Grand Exchange Petition

Hi everyone.

I'm creating a petition that im hoping to submit to Jagex.

the petition is to remove the 5%< item value >5% at the grand exchange. I'm hoping to get enough names that they will notice the issue at least... :)

The Grand Exchange was a good update on Jagex's part; i simply do not agree with the +5% -5% rule.

1. Please do not flame as im trying to nicely gather names of people who agree with me, i am not here for arguements, im here for a solution.

2. If you agree please put your name, than place a space under your Runescape name, under that space you may comment if you wish.

edit. petition for the change in which finding/trading occurs:

if you want willow logs then on the search you should put 'willow logs' and it brings up all willow log offers within the GE.

I'm more concerned with how everybody is selling at the lowest end of the market value to sell it quicker (after all, there's LOADS of people that sell the same type of goods), and then the market value falls, the 5% falls with it, and the prices go down. I guess an example might be Furies; they were 3.75 before the GE and now the market value is about 3497K.

Edit: no support. It would remove a huge point of why Jagex put it there: to stop autoers. Without the market value rule, someone could buy 100M RS gold, put up burnt bread for 100m, and let the cheat site buy the burnt bread. Voila.

Sorry if you don't want any constructive criticism, but its more than 5% for some items, the range is actually quite reasonable for almost all items.

The G.E. would not work for large price ranges because then you'd have no idea what people are willing to pay for the item.

EDIT: Some prices are low for a reason now. Just because they "costed" so-and-so before the update just means people blindly payed that much. Now its coming to light that there are people who are willing to sell for much less, which is FAIR. Why should people who don't work hard earn easy money.

Um why exactly? If you post a rant you can't bar people who disagree with you from posting. That makes for a one sided discussion.

And no I don't support. I agree with what someone else said in an earlier post about how everyone is putting what they are selling at the lowest price, that could cause problems, but other then that no.

You can sell your items another way if you don't want to pay or sell for a certain price. The grand exchange is, in fact, not the only way to trade items.

Also, the limit is so people don't get ripped for 100k's. It sucks, but learn to deal with it. I sure have.

Sorry but I really have to say that nobody will listen to your petition in its current state, no matter how many names you gather. When making a formal petition, you actually have to organize an argument and present your case in a formal manner. You can't simply say "We should do this!" You basically have to write a series of arguments that explain why it would be a good idea to change the current system. If Jagex gets a "petition" that says "The price caps are bad and stuff, remove them" they won't listen to it no matter if you have 500 signatures or 5 million signatures.

This idea would not work unless all of the sales were listed as everyone thought they would be. They won't be, so the current system is fine. The prices will settle soon.

Yes, say amount being sold not sellers though. But yes that would work well, and I would support that.
