbery! you must collect the item Sanguine Hibiscus which spawns in random spots in the Underbog (identified by its red glow, and drops off any mob inside the dungeon). A turn in of 5 Sanguine Hibiscus awards 750 rep, and then you recieve the repeatable quest Bring Me Another Shrubbery!, offering the same amount.

7. To perform Oh, It's On! you must take a piece of the plant that spawns behind Hungerfen, and doing so will automatically engage him. This quest is a one-time, non-repeatable quest and is worth 350 rep. Since you'll be in the Underbog anyways you might as well do it.

8. At this point gathering and turning in Sanguine Hibiscus will be your method of gaining reputation until Exalted.

-The best method of doing this is entering the Underbog, kill all the mobs and loot them for the item. Also check around the area as it spawns on the floor as well. Clear past Hungerfen until you encounter Naga then run out, reset the instance and repeat.

-It takes 260 Sanguine Hibiscus turned in to go directly from Friendly to Exalted (240 as a Human). Sanguine Hibiscus are tradeable so you may be able to find them on the Auction House as well (usually highly overpriced).

When you hit Exalted visit the Quartermaster in Sporeggar for your purchases. The Sporeggar currency is Glowcaps, which spawn randomly around Zangarmarsh.

Hope this helps. Our guide on the guild site also includes screenshots/maps/etc but I was too lazy to insert all those images. Wowhead can help ya there if you need them.

Pretty easy, simple guide to follow for your painful rep grind.

Yeah im doubting between the naga's and the hibiscusses. Underbog isnt soloable for me on lv68 yet. And if youre doing it with multiple people naga seems way better.

Sporeggar is easy, just buy it from the AH, only took me a few weeks to gather everything i needed, also did the same with the Aldor.

Went through Sunwell Plateau for the first time yesterday. Downed Kil'jaeden and a Warrior ninjaed the bow, didn't bother me as a mage but the rage from some people was hilarious.

Always ninja the last drop.

Thats why raids usually have a master looter

who always ninjas the head of the dragon in BWL

My Warrior is now in possession of both Jin'rohk and Zin'rokh.

Time to get me some trollish armour and I will be the best-looking troll in town. >:3

Re-rollled, got tired of my Warlock.

Now am a level 10 Gnome Mage. :)

Going with a Frost spec I found on the forums, supposedly it's good for both leveling and PvP.

Frost is good, yes.

Went back to playing my original character, a holy paladins made when pallies weren't overrated as today. Leveled my engineering from 300 to about 400, got a the Engie epic flyer, and doing stuff to get better gear. My gears from the heroics/rep vendors pre-Nax, lol. In my defense I took a loooong break. :ohnoes:

Server: Dalvengyr

Characters: Jakesterwars (80 Warrior), Enzite (80 Shaman), Snapyourjaw (DK 80), Isheepyou (67).

I played for probably 2 years (08-early 10). I loved the game up until the death of the Lich King. It got so boring after that because everything else was pewpew no QQ. I liked the QQ portion to a point because it left room for improvements.
