ORLANDO, FL (AP) -- A man dressed like a ninja broke into an Orlando home, smashed furniture, attacked two people and then vanished without a trace.

Three people were inside the home watching a movie Sunday afternoon when the ninja ran in, punched one man in the mouth and then kicked another man.

The victims -- who did not want to be identified -- reported that the costumed man slammed the DVD player and VCR into a dresser. Then he pulled out a knife and started waiving it around. The victims say the intruder didn't steal anything from the house but took several pictures with his cell phone camera.

When it was time for the ninja to make his escape, he didn't disappear in a cloud of smoke. The victims say the man ran down the street to a black BMW and drove off.

I'm not sure what compeled me to post this other than its one of the funniest mental images I've ever gotten. No oe was serriously hurt and nothing was stolen.

Anyone else have any news storys that showcase just plain odd criminals?

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

I wonder why he took pictures. I reckon it was some sort of practical joke.

[excessive use of acronyms]ROFLMAO LOL OMGROFL, lqtm...[/excessive use of acronyms]

I could so see that. Some teenager comes in, starts doing his lame karate moves or whatever, pulls out a phone, starts taking pics, then hops out of a window... Hilarious. That's something that sounds like it came off of like, The Colbert Report or another one of those parody news shows.

If a ninja attacked my house I'd probably let him steal one item just out of spite because he has the balls to do it  That's one of the most random things that could ever happen to you while watching a movie with your friends.

..Your parents will really believe your explanation if the silverware or some electronics from the living room have disappeared. So will the insurance company. "A ninja assaulted my house"

Poor movie, I wonder what it was, or where it was at when they so "gracefully' yanked the DVD/VCR player out of the wall.

Just imagine:

Movie: "Four turtles. Four brothers. Genetically reborn in the sewers of New York. Named after the Renaissance masters and trained as..."

People: Holy [cabbage]! A "mutant" ninja "turtle" ! Hurry, check which one!

Lame, I know, my creativity isn't very good at the moment. :(

I'd halt that dude for a few pictures if he broke into my house. I found a new hero, to be honest.

I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.
