  1. We don't sign petitions on WoW's future direction. We would be encouraging it in RuneScape here. The two examples are incompatible with each other.
  2. It would be impossible to quantify how many people ignore it, therefore how many people really oppose it and how many people couldn't care less. It's like the "Like for x, Share for y" thing on Facebook. It's not really a measure of public opinion or a plebiscite, it's just publicity. But to be fair, it's worked absolutely fantastically because, here we are discussing it, and this is one of the most rapid threads in recent GD history.
  3. So it's not a vote then. Thanks for proving my point. Really, does it even matter? Well if you think it didn't matter, why did you reply in the first place? :? ...We're moving very off-topic anyway. I'm not really opposed to it, I'm not even that bothered by it to be honest. It has literally no impact on me because I probably won't play it or pay for it. I won't be voting for it because I haven't got any interest in it. From a personal perspective, though, it's more like this: If I wanted to feel nostalgic about my gaming past, I can think of about a dozen other games that I'd have another go at before 2007-style RuneScape.
  4. So it's not a vote then. Thanks for proving my point.
  5. As an aside, this is about as much a "vote" as a "vote" is in modern-day China, with perhaps the minor exception of Hong Kong.
  6. Nah, I'm alright thanks. :) That 80s rock ballad collection, though...
  7. It can learn Bounce, happy training on bug/grass/fighting types with a base 10 Attack stat. :P
  8. Turned down a 2 chi mission so I could get more cherrywood. Didn't send my Assassin for a new scroll; sent her on a mission for some more cherrywood. [bleep] me right?
  9. Before I had soul split, I found it was easiest to do Glacors in short trips between Zanaris bank. Take a prayer renewal flask, a mage flask and two prayer flasks, fill the rest with food and see how far you can go, bank, restock, go again. Could usually kill about twenty per trip, depending on mistakes with the unstable glacyte. Chaotic staff vs Armadyl battlestaff has a noticeable difference in accuracy. Zammy GWD w/o soul split is definitely doable solo, but it's a lot more hassle and nowhere near as much profit after you've collected 100 shards of armadyl from glacors.
  10. Take a break. We've all seen people say the same sentiments about things that have nothing to do with RuneScape or gaming. When you give yourself an opportunity to take a step back and see the game from a distance, you'll begin to see how much it matters to you. If you find it doesn't matter at all, look for something else. I find it helps to have multiple, different gaming interests at the same time. I'm currently playing Civilization 4 and RuneScape, for example. If I cba grinding RS, I find a turn-based strategy game like Civ4 more laid back.
  11. Don't go then. Why would you go when we have so much snow and it's freezing cold and wet?
  12. Yeah, the whole thing that high school says, about how once you finish university, you get boat loads of money and a job you'll want to wake up for... lol Don't get me wrong; for a job, I love what I do, but it is still a job and you still have to work for somebody at some point.
  13. BTW I got a full set of void and all three helms today. BTW, thought you should know that. BTW... Rafael's guna get slammed so hard down our left-wing tomorrow, he won't walk for weeks.
  14. Jagex throwing the baby out with the bathwater? Well I never...
  15. I really not an expert but I would imagine you would have to declare the transactions you made from the business account effectively into your personal account for personal use. Have you tried phoning the helpline for HMRC Self-assessment?

I think I've said this before but... one way of looking at a 20% youth unemployment figure (argument's sake) is that 80% of young people are in work, education or training. Just sayin'. Maybe your difficulty is more down to lack of work experience. In which case, volunteer.
  17. Why would the rest of the world pick on the US? They'd replace one superpower with another superpower that none of us get along with particularly well: China. Strategic suicide. The rest of the world would anyway; the EU alone is bigger in terms of GDP than the whole of the US, and the strongest war economy almost always wins the war. Plus all the other non-American non-European G20 countries, and also how much of America's economic might depends on exporting its goods and spreading its corporations to the world, which would obviously end immediately, causing economic ruin... it's not even a contest. I suppose how so I can be lazy and not give a [bleep] about it for the rest of my life. Humans and primates. Everything else still lacks thumbs.
  18. Because writing short stories isn't usually based around the systematic destruction of another human being's reputation. We're not disputing you get some enjoyment from slut shaming, we're just suggesting there's better ways of getting it.
  19. It wouldn't be acceptable for me to bully someone because of how much income they earned, what job they had or any other choose-able aspect of their lives. I don't see why anyone's sexual behaviour would be an exception to that.
  20. To be fair, both mine and your total levels are over 2100; I'm on my second account and I still don't see his point. I'm sorry if I sound emotional or exacerbated, and I apologise if that's taking away from the logic of this debate but I just... I think it's a crass attitude to have towards "inferior players", I really do. "It's easier now than it was for me and it's not fair." So [bleep]ing what, what does it matter to you?
  21. Stop making skills easier, then. :-|... This old chestnut...? Really? People have been using that line since the dawn of RuneScape. Given fishing is still trained fastest using methods that were commonplace about five or six years ago... the action bar notwithstanding. Quite apart from that, and I can only assume you've directed that point towards Runespan; what do you want Jagex to do? You want them to continue developing the game in fun and captivating ways, with training methods being part of that development, but you essentially want to make it all pointless and redundant from the get-go because their XP rates don't match up to ZMI or, even better, law running. Why don't they match up? Because you don't like it otherwise. I just don't understand this elitist complex at all. Surely, if you genuinely gave a toss about new players, you'd be saying "This is a great update, one of the best updates in RuneScape history, definitely the best update in 2012... I hope they enjoy it as much as I have, and how they got to access it in the first place, I really couldn't care less about".
  22. Players bleat on about the lack of high-level content in RuneScape, Jagex eventually release a 90+ skill req D&D, and now 90 is "ridiculously easy" and "pathetic". I don't dispute you wanting to remove skilling time to 90 as a factor in PoP armour, but at some point you have to stop moving the goalposts about what constitutes "high level content".
  23. It's only creating a hell of a lot more pain in the long run, too. We've already been over the issue of putting level 80 armour at that level of difficulty to obtain. There will have to be a nerf eventually, most likely when t90+ armours get put into the game, because Nex would no longer be "end-game". If that happens, the prices of Nex armours will plummet into oblivion compared to their current values because there'd be much more people hunting her and much less demand for the armours, and a lot of people on both sides will be left very pissed off.
  24. There is something very... strange about the concept of wanting to play a game, and then, once you're playing, trying to find every method under the sun to distract your attention away from the monotonous nature of playing that game. But by now you just have to accept that's part and parcel, people have been AFKing in RuneScape for as long as I can remember, and the removal of randoms is probably indication that Jagex doesn't care any more if people AFK so long as they're not botting. On seperate worlds, I think we had a discussion not too dissimilar to the topic on this board quite recently, and the point I made was 'Where do you draw the line?'. Some people didn't like Ancients; some people didn't like Slayer items; some people don't like EoC; some people don't like free trade removal (eventually has been put back into the game, but you see my point). Are we going to have a new world every time somebody complains about an update? It's just too impractical to cater to everyone at the same time.
  25. Apparently, Suarez plays a bit of Sunday League in his spare time. It's where he practices his 'routine': [hide][/hide] Grats on half a farm cape btw.
