Dalyrus
I don't know whether this has already been done, or for that matter, whether any will find this interesting at all. :P However, I just thought I'd make this list and it could possibly create some discussions. This list shows all of the people within the game who have reached level 99 in a skill. *Note - This list is being compiled at 21:07 GMT, March 1st '07. Attack - 12,880. Defence - 7,585. Strength - 14,052. Hitpoints - 9,285. Ranged - 4,487. Prayer - 1,237. Magic - 3,622. Cooking - 10,891. Woodcutting - 3,754. Fletching - 11,189. Fishing - 1,451. Firemaking - 1,423. Crafting - 308. Smithing - 476. Mining - 350. Herblore - 126. Agility - 197. Thieving - 950. Slayer - 181. Farming - 121. Runecrafting - 160. Hunter - 271. Construction - 86. *Note: List completed at 21:37 GMT. March 1st '07. I hope that interests a few people, I know there's a few jaw droppers in there for me. Not particularly when we get lower down to the newer stats, thus having lower numbers, but more so some of the others. Such as mining and smithing. Those two skills have been on RuneScape since classic, yet only a tiny proportion of the entire community has managed to achieve the highest level. There were one or two more which were slight surprises, but I shall hopefully leave some of you to discuss this!
Harrington
LOL, good work... but you're gonna have one hell of a job keeping up to date and accurate lol ;) Would be interesting to see someone develop a graph over the next 6 months of so.
Dragonwizerd
lol, cool, nice to know someone did something like this before skill capes now, maybe we should get a link for a comparison eh? Yayyyyyy...
elmo_killer6
Somewhat useless but whatever. However there is one thing that I don't think you took into account: the fact that F2Pers don't get skillcapes.
-Devoted12-
A lot less people with crafting than I would have thought. Anyways, very nice. Good luck keeping it up to date.

Even over a month or so to see how much it changes would be interesting. < | Runehead | Learning Java Programming, Please PM Me Tips | Signature by Loaf2000 | >

atestarossa
i'm a little suprised about the higest ones... seeng as i always though that fletching was #1 followed by cooking#2 with str/attack under that again.. but seeng that both strenght and attack is achieved by less people, i'm quite suprised! that really counts with attack, as i've seen countless more cooking and fletching capes that attack :/ and with cooking and fletching beeng the least "respected" (as long you can say that for getting 99) even though attack is greater than both :/
das1330
that must have been annoying. I tried compiling a list, but I gave up after fleching. nice work though, how long did it take you?
LordSoultar
I was doing this a few months ago, forgot all about it until I saw this topic. I had planned on graphing and seeing if it could be used to show the impact of major updates on which skills people train. Here it is: August 1st, 2006 Attack: 5,589 Defence: 3,733 Strength: 5,957 Hitpoints: 4,902 Ranged: 2,048 Prayer: 205 Magic: 1,306 Cooking: 3,539 Woodcutting: 1,397 Fletching: 4,141 Fishing: 486 Firemaking: 401 Crafting: 95 Smithing: 272 Mining: 190 Herblore: 52 Agility: 68 Thieving: 242 Slayer: 62 Farming: 39 Runecrafting: 58 Construction: 26 September 1st, 2006 Attack: 6,324 Defence: 4,204 Strength: 6,747 Hitpoints: 5,417 Ranged: 2,271 Prayer: 261 Magic: 1,473 Cooking: 4,125 Woodcutting: 1,578 Fletching: 4,612 Fishing: 561 Firemaking: 437 Crafting: 102 Smithing: 288 Mining: 206 Herblore: 57 Agility: 75 Thieving: 266 Slayer: 79 Farming: 43 Runecrafting: 66 Construction: 32 October 1st, 2006 Attack: 7,014 Defence: 4,649 Strength: 7,519 Hitpoints: 5,912 Ranged: 2,468 Prayer: 314 Magic: 1,645 Cooking: 4,640 Woodcutting: 1,734 Fletching: 5,048 Fishing: 621 Firemaking: 483 Crafting: 117 Smithing: 305 Mining: 217 Herblore: 66 Agility: 80 Thieving: 303 Slayer: 89 Farming: 54 Runecrafting: 80 Construction:
Viv
attack and str are factored in combat so i'm not that suprised. fletching and cooking 99s greatly increased with the skill capes released. also..it is interesting the ones that have less then 1k players will 99s. and remember this too when you get discouraged going for a 99 because a bunch of people have it, 20000/1mil = top 2% which means that you'll be better then 98% of players in fletching/cooking/attack/str. any 99 is impressive. the pure combat players are really the reason for these numbers. also since the capes more people went for fishing/cooking cause thier was a ton of people with strenth and attack before the capes. no_way2go
Smithing - 476 : Would cost me Mining - 350 : I've actually met around 8 people of the 826 people who got one of these skills to 99. 1% of probably the most dedicated rs players.... You also have to keep in mind that some players might have quit after getting bored playing rs for 6 years :ohnoes: - Back to casual f2p scaping due to limited time (university and girlfriend ) -
