CountDown From 15K - COUNTDOWN FINISHED!!!!

Hey, Stilev and godsfearme... Sad to say, I can't know what either of you are thinking if you mess up the current number. Anywho, when I go to gank someone, I'm just doing what Blaziken is expecting of me to do. Thankfully, this results in some extreme (literally) slapstick humor for everyone to enjoy. ;) ....... Also, I figured "x" out... Answer is "50"...Everyone's gonna enjoy plugging that into their calculators. LOL! BTW, has anyone noticed these newer emotes are shaped much like the Windows Defender icon? :-s And we're now at... 12,845 ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -
Even better: http://p27.us/phpBB3/ Looks good. About all I'd do, if I were you, would be to brighten the Admin and GMod colors, darken the gray background just a little, and rig it to be serveable in as many color themes as the main website (At least 7 colors!) so that it will have the intended Tip.It feel in a very literal sense. ... (Call me crazy, but I have to say that I like the elemental background color scheme. LOL  ...) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Good thing I still have this hammer pulled out... We have another lucky winner. <*Within yet another mere moment, DVD sets the Energy Hammer into "Fly Swatter" mode, and then splats Wereta so hard with it that they fly across the room and become a pancake on the opposite wall. Wereta won't be waking up for a while either.*> ANYONE ELSE????? :shame: Now, where were we? Oh, yeah....... 12,849 ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -
The colour of the grey of the posts, and the blue need to have some texture, or lighting on them, as plain colours isn't very appealing. Meh, that's how regular tipit looks, gray and blue... Any better? http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/1174/tiptheme4ni4.jpg Could you use '.png', instead of '.jpg', to show us? JPEG really hurts quality. :boohoo: ~D. V. Devnull

In that case, could you patch in a tooltip to that and the "hide" tag, so that any user who comes to post can see the tag's usage, just in case they don't know and/or happen to forget? And also such that it is uniform with the other tags in this respect? @ Skatedog --- Your choice in vids still isn't that good... Heck, I would have at least pulled something from Unreal Tournament and/or Halo, which would have at least been non-annoying. :-w ... (LOTR, ftl...) ~D. V. Devnull

And it comes time for my first ganking under the new forum system, I see... <*DVD pulls out an insanely huge energy hammer... Within the mere moment it takes to execute his special with it, DVD plasters Ouchy_S with a combined 25 hits, causing poor Ouchy_S to be left in a crater in the ground, flatter than a small pancake. Ouchy_S won't be waking up for a while.*> Pick the right day to foul the count up, and I get downright twisted... LOL  Now... where were we? Oh, yes... 12,854 ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -
In that case... one question remains... :-k How do the new tags work? :-s ... Yeah, can't use them right without knowing exactly what their implementation is. :-w ~D. V. Devnull

"Install"? :? ... What do you mean? :-s ... Why not just build some code tags? :| <*is totally confused*> ~D. V. Devnull

I know how they could do it, sad to say... this kind of thing happened to me at least once. :wall: Described simply, there are cliques of people out there, and they don't give a [bleep] where their plus rating goes, long as it doesn't go to a person they commonly hate, even if that person which they hate is a really nice person. Further, they will then use their unused points to make that person which they hate look bad constantly, compared to other users whose posts aren't as great. This leads to situations where some of the best users are made to look like useless trolls, and leaves those users with no choice but to leave the forums, as their words and advice will go permanently unheeded. Now, I'm sure you don't want people leaving TIF, right? If you don't, please let this idea die the death it deserves, before it turns into the nightmare monster that I know it will. I can already feel it knocking, and that sends shivers down my spinal column as I shudder in a closet nearby. :? ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

(Okay, fixed a spelling error there... it was making my brain hurt!) This would be an awesome idea to implement, and would handle the needs of users who need large/small video windows. Definite Support. However, one serious issue remains... Can we wait for the current forum problems to be repaired before we do something like this??? -.- ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Suggestion for style images, forum-wide (would not affect emotes and such as that) and very much worth it for having tons of style options....... Do the style images all in ".PNG" format. It has the benefits of maintaining quality & providing transparency, and all at an extremely low file size. Such transparency (In this case, "255-level alpha"...) would allow a single set of images to be used as part of several style variations with insane (yes, this is just that good) ease of implementation. ~Mr. D. Very funny... Although, you didn't need to recolor your face. ROTFLMDCFLYAO!!! :P   (BTW, see you in 'BlogsChat'... You've been missing for way too long.) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -
Which would be the option in Board Preferences. And since everything is working how it should be on my end for those pop-ups to be executed, it's not much of a let down for me. I don't know but apparently not many others are experiencing it as an issue, or are unknown to it (lack of PM's?). Skatedog, the problem is NOT on your end either, and I'm surprised you had the to think I was saying that to you. The fault is in the skin that everyone is using ("ProSilver") on these forums. Without tweaking that skin, you'll never see pop-ups, and neither will anyone else that is on that skin who has chosen to have pop-ups. TBH, I think the Admins will not want to have to go through every page and add javascript/php code, only to just to satisfy a mere few, so you're probably stuffed on this issue. :boohoo: Uhm, no... If you're sending someone a PM from a thread, then being able to quote the post you're at easily is a good thing. TBH, to satisfy your "one-click wish" for a blank PM, we really should have a second PM button, and provide an alternate button image that would sit next to the thing you're at want of, so that the original functionality is still around for those would want it. :-k ~Mr. D. Template Dependent? No idea what you mean there, I receive no pop-ups at all when using three different browsers...? Odie mass spamming my inbox has confirmed this for me. :wall: I don't know how the problem could be across three browsers and be my end? He means skin/template ?? as in the board has to have that template installed for it to work - feel free to correct me You're a little off... What I mean is that there has to be Javascript/Php code in the skin/style that a user has chosen to use with the interface, such as to detect a need for a pop-up and launch it. (My apologies in advance if this continues to make no sense.) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Glad to be here. 8-) ... BTW, my fellow Tip.It'er, if you think some dumb hacker/jerk is going to knock me off, then you're beyond sorely mistaken... When it comes to fighting with me, and I have the power to do it somehow, a hacker/jerk will most certainly lose the battle. :ugeek: ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -
That reminds me that I should start going around in the pages of this forum for links to topics in which the final say was 'Wait till phpbb3 is here', I think there's well over 40 at the least? More work for you guys. By the way, for PM's, there is no pop up, even with the option selected in Board Preferences, or at least I receive no pop-up, nor Email for that matter... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!! :o Ease off, will you? We've got a lot to do first!!! :ugeek: Wait... what? Oh dear... Er... Uh, Skatedog... Pop-ups are "Template-Dependent", meaning that if you don't have a skin/style that supports it, then it just won't happen. Sorry for the letdown. ~D. V. Devnull

For that matter, as N_Odie knows (located at http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=5811302&f=6#p5811302 ... Their reply to my post just above ...) that I've mentioned elsewhere, we could even have styles set up with multiple CSS versions associated. This would result in multiple color layouts that are connected with one template, requiring less space to have styles, but still providing users with considerable choice. And sure, it would make a long list of options, but wouldn't that at least make the community happy? (Yes, this is a giant idea here.) ~Mr. Delta Varuna Devnull

Yeah I liked that as well. Unfortunately that is not a question I can answer, nor a problem I can solve. So we will have to wait for one of our techies to check it out.. but as that is a cosmetic issue, it will not be at the top of their list of priorities. So hang tight. Alright....... However, would it really be called "cosmetic" as opposed to being an actual "functionality issue" with the forums, seeing as the mode of entry which I mentioned was in effect well prior to the forum crash? While I hate to argue semantics, and potentially priority, I felt this needed to be asked. :-k (Just trying to make sure... :anxious: ...) ~D. V. Devnull
