  1. 'contacts'? Heck, I could have told you that. That's why I bought one myself. I'm not a member of any merching clans, nor do I know anyone who is. The price has been slowly dropping less and less each time. The last time it dropped around 50k, down from 120k the previous time. 9 times out of 10, when an item does that, it'll skyrocket the next day. I bought one myself, and sure enough. Pretty soon it'll taper off, one day it'll barely rise, then it'll drop like crazy and repeat the cycle with a slightly smaller swing, taking perhaps a month or two, while all the while gradually tapering down. It happens frequently with high ticket items, and is very obvious and easy to predict.
  2. Armored zombies (hunter crossbow): 63-66k/h, 100-110k profit.
  3. How common is that? I can't remember ever seeing it, but I'm sure I have once or twice. I've done it a couple times as a joke, but that's about it...
  4. Out of curiosity, where were you when you declined a fight? If it was in a place like fight pits or wandering around a PVP world, I can see the problem. What do you mean by 'why do jagex appeal to these people'? Their money is as good as anyone's, they really aren't that much ruder then any other community 'group', and there's no way to keep them out. I happen to love PVP, and I've spent far more time training my stats with it then any other method.
  5. Can't agree with both. Your saying that they should, but that if they did they'd get an impossible amount of spam. Let's look at it this way: 6 million active players, 1 report each per week (I report far more then that!). 6 million reports a week. Assuming the time to read, look at a user's history, and type a personalized response to each abuse report is 5 minutes. 30 million minutes a week, 4 million per day. 67k hours, at 10$ an hour making for 670,000 dollars per day. 365 days a week = 244,550,000$ a year to deal with reports alone. 1 million members @ 5$ each = 5,000,000$ a month = 60,000,00$ a year. Anyone see the problem here? Now figure in customized questions that would probably take much longer to answer, require far more skilled help during the weekends\holidays (and thus more people sitting around the rest of the day), and a greater frequency of reports. Brilliant idea. Meanwhile people sit around and whine about how the greedy jagxorz dont like their customers.
  6. What are they supposed to do? Hire 5,000 people so they can respond to the 130 million players? And what's all this about 'greedy jagex'. Do you know the reason companies are formed? To make money. Jagex is interested in making money, not becoming best friends with their customers. Their customer support is actually quite good, considering the staff size vs. player base.
  7. Why do people instantly blame merchants every time an item swings in price? Hello, just like in the real world, items fluctuate. Updates and whatnot might cause them to drop until they drop below the point where few people want to get them but lots of people want to buy them - the existing sales is used up, and the price shoots up for several days until it gets higher then anyone wants to pay for and people start going to GWD. It's not t3h evil price manipulatorzz!?!!!
  8. 1050k @ 91 rc is the best 'non luck' method most of the time. If you count actual time merching, it's 5m+ per hour but spread out over a couple of days. Before the combine potion came out, making sara brews (3) into (4) could make up to 1.7m an hour when the prices were right.
  9. not the luck i think when trade limit appeared the drop rate was adjusted, because the prices for whips were going down. Thankies! your not even 83 -.- , No speculations, just your personal data. http://forum.[Please Use QuickFind Code].ws?22,23,241,57359284,goto,7 5th post down. Rank 31 slayer, 32m+ XP. Someone who actually counts and tracks every kill, not guesses at the rough numbers. 1/450 could be assumed.
  10. 60-70 that isnt much better than bandits =[ or slayer at my lvl Bandit's can't be that close. This is 20% more from salve ammy + 23% more from piety. At your level slayer would be closer to 40k XP. no piety That's what I was saying. Zombies are next to an altar, so you can pray to your heart's content.
  11. 5000 toks sounds awfully high.. are you sure it was that many? I know 900 got me from bronze-2 rune, and recently I went back to get a couple more after hearing horror stories - got two within 100 tokens. At what combat level? 1st time - ~105, 2nd time 134

  13. Get higher prayer so you can do chivalry\piety for 60-70k XP\hour at your levels.
  14. Armored zombies. Do Defender of Varrock quest.
  15. I have my doubts; I'm very efficient, and VERY carefully document everything (I've got 400+ screenshots of slayer), and I usually get within 1-2k on a task. My numbers also match up with Qeltar's, a (fairly) respected tester. The slow tasks like mith drags and the time it takes to get inbetween them just plain bog down your XP.

If I killed someone while 'making use of my time', and if I did it many times for a year, would it be OK? Obviously you can't get banned, Jagex has blocked it. A rant about Jagex fixing a rule doesn't seem too reasonable to me.

Ouch, that stinks. Been there done that. Out of curiosity, to the moderators: When does a post cross the line from 'rant' to 'spam'? Obviously venting is allowed, but how abstract can it be? ie. 'Im so mad i cant get 99 slayer today!'
  18. Bought it yesterday evening for 40,000,000 gp. I'll keep or possibly sell depending on how high it goes. If I had junk I could sell it awfully high right now.
  19. 1/435 with ROW, 1/454 without. +-25 kills.
  20. (at my levels, using +10% strength for slayer) Slayer: 55k melee XP, 50k profit per hour Zombies: 101k melee XP, 195k profit per hour. 'nuff said. Ranging is even more so. Alch whatever for magic.
  21. +10% strength > +4 strength.

Your rant has one point: you can't trade between accounts any more. It was Runescape without RWT, or no runescape. I can live with the trade update; it's much better then no runescape at all. And all you've mentioned is that it keeps you from transferring items between accounts, which is against the rules and likely to get you banned anyway.
  23. +13 prayer vs. +6 strength. Not really a contest, your prayer will drain WAY faster with bandos. That 'little extra' +10% or piety prayer can speed it up a lot. Sure it would drain faster, but I said, in places where you are constantly training. Using P pots and banking every once on a while is not idea. Sure, your prayer WOULD last longer, but in the LONG run, Bandos wins. Its like the story of the tortois and the hare. The hare is abviously "better" at first, but eventually, the turtle wins. +10% strength = 1 point every 12 seconds. 24 points per dose @ 84 prayer + 84 inital. Each prayer pot is 20 minutes of prayer, plus the initial 17 minutues. So a typical slayer invo (for me) of 15 prayer pots = over 5 hours of killing. Quite handy, considering that the 'good' camping spot (armored zombies) doesn't need this, leaving slayer as the main use. And most of my tasks take less then 5 hours, I can usually get by with 1-2 prayer pots. Point invalidated.
  24. Magic defence. I used it like crazy before I got armadyl. Black d hide body just doesn't cut it against an ancient mage.
  25. +13 prayer vs. +6 strength. Not really a contest, your prayer will drain WAY faster with bandos. That 'little extra' +10% or piety prayer can speed it up a lot. Your only loosing 3 pray on not using Veracs Skirt. Then you also get 1+ pray with Bandos top, so basically your only loosing 2 Pray bonus. Not sure if i'm missing something, but not sure where you got 13 pray, unless you want to use Verac body, but you loose 4 strength for 4 pray, and alot of def. 6+ strength is definitely > than 2 pray. Try +4 pray for verac's skirt, with +8 from proslyte body. *sigh*. +12 prayer > +6 strength when your praying +10% strength\piety.
