  1. Thats really clever. I don't really pk, but I know the idea behind taking out someones prayer so that you end up risking something. And its done in such a way you might be too stunned/puzzled to run away, and only at the end will you realise what is happening.
  2. I think anvils are the same. There might have been some animation changes or whatever, but the anvil itself is still the same.
  3. The esiest way to live if you can pray (but many people have managed without prayer here) is: Wear full proslyte (replace helm with neitiznot helm for 1 extra prayer if desired). Wear a Saradomin Symbol and carry the prayer book (not a good book). Equip a god book or Fally shield. Basicly you want a prayer bonus. The sara symbol adds prayer, but you must use that (as opposed to some other prayer bonus that goes in the neck spot) because it allows the prayer book to cure your poison. If you dont have all that stuff: Initiate or monk robes work. Antipoisons are good too.

There are 3 possible locations. Theres one south of tiranwn, one east of Tyras camp, and one north west of the entrance to the underground pass. I find whenever I teleport into lettya, and run south, they are always there if I go within a few minutes of ariving. Now I might be insanely lucky though too. Your best bet is to wait, or run back and forth between 2 or all 3 spots every 5 minutes. If you wan't to wait at one spot, I would suggest teh one just south of the entrance to lletya.
  5. http://tip.it/runescape/?page=new_members_P2P_guide.htm Try reading that. Also, please don't write in another color for the entirety of your post. Not everyone uses the defult colour scheme and thats hard to read on the defult one.
  6. Go to the quest calc under special calcs. Enter in all your stats. Find every row highlighted in green and in the rewards box hit show for each one. Those are the rewards for every quest you can do. After that, take the ones you can almost do, and show all those rewards too.

Ppots are easy, my kingdom provides ranarr seeds so the herbs are literaly free. I might invest in a few summer pies. I almost used them to do regicide, then I forgot various items in the pass, gave up and sold off the pies. A month or two later I realised I had 58 agility (and I was livid after the second trip through the pass, the first was good but I failed 5 times on the second trip at the end). If theres only one real agility section I can handel that. As for agility pots and my making them, the herbs cost me nothing and I look at it more as inventory reduction than anything else. I am not using any of the herbs for anything and will never sell them (wtf am I going to do with 82 marrentil? or all my tarromin and haralander), and I would really like to finish fairy tale pt 2 someday. Maybe i'll give it a go tommarow.
  8. Since I am almost always wearing between 3 and 7 million is items (soon to be higher I hope), and I can;t afford to replace them, I almost always wear a ROL. For the record, I have been saved multiple times on multiple quests (even when I just wear proslyte) because of the rings. I burn through 1 or 2 a month, and once managed 3 in one day (doing contact...with water spells...and melee :wall: ). I use a dueling ring as transport, but I never wear one (well, I did once I think). I sometimes wear the explorers ring, only when I don't want my ring of life. Otherwise my explorer 3 ring spends an awful lot of time in my backpack. Occasionaly I wear jennicas ring durign various wild trips. I can't bother to spend the money on a fremmenik ring. Seriously, I can live with 1 less max hit or 4 points less accuracy if it means not worrying about my connection if I die (I have a 5 minute grave, mostly because I used to die in the wild). If I pvp'ed, I might get a combat ring, but life works just fine on monsters and quests.
  9. The GE makes everything so easy. dont even care if I am paying a premium to use it.

Prayer - 56 Agility - 60 Combat stats (melee) all 78 except def which is 76 (HP is 78 as well) Magic - 69 I am wondering would I be completly crazy to try thos quest with a mere 60 agility? I have proslyte armour, helm of neitiznot, and a fury so I figure I have the prayer bonus to sustain protect from melee for very extended periods of time. I have the herblore level and the supplies to make many prayer pots, and I think 51 herb is enough to make agility pots as well if need be (for that I have the herbs bit not the frog legs). Basicly, I hate agility. Its one of the most painfully boring skills to strain. Now, I can wait a week or two if I need to so that I can throw 15 penguin points and whatever xp teh circus will give each week, but thats not good for more than a level or 2 in the short term of 2 weeks. But, if I am going to be failing something every time to the point I wan't to personaly hurt Jagex staff, then I will wait. Basicly, I don't wan't to rush into a whole bunch of trips to elf land (even with a crystal) if I am not going to be able to finish the quest. So, should I wait to gain a couple levels and use pots, or is 60 good enough (with or without the pots). And just how much prayer restoring am I going to be doing (ie am I going to be under melee attack of say 15 minutes without chance to restock).
  11. Use the tip.it quest calc (under special calcs). Enter all your stats and it tells you all the quests you can do and what you need to be able to do the others. It helps if you save what quests you have done on the quest list too; removes the clutter. Quests I would consider immediatly immportant are ones that open up new lands and ones that open up new transportation systems. Preist in Peril - open up mortania and a whole bunch of quests (if you count every quests that involves mortania or the ring of charos, theres alot of quests). The gnome quests like grand tree to allow access to spirit trees and gnome gliders (I haven't a clue what quests opens up what). You will wan't the fairy rings sometime in the future, thats going to be lost city>Fairy tale 1>Part of Fairy tale 2 Theres one that opens up the herblore skill, and I forget what quest. Wolf wistle - opens up summoning. I seem to remember sinclair mansion being a particularly fun quest. The fremminik trials and isles quests open up the misccelania quest and lunar diplomacy (whic grant access to managing kindom and the lunar spell book). If you wan't a good set of starter quests, I think the HAM series is good. Low reqirements. Some of teh first quests I did, though I had much higher combat stats. Most of the quests I listed are out of your legue, but keep them in mind. Someone who joined members erlier in their RuneScape carreer would be of more help. Still, use the quests calc and really do every quests you can. There is no better way to learn the ins and outs of memers than questing. And for herbs, there is an alternative to the chaos druids. The flesh crawlers on level 2 of the stringhold of security are decent herb droppers. Not as good as chaos, but I suspect less crowded much of the time.
  12. There are a few mining rocks (some in port khazard) that are still the original rocks like the one a ring of stone turns you into).
  13. I ignore skilling (yet still have all skills at 51+ ) except for cooking, fishing, and hunter which I didn't always ignore. I try to ignore combat, but it's not working, its so much better than skilling. I tried to ignore construction, but when teh penguins came, all my points suddenly wen't towards construction. Now I am trying to ignore the urge to spend another million or two redoecorating and adding onto the house (buy spending money on expensive things so I have none to spend on con  ) RC. I hate the skill. I don't have a sweet clue how I got whatever level I have (probabbly 51). I suspect tears of Guthix was involved :ohnoes: Quests I can't do. I love quests, and they are the only thing that motivate me to skill. Most of the quests I can't do involve farming, theiving, higher smithing. I am still denying the fact that farming even exists, despite having harvested a willow tree in falador for branches to make something. And I though I was being lazy when I didn't remove teh tree a year before I used it. Seriously, wandered into falador park, saw the willow tree and wen't 'wtf, this things like a year old' then I made a basket and completed a task on the fally diary. Ignoring my stockpile of herbs. They are an evil temptation to go gathering secondarys. Evil evil herbs. I don't really ignore any aspects of teh game for being to silly. For the people who deny penguins, you are basicly denying yourself a fun version of tears of guthix on steroids that can go to any skill you wan't.
  14. Try posting in the tech support section. Even though this is a RuneScape question, there are more people who know about this stuff in tech than there are here. My only thought, and this is a shot in the dark, is that the pvp servers are not in teh same geographical location and for whatever reson, your connection is being routed through a bad server. Another possiblility, and much more likely, is that the differences in game configuration on pvp are to blame. Jagex has a bad track record of making the game (or certain aspects of it) unplayable to some people after almost every update. And if tif can't help and you are a memember, post in teh tech section of teh RSOF, and if your not a member, browse the tech section in the RSOF because you might get lucky (either they have the answer in a sticky or someone had the same problem).
  15. If you can't get yourself to take a break you hvae 2 options to help you: (a) You just use some more will power. After a week of no RuneScape it should be alot easier. (B) Wait until you REALLY get bored, and just let teh quuitting take its course. Over my RuneScape carreer I have quit a few times, each time I think hmmm maybe I'll just see how RuneScape is doing and bam, i'm playing hardcore for the next week until some ammount of boredom sets in and I moderate my time. This time I found an alternative to breaks. Penguin hunting.
  16. I cant answer teh questions you asked but I have an alternative. One of the distractions and diversions is falling stars, a mining game. I would suggest joining a star hunting clan (example: hunt4stars). I suggest reading the rules of whatever clan you join on the forums (most have a thred, and you can ask in game for the thred name). The xp is not the best, but thats more due to the waiting for a star to fall than anything else. If you have an SC pick, or are teh first one to touch a star then the xp is better. I wouldn't train all the time like this if your in any kind of rush, but when you get bored this allows you to have fun and get mining exp at the same time.
  17. I don't like the idea of doing this in a slayer master format. People already complain about how repetative a slayer task can get, and this could very well be ALOT worse in that area. I do lik ehow it's tied in with other skills, and that could make this one a real achivement, but I don't know. Its a great idea but the whole slayer thing, I HATE SLAYER SO [bleep]ING MUCH
  18. I rely on two things to keep my bank organised. 1st is the fact that my most used tabs don't reqire scrolling and the less used ones are kept as small as possible and I occasionaly reorder the stuff. 2nd is my capacity to remember when something was last used. Before the tabs I couldn't organise my bank because I would lose teh temporal order and it would unorganise itself anyways. I have duplicates for alot of skilling stuff, and potions and herbs and runes (who would have 1 of each rune?). I can find almost anything on any tab simply be rembering when the last time it was used/moved was. for anything else I just search for it. There is only one skill that involves items I can't track, and that is herblore. I can never rember if I have seconds, partialy because I never do herblore except to make prayer pots and the odd anti-poison or whatnot. The items I use the most (except chisel) have no dublicates. Occasionaly I do bank purges (actualy should do one today) to remove the useless stuff (keys are the worst, most don't go on the ring but I can only bring myself to rid myself of the ones I can replace evn if I will never use them again). I have an entire tab dedicated to various books and scrolls that won't go in teh poh. for those I should probably do what I did with the ghost robes quest diologe and turn it into a movie for later viewing (I can image doing that many screenies by hand, I just show down the playback and click quickly for frame by frame playback). I just wish I could access my POH stuff from my bank. Its a royal pain to get armour from it so I never use anything I store there.
  19. They can't release a guthix sword. It would be a sword of balence (whic could mean it might becaome useless in unbalencing combat situations) and obviously guthix dosen't wan't his followers being defeated so the sword would have power such that the God Staff of Armandyl would be like a toothpick next to a serated titanium hunting knife or a firecraker cracker next to a thermonuclear warhead.
  20. As a personal preferance, I like to do it near the nature groto simply because I doubt that fungi would pay for the ppots. That said, there are places where you can bloom 3-4 things at once, but they are in the middel of nowhere. I have a spot near the groto that I use, I can get 2 fungi at once there. I don't know if its good money or not...I never checked.
  21. Aside from the fact I feel comparing WoW and RuneScape is completly pointless, no I would not play WoW. I have seen the game, and it looks neat and I think I could probably play and greatly enjoy it (especialy seeing as it would be new to me), it reminds me of everquest. I tried everquest at a friends house when I was in grade 5 or 6. I created a dwarf shaman (for some magic ability or hammer or something stupid like that). Aside from the fact I was already fairly mad after finding out I could only weild blunt weapons, was 3 feet tall and female. The first monster I fought was a freaking snake, not poisonus or anything, more like a garden snake. My 3 ft. 200-lb dwarf shaman couldn't stomp the stupid snake to death, and I died. I never touched the game again. This pretty much ruined all first person fantasy games for me for as long as I hate that game. On the other hand, RuneScape sort of reminds me of Baldurs gate even though there completly different. Baldurs gate is one of the best gamnes I have seen or played. Besides, I wouldn't abandon RuneScape for a replacement game now anyways, so even if I liked the idea of WoW just as much, I won't abanodn RuneScape and I will not make the mistake of playing to games like that at once.
  22. I think everytime I have ever said 'I was on the phone' after a break due to answering the phone, and having it starred out, at least one person reported it. Luckily, I have validation from Jagex that they thought that was as unwarrented as I did. My validation becomes visable by febuary I hope. I assume this means that not everything will be potentilay offensive anymore.
  23. This is why I hate range. I abhore the task of running out from cover to pick up my ammo only to seek shelter again so can kill the next monster. It takes time and is tedious. I am also lothe to not pick up the ammo. I'm cheep, thats how I got dragon chain when it was 8m when my daily income ammounts to MTK and maybe 70k if I mine some fallen stars. I almost prefer mage, because there is not option about picking up ammo, it is simply gone. I can't even leve iron behind, and barely would I be able to loose bronze if I used it. I don't think it's 20%, it is different for different types. Still, its like smelting iron without superheat of ROF, you always seem to loose more than 50%.

I wonder why your golves didn't protect? I am fairly certain I have died in the wild with my pennance gloves mroe than once and still recovered them. Maybe I should stop wearing them into the wild. Nice to see an honest rant, even if its not very angry, just frustrated. I hear you on the BA thing. I actualy managed to convince people once that using the cannon does not make you loose points by pointing out you get teh points for the kill, and if the things escape EVERYONE looses points. Beats verbal warefare any day. The people I can't stand are the ones who never update. I once was a healer (the sole healer) for a team on wave 8. I was pretty bad about updating then, but I was very busy keeping everyone alive, and in between trying to find time to poison things and note when the things changed. I was vbery grateful to the defender, who managed to put p with me without to much comment. I go thelp healing for wave 9, but I wen't solo again for wave 10. I don't think very many level 2 healers have ever managed to do wave 10 alone. We failed twice, but the group was very supportive. I wish I could remember who they were, they would be great to BA with again.
  25. Black marks became legacy makes on some date I don't remember. I think what happened is they had a mass banning or re worked their whole system (this is probably when differed marks were introduced). Basicly, all the marks had to be appealed by a certain date (I think that chance was given) after which all so called legacy marks became permanent and unlike differed marks, they can never be appealed and will never be removed.
