I leveled to ___ 'nice mine is __' discussion

It might just be me, but when I see someone level and that person shouts for joy that the they gotten 40attack or 60mage I always hear someone say immeditly after ' nice mine is 70 or my magic is 88

It might just be me but do you find that rude? that a person accomplished a simple goal or level and then gets told that another person level is higher then theirs?

Like for example,

Noob ' I just got 40attack, wooo00t'

Guy ' nice mine is 88'

It angers me what about you?

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob.

People in OT eat glass when they are bored.

Ehhh I hate that. Especially when it's a skill you hate and it's low.

Yeah, i said "need an ego boost?" to some guy ranging yesterday when he asked someones level just so he could respond with his higher. I HATE it when people (who obviously look your stats up) ask you a level just so they can respond with theirs even though i didnt even ask it. I was mining a few days ago and someone asked me my mining, i said "58" and they said "oh im 25". Then a minute later they ask me my crafting, so i respond with "63" and they say "67 :)". Really annoyed me.

I was in the mining guild yesterday, getting some coal. Someone asks for mining levels, I give mine.

He doesn't believe me and calls me a noob.

I tell him to check hischores, so he does.

Then he starts pm'ing me he has a main with 100 mining :^o :shame:

English isn't his first language, obviously, as he isn't making spelling mistakes, but sentence structure mistakes. You shouldn't make fun of him for that.

Yeah really, be more considerate. Or we'll start judging you by your horrible lack of capitalization. If you actually took the time to look to the left of his post, it says: "Location: Belgium."

Anyway. It always happens to me but I always just say 'awesome' or 'congrats!' then usually they ask for mine.

Those people are show-offs. I'm not going to tell someone my levels unless they ask.

Put yourself in the opposite situation..

I'm 96 ranged, and I always feel REALLY awkward when I'm in that situation.

For example, I get this alot:

Person: yay! 75 range!!

Me: Grats! Nice one ;)

Person: Thanks, what's your range?

Me: 96

Person: Then why patronise me -.-

Whenever that happens I immediately feel bad. This happens all the time :wall:

It's a tricky one though, because I have to say something like grats as I don't want to appear rude. Also, I don't want to appear to be a show off, but this happens by default :|.

I hate it when this happens:

P1) Nice Cooking Level.

Me) Ty

P1) Np

I hate that for some reason! :wall: <.<

You hate it because you thanked them for something trivial and simple- congratulating you on a number in a computer game. The phrase "no problem" is used when something is a problem or a burden, but is done in the hopes of aiding another. The phrase is used to set the mind of the helped person at ease, so as not to feel as if they're being bothersome by asking for or just receiving unrequested aid.

Basically, just saying "Nice X level" doesn't give one the right to say "no problem", because it is already self-evident that it isn't a problem. Ya, I hate it too. It's like they want a medal for congratulating you or something.

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

same here, when someone lvls, i ask them if they didn't say, then say nice or congrats. i hate it myself, i lvld fletching four times in cathy bank, there was always someone saying nice, mine is 80+. i think they just are being rude, even if they don't mean it. (see the pun?)

This doesn't really annoy me with skills, but with items, it does. I don't really know why. It's just that me getting say, a santa hat, and someone showing off with a party hat set would annoy me more than if I get 1,500 total then someone comes in and says "Cool. I have 2,000". Maybe it's because people are mainly showing off with items.

That, is the third most annoying thing in the whole of Runescape (1. Autoers, 2. Scammers).

The amount of times I've been playing and have suddenly sworn out loud in.. sheer disgust that the other player is such a... *calms down*

Damnit!! It's not like I've benifited in any way from some [developmentally delayed]ed [puncture] of a backward American complimenting me! <.<

Okay, I think this is actualy above scammers in my most annoying list. -.-

I used to get that all the time when I was getting my woodcutting to 99... It is a tricky situation that I usually *attempted* to get out of by saying something to the affect of "you're getting there!!" or "Just keep woking on it. You'll get there." It usually works.....

I refuse to say my levels unless asked, as I feel no reason to brag about it. It doesn't bother me when they brag about their levels towards me, but rather when they do it towards newer players. And then when used in conjunction with the word noob, it is just pathetic.
