Food
I am out of spinich and a few other things (and supper is not for a few hours) so I don't have a pic. Basicly I make a mean Taco Salad. Its really basic too. Cover a plate with spinich leaves. Chop up some bell pepper, and whatever else you like on tacos. I often do cucumber too as a salad part. When your cooking the ground beef in a pan, once you cant find any red meet left, add some salsa (or pizza sauce if you have a half full leftover can that will go rancid any minute because its been open for 24 hours), and keeping it still on medium heat add the salsa and boil that for a couple minutes while you make sure your beef won't kill you when you eat it. Then, while its still warm get that beef on your plate on the spinich, and throw on your toppings and grated cheese. I also like to put greek slaad dressing, especialy if I didn't have any salsa or pizza sauce. It smells awsome and tastes awsome too. I buy ground beef a couple kilos at a time. Another one that comes from limated ability to consume grain, starch and refined sugar is this one. Potates are starch, and I reserve my starch tolorance for potato chips. Besides, this tastes better. Get a cauliflower. Chop it up into small pieces (dosn't need to be to small, but smaller is better), and boil it in water for 12-15 minutes until its quite soft. Then, drain teh water and mash it. Add some butter and you have a mashed potatoe substitute with about 30x more flavour and that smells amazingly good. You can also put some spices on this, I think I use nutmeg or something, but dont use to much. Have fun with it. Also, in a sealed container, this will keep for a very long time. Cauliflower is good for a few days, this will keep (if airtight sealed) for a couple weeks easy.

Would you marry someone if
This depends. Did we already sleep together? Did she tell me or did I find out? It's not like I expect to be the first guy shes slept with, and I should hope shes not expecting that of me either. Now, I don't know if I could sleep with her after that, and if I did, it would be in a way I probably wouldn't have kids. I wan't kids. This is a situation I don't know how I would react untill it happens (if it dose). That, or if you can convince me I want to hypnotised, we could probably get the answer much sooner if at all. Good luck though, I don't trust myself not to do something really stupid while hypnotised (especialy seeing as the next show is rated XXX), so I don't think theres anyway I could make myself willing.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
[hide] [/hide] I agree fully with this. If your attracted to a girl (as in you have a girlfriend for example), I would not consider it to be a good thing if you looked at another girl and felt just as strongly about her as the girl your with. Oneitis is not being able to get over someone after your relationship hit the fan and it all ended. My borther is marrying a girl who had a boyfriend like that. He was calling her and emailing her from most of the way accross Canada (which is a pretty long distance) for the first few months of my brothers relationship. At somepoint they both put there foot down and pointed out they were living together and he could basicly go [bleep] himself and stop calling at 4am in a druken stupor. THATS oneitis, or one form of it. Now about me  Right before the posts got deleted, I talked about a girl I met at frosh week, whom I really like (though shes not strictly the only one, just #1). Problem: Shes got a boyfriend. I don't know anything about him, never met him, I don't know if hes still in highschool, gratuated and gone to another university, or graduated and not going to post-secondary education. I know he dosn't go to the uni we go to, and to me that says their days of a relationship are probably numbered. Anyways, I pretty much came to terms that my chances of having a relationship with her are about zero for the next few months anyways, so I moved on, but descided being good friends would still be completly worthwhile (shes not that different from what I would be if I were a girl, cept that im half a foot taller). Anyways, at some point she started suggesting things to do (which is good, means she must at least like me as a friend I guess). Well, at University this also makes sense too. For example, we both like to skate but neither of us really has anyone to skate with (worse for her, I live practlicly on campus, as in I can spit out my window and hit the largest residence, she live like a 30min+ drive away), so doing stuff together at University makes sense. Well, maybe she like me more than I thought, I am suffering wishful thinking, or her bf just dosn't like hockey because she mentioned she would like to go see a game sometime. So thats together at night, downtown in the city. I still doubt I would get her into my house (she said no the first time, and I think she'll tell me if that changes). Did mention these tickets pretty much appeared out of thin air, for free, the day after she told me she wanted to see a game (and this is why you should be on good terms with your parents :D ). So I wonder if im imagineing things, because this dosn't seem typical for a girl in a relationship whos already told you her boyfriend dosn't want her going over to other guys houses.

Streamlining.
RuneScape will never be finished because it is in a constant state of change. Thats a Given. As to reusing things, its a time thing. If every single thing were created fresh, the graphics team would need to be larger, things would be slower to develop, and the game would probably be more expensive. The fact that all new animations for an entire quest could add a month to production, as well as increase the size of the game is a reason to reuse some things. Now, reusing really uniqe things can get kinda cheep. But, we probably don't notice it in other areas. By all rights, we are short a number of teleport animations. One for each spell book, one for jewlery, but what about the other category? The ectophial has a redone standard tele, but then you have something like the crystal seed which is the same as an standard tele. Mounted glorys use that animation too. The problem is that RuneScape is huge on epic proportions. To actualy redo the game and bring it all into the same era, they would pretty much need to halt all development for a minimum of 1 or 2 years. They are in a bad position because there are so many large projects in the pipeline that all the small stuff is having a hard time getting through. It also means they aren't going to allow anything large to take longer than they feel is needed. If that means reusing a few animations to get something out of the way, they'll do it.

Temple of Light: Sound Beams
If anyone has ever read the 7th tower Series (or the first book) by Garth Nix, you'll understand this better. In the first book there is a part where the main charecter must perform a musical piece. This is done by using a sunstone (stone that stores the power of the sun, and can emit light in controlled beams of any colour, and many beams can be projected at once) to send light beams into a crystal tree to make sounds. There is also a visual display much light a hologram from startrek also created by the sunstone (this is extreme multitasking if you ask me). I wonder if puzzle 3 will be setting up different sounds in different places, creating some creepy harmony.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I hear you. I have the exact same problem. The trick is getting her out of your head enough that you can go for someone else. You also have a choice to make. You can either wait and hope she breaks up, or risk blowing your chance forever and become friends. For me, I choose friends (partialy because I was with her alot for a couple days before finding out she had a boyfriend, so ignoreing her was not an option). Honestrly, the girl I found has such a great personality I would consider a lasting friendship a huge victory. Shes the kind of person I wish I had as a neighbor growing up. Anyways, its probably gonna be a tough choice for you, but I think you should definatly be the one to make it. Becomeing friends dosn't always end dateing opportunities (unless you become really good friends, in which case neither of you would risk that friendship for a date), but it will set them back a ways.

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
I have two views. On the one hand its incredibly unnatural in the sense that a homosexual species is doomed to extinction because it will fail to procreate. That said, it could be a population control mechanisim that becomes more common as the human population increases. On the other, I doubt anyone would choose to be homosexual, and I don't belive in presecuting people for something they cant control when it really has no impact on other people (other than the fact most gay guys I have met have been complete [wagon] whom every guy hates, and are frustratingly popular with girls). Being strait, its pretty easy to say the normal orientation urge is pretty damn strong. It would take a load of willpower to turn that feeling on another guy (talking about guys here, girls seem to be more open to this naturaly). Not only do you have to try and feel that way about a guy, but you need to suppres the urges towards girls. First, I don't think any sane strait guy would actualy do that. Not worth the effort. Second, I dont think any guy actualy could do that for years and years. I consider it to be a mamlfuntion in the body. Something at our near birth where something gets really messsed up. That said, I don't hold it against people. At the end of the day its less competition for me, and while most gay guys are [wagon] whom strait guys tend to despise, I know some really nice guys who are gay, and are subtle about it (I know a couple who dont have the gay vocal inflection sound). I judge people on an individual basis, and that goes for everything. I am willing to give anyone a chance. I guess, no, I don't think being gay is right. It defies the natural order of things, and I can't get passes that (right now). But does it matter? Hell no!

Unjustified censorship!
I belive that the words are censored because their only use in a game like RuneScape, is to be used as explitives. I would imagine that usage would be more insulting than the censorship itself is. I will also point out that someones sexual orientation has absolutly no place in the game either. It's on that unwriten list of things that people don't discuss because all it does is cause flame wars. The game is host to some if the most biggeted and close minded people you could ever have the misfortune to meet. Now, the game is home to some incredibly selfless and many caring people too, but theres no need to open the doors for the first group, The obnoxious people are always the loudest, and this would only cause more problems than it would solve. The words aren't censored because the words are bad. They are censored, because no good can come from their usage in the game.

Fighting An Open Liquor Ticket
Unless you wan't to fight the law itself, your paying the ticket. And fighting the law would cost thousands of dollars, and seeing as its a just and resonable law, you won't be able to fight it anyways. So you have two options that I know of. Pay the ticket or don't. I suggest paying the ticket unless you want your own personal lear that will prevent you from ever having a loan for teh rest of your life until you pay it off, and it will probably have interest.

What is your favorite runescape god
Guthix and Armandyl (neutral with a preferance for order). Saradomin is to full of BS for something that embodys wisdom for me. Zammorack is fake evil. He's only the God of chaos, and chaos for the sake of chaos is pointless as it just makes everyones life harder with no offsetting benifit. Also, since Zammorack is chaos and essentaily unlawfulness, wouldn't his opposite be Armandyl (Law&Order), not Saradomin. That suggests that Zaros might be the opposite for Saradomin (Wisdom) which brings a whole new meaning to empty lord (Zaros). Specificly, empty head or Zaros, God of Ignorance. But I think it stacks up this way: Armandy (Pure Good) Saradomin (Minor Good) Guthix (Neutral) Zammorack (Minor Evil) Zaros (Pure Evil)

How many times has the ring of life saved you?
Not counting the contact quest, I think I have burned 4 of them. I burned 4 or 5 during contact trying to use, water spells (water wave was my strongest at the time) and melee. Then I realised he was weak to earth, and more importantly, Iban Blast. I walked in there and blew the boss away with 12 casts of Iban. I almost used what probably would have been my tenth ever during my first fight against bork. I was using protect from mage, and at the end the melee attacks got really intense and started actualy hitting me, bringing me from near my max of 80 down to 9 health in seconds. My ROL would have activated had I lost one more point, but I was already eating, switched to prot melee, took a huge mage hit from surok and kicked Borks sorry [wagon] in no time seeing as I didn't need to eat anymore.

Jagex claims carousel "not a hint at horses" Is this a hint at horses?
I'm likeing how the RuneScape community is so pathetic that almost every post is an attack on Jagex.

Jagex claims carousel "not a hint at horses" Is this a hint at horses?
They know full well that had they said nothing the RSOF and probably tip.it (along with other fansites) would be in an uproar about this new hint at horses. The RSOF would start it by drawing conlusions from an irrelivent picture and then pulling some half assed idea out of their [wagon]. The fansites would follow and we would have rumors on the epicly stupid scale of sailing (the last response to that by a jmod, if you read between the lines, said clearly "Its a stupid idea and no one at Jagex can figure out why players would even want this skill, especialy since not a single boat in RS, trawler included, actualy moves"). By putting in this line, they get to laugh at the stupid people in the RSOF who think Jagex is lying again. Now maybe horses are coming. I honestly don't care. But I don't want to be anticipating an update for 6+ months before its arrival, so I will go ahaead and trust Jagex. If horses come out, I can shrug and say in hindsight it was obviously a hint, and I can be happy that horses are here out of the blue for me to enjoy, it will be an awsome supprise. If horses never come out, I can say I knew it was just them joking about how people react on the RSOF to precived hints that mean nothing, and never be disapointed about the lack of horses because I never expected them in the first place. Eaither way, I win \:D/

Removal of new high level potions in PvP
I don't disagree with the removal of these potions from bounty hunter and PvP worlds, as well as dueling arena and fight pits. However, removal from Castle Wars and Soul Wars in sort of pointless. While Herblore is not a combat skill, and as such does not have a place giving an advntage in combat, your opponents are not risking anything in CW or SW, and it would be nice for those with extreme herblore levels to be able to use these pots against other players in a pvp situation where the advantage is not all that important. I can't see the pots being so powerful that entire games of CW or SW would be decided by one team having a player with 96 herblore.

how does runescape help you in life?
At the very worst, RuneScape has tought me how to type much faster than I used to be able to do. I can almost touch type now, and while there are plenty of people faster and more accurate than I am, its a lot better than using your two pointer fingers to jab your key board which is exactly how I typed about 5 years ago. Thanks to my maniacal drive to attempt proper English unless game circumstances demand something faster, my typing does not produce papers that would give me a failing grade in English (I can keep the chatspeek out of school work). It developed some of my early interest in Economics, which has since proven to be my best course (I got my schools economics award), and something I might major in after Engineering (Electrical/Computer). I have learned an odd set of social skills. Specifically, if I ever meet a bunch of people with asperger's syndrome (people who's brain does not naturally recognize non-verbal cues and communication), I'll be all set. I am a much more reliable and often more responsible person on line than in the real world, so having something that shows me what I could be without spending any effort to see this possibility is a gift. At some point I realized how stupid it is that I am more reliable online to people I don't know, and have changed myself to reflect those quality's in me that are brought out by RuneScape. Oddly, I think my online reliability has suffered for it, but real life is more important. There aren't always real people around when I want them, so this game can be a stand in for real people when I want to talk at 1am and no one else I know is awake (or sober enough to warrant a phone call). Being at University pretty much killed any chance of overplaying the game (would be very expensive to try that), limiting me to more healthy hours. It will also function and a stress sink for me, allowing me to relax. Always a good thing. MUCH healthier than trying to vent (which is habit forming). I think this games done quite a bit for me. And while there has been some negative impacts to my life for sure, its also had some big pros over the years. And now that I can balance the real world and online activity's, its not a big deal for me. I have repaired the negative stuff already, so I have come out ahead in the end.

New GWD room? New Quest Area? Amazing Find!
My guess is a cutscene. They don't leave future content lying around like this as far as I know, so I would assume this is already used in the game. Since no one knows where, I would assume its a cutscene. Which cut scene I don't know, but I saw people saying it looked a bit familiar, so maybe its one to a quest many people have not done such as WGS.

PMods - Purpose or Status?
It would be immpossible for there not to be mods who are in love with their crown. The crown as a symbol has many powers. It can instill fear, awe, respect, hatred and so on in many players. Many players look up to the crown, and many look down. There are even some rare people who can talk to someone with a crown as if they are actualy a player. So many players see the crown as a manifestation of authority that it would be hard to immagine not one mod being attracted to the power of their position. What the crown actualy is, is an ID badge. It basicly says that for all things rule based, this player actualy knows what there talking about. Many mods however, see the crown not as a symbol, but as a tool. The crown goes a long way to difusing a tense situation if the mod can choose the right words. It can distract people so well that a political conversation thats about to turn into a verbal nuclear war will stop dead in its tracks. The crown can call BS on scammers. But the crown is also cursed. In pvp, the crown is basicly a huge bullseye sign. People drop what there doing to go kill the mod. People will hate mods because they see them as authority figures, so the crown attracts loads of harrasment to it. It hinders normal conversation. Finding people who can actualy talk to a mod as if there was no crown is not a common event, instead you get flamed, questioned, and your own personal army of suck-ups. And then theres the questions. Its a wonder mods don't all mute anyone who asks: Whats a mod or How did you get modded or Whats it like to be a mod. If a mod flys off the handle after that sort of question its probably related to their being asked that question 50 times already that day. There are MANY mods who would love to be able to turn the crown off, so as to play the game with some normalcy. Many mods are diven to have a second charecter to get away from the questions. Sure thats not the same as giving it up entirely. Partly thats an emotional bond, but partly being a mod without the crown would pretty much hinder everything a mod does but report and mute. It would also allow everyone to claim they are a non-crowned mod (which is probably why they cant hide them). There are mods out there who only care about status yes, but so many more mods who are more than that, better than that. As for the changes to mod selection. Its important to understand just how unimportant reporting was even before the update. Yes, it counted, but accuracy was, and still is, many times more important that reporting quantity. What the change has done is allowed people who are really active in the community a better chance at being modded. The change has basicly been that Jagex is more open about the proccess, just as they are being more open about mods themselves. As for speaking through chat, not even the mods are in love with that, probably beecause people keep telling them to shut up. The colution would be to go to another chat tab (I think that works), or just ignore them. The ignore list does silence them. Why are they needed? Specificly looking at the mute, there are two major situations where a mute is more practical that ignoreing. The first is personal information. Some people are not smart enough to know not to give away their home address, or whatever else could be used to find them. Basicly, the person is not likely to ignore the person asking the questions, so preventing the qiestions from being asked is helpful. This goes the other way too. Are you going to ask where someone lives and then ignore them incase they answer you? The mute can also protect people by stopping them from spilling their life story. Theres other examples but what it comes down to is the intended purpose of teh pmods mute is not to punish, but protect. It also serves to take things that have no place in the game (solicitation, racisim) out immediatly. Alot of pmods are driven by a desire to make the game a better place, not oppress fellow players.

Dev Blog - Andrew Gower's Answers 03-Sep-09
He said sailing was possible, not that it would happen. MMG is still CEO, and as long as thats the case I doubt hes going to allow andrew to impliment that skill  . And apparently all the people taking everything Jagex says as a promise of new content (example: sailing is possible, our current plans are..., etc) are the people discouraging them from being more open in the first place.

What Determines Your First Impression on Others?
Name and attempt at spelling/grammar. Also the first sentance. I don't use perfect grammar or spelling, and I know that, but I do try and expect others to do the same. The name is a big one for me. I have certain ascosiations with certain types of name. Mostly though, I try to look at what someone is actualt saying and focus as much judgement as possible on that. Call it an immediate second impresion if you will. I all but ignore post count and date joined.

2nd September 2009 - Shops, RuneTek5, Autocasting, Patches
I'm in love I wonder how many people are going to wonder why Claws of Guthix was not in the patch notes for being autocastable...(It already was autocastable for anyone wondering). PC is going to be busy as every mage wants to get a void mace. I love the new graphics, there freaking awsome. And my laptop is supprising me by taking it all in stride. Its not a powerful graphics engine (it was designed to render HD movies, not to play games), but its still resonably new and that seems to be enough to max everything. Now, if only this didn't come on the day I probably move into a house for University as I fear might not be able to find an internet connection (to hold me over until our house gets one). Oh well, at least I got to see the update first. The only thing worrying me is the shop stock thing. As stupid and awful as infinate stock may be (economics wise), I never found the minimums on the GE a problem (and they are all that maintains a resonable price for all armour under rune), but hopefully they left the ones that are still needed. I guess I got used to the infinate stock, but this shouldn't be a problem, and I got along fine for 3 years under an arguably worse system just fine. Naturaly people are complaining that the graphics are no longer so bad they burn the eyes when compared to the awsomeness of the new. Someday they will find teh graphical awsomeness off buttons so they can play in whats pretty close to the old style stuff. I think the new cursors are worth getting usd to, less moving my eyes to the corners to see whats going on is always a good thing. I like the new diary awards. Seem pretty fair to me considering I was not even using teh rewards that were replaced. I do hope you still get bonus xp at brim agility though.

Runescape updates
If there is one thing Jagex refuses to do (with regards to updates), it is give us a schedule. They abolished the monthly announcements because they felt tied to a deadline. When they tell people something is comeing and it dosn't come, people get MAD. Never mind they would be just as upset if Jagex released super bugged code (considering some of the bug problems we already have had, imagine what an update would be like without testing :ohnoes: ). No , players want to know exactly when something is comeing, what it is, and they want it to be perfect. Good luck with that. What would be nice, would be to complete a few small non-critical 'token' updates to be released when a deadline is missed. So rather than go two weeks with nothing, we get some small thing to satify the craving so many players have. Unfortunatly, since an update like this would be help waiting for potentialy weeks, the updates since it creation may well introduce bugs into finished content. This means that whenever something gets held up in final testing, nothing else can go through until its done.

Yet another Jagex interview [30 august]
People calling f2p a demo forget that f2p was originaly a self contained game of its own (actualy, it might be a bit bigger than the original). The f2p game is complete in its own way. The missing components of the game where missing at its conception (for example fletching), and some of them are missing in members (the ability to create basic mage robes fro example). When they made members, they didn't take anything from the free game, they just released what now totals over 1000 distinct expansion packs. Every update is another expansion pack. F2p was considered a complete game at one point, and that does not change no matter how much bigger members gets. And I am going to side with the world record anyways and say that f2p is a complete game also. No grinding? Thats got my attention for mechscape. I don't want to leave my RS charecter behind, but I hate grinding.
