  1. +1. That's a brilliant idea. Would tie in with lots of other skills too (Smithing etc.) Personally, I think that we can lay off the whole 'new skill' thing for a while. There's plenty to do elsewhere, such as finish off quest storylines...
  2. Jagex needs to clean these kind of things up. I personally really don't like unenforced rules. It means that everybody is only restricted by their own fear. I would suggest that Jagex can list some legitimate sites, but I think that will cause more problems than help. I think that Jagex should enforce ANYTHING which goes against the rules. However, I believe that they had to make the sacrifice of restricting players from advertising legitimate sites just for the sake of the possible chance of misfiling a scam site as legitimate and causing serious problems. Perhaps they can work on doing that in the future, but I think that they have more important rules to be working on, notably Rule 7- Using Third Party Software, and Rule 12 - Real World Item Trading.
  3. Send me some please.. i PMed you for my address  JK Is this the first ever recipe they ever shown? I think its the second. The first one came a long time ago i think. Maybe i should try making some, i do have 99 cooking. : They made a recipe for redberry pie for the first one. Anybody gonna make this? By the way, the pumpkin crunchies sound tasty.

  5. We know, but unfortunately, in order of importance, Politics + Nukes etc. > Anything. It's a dangerous combination. I think m4tty is correct, it may not be that we may be facing a WWIII, but a Cold War II is a threat. This whole 'war' thing was okay when it involved swords and shields, but at our level of war technology, we can't let it happen.
  6. Skillers have every right to play the game how they want, within the rules. However I think that no one should be allowed to make efforts to waste Jagex's time. Make yourself obvious that you aren't an autoer. Firstly, don't wear default clothes. Secondly, wear an item or two. Thirdly (although you shouldn't be pressured to, but we all would prefer it) be social! Be communicative! Enjoy one of the main purposes of an MMORPG, Talk! I don't get why people should seclude themselves to just training, unless they are taking part in an activity which requires plenty of clicking and movement, which would be otherwise inhibited by typing, however, in this case you can't be labelled as an autoer because of the complex movement patterns which a program could not recreate. I know about the possibility of being muted, and that's a problem which I can't figure how to resolve. How can you get by being a muted level 3 skiller? :-k
  7. Wat does the number of people needed have to do ith drop prices? More importantly, why does someone always have to say "No, nub, that wood droop pircez!!11!" everytime someone makes a rant like this? Back on-topic, I think Jagex are missing out on a potentially massive gp drain; as a solution, they could put an optional npc in the room that you'd have to pay to stand on the other tile if you want to solo. Everyone would win; teams could still go together, soloers could go it alone and Jagex gets another money drain to move more gp out of circulation. Why does it have to be an NPC? Why can't you just turn it into a business opportunity? If you get it right, you may be able to set some nice prices just for standing on a platform. Why not supply rune throwaxes as well? It's an intended problem. Don't ask it to be fixed, use to for your own profit.

^^ He has it. Besides, he told you to try it through the appeal module, so try it there. You will probably get a more through analysis that way, so if you are not a rule breaker, you have a much higher chance of success.
  9. problem,no weapons on entrana :x #-o Should have thought of that. I guess that it was a design feature that you can't train on Greaters without some kind of restriction: Entrana: No weapons. Wilderness: Wilderness. Ogre Enclave: Range/Magic only (Cannot reach for close combat) Brimhaven: Wild Dogs. With this kind of pattern, its obvious that this was done on purpose and therefore unfortunately it's not going to change. Sorry!
  10. It's an interesting concept, but it would only work if set to certain conditions (automatic suck-back, restrictions to certain areas), which would then destroy the entire purpose in the first place.
  11. Aye! Judging by the (lack of) maturity of the community, you'd get far more irrelevant reports in, made by people who are angry because they were pk'ed or something like that. Actually needing to type out the name of the offending player requires a certain effort and a certain level of alphabetism, which helps counter some of the abuse. So, no support. You needed that 'certain level of alphabetism' to play and understand the game in the first place, but I do partly see your point. However this can be alleviated by placing in some well placed warnings about the implications of sending a bad report, and what is the difference between a good and a bad report, which I believe that the articles in the KB explain nicely. You know, Jagex could simply experiment with it and remove it if it doesn't work. I know it's very un-Jagex-like, but I think at this stage in the infamous battle with the bots and gold farmers, Jagex need to experiment a little, and get the legitimate players making a difference. There are not enough mods to take all of the rule breakers on. Oh, and sorry insertmynamehere, I forgot to say, I support!
  12. Oh, that was awesome. I remember other games doing that, with pretty humorous results, which completely made the guy saying it sound stupid. You got my support.
  13. ^^ I think Phil has it. Mind you, if it really was programming (I doubt it), it would add a nice tough of realism.
  14. I know it's unfortunate, but there are other places to slay greaters in peace. I think if it really did make your job 4x as hard, you may not be doing it in the right place. What about Entrana dungeon? EDIT: Sorry, that was stupid. You can't have weapons there. #-o
  15. Two brilliant ideas! I'll add them to a new section: Submitted ideas. This is great because we can introduce even more variables for Herblore. I'll quote you as the one who made the ideas, but I'll try to elaborate them too. Thanks! :) By the way, why do throwable potions have to be 'bad'? Couldn't they be another type of experimental potion? New weapons, new potions, new recipes, and the chance to have your own name on a potion... this is turning good.
  16. We don't know anything about him, so he's kinda a blank canvas as of yet. However, I would like say that as long as he makes a positive effort in making Runescape better for all of us, I say welcome aboard. :D
  17. Supporters list is now up, and I really want people to tell me their opinion so I can change and expand my idea!
  18. I know you used inverted commas, but the word 'beat' is basically undefinable in the context of an MMORPG. Heck, without a definition, the word doesn't exist. You can complete everything in the game, but beating the game involves doing absolutely everything, including future updates, and succeeding in a social aspect as well... The phrase 'beat Runescape' is, in a sense, impossible. The closest you can get to it is perhaps 'be successful in Runescape'?
  19. Generally, I've been lucky enough to get some pretty decent presents, but I'm kinda in the same boat as Death45. Mind you, there was one time... I got 4 pairs of boxer shorts, one of which sported the slogan 'No photos please'. Opened the present in front of the entire family. :wall:
  20. You realise that the whole 'kiddie slide' in the Grim Reaper's mansion was supposed to be a joke, right? Why did you take it seriously? I thought it was kinda obvious that it was humorously placed in the wrong place, since even the design (Bright purple?) was completely out of context with the whole idea of the Grim reaper. It was funny, get it? :notalk: QFT.
  21. Unfortunately, it's against the rules to state any web address. Even if the site is well known, there is a chance that it may be phishing. (A site which impersonates another site) Worse, google is an official word in the English dictionary. You tried googlin' yet?
  22. I personally voted for and liked the hood, simply because I knew that the whole flying broom thing would cause a serious let-down. It was going to be a simple emote which everyone would forget 2 days after the event. At least the hood meant you could be much more creative.
  23. Perhaps they will get an improvement some time? I mean, it's a brilliant idea on Jagex's behalf to make a weapon which you must really work for to get, but the stats don't show it.
  24. Thanks everyone for your support, and I'll make a support list. Hmm, I see your point, but it would be slightly disappointing if you found yourself stuck, named after a really useless potion. Apart from a few exceptions (Holiday items, lower skills), Jagex generally give a player the possibility of getting anything, no matter how much they mess up beforehand, and nothing is permanent. Perhaps you could pay a fee to continue your 'research'?
  25. It was a really nice event, and the hood is decent too. Jagex really have got this whole 'holiday events' thing sorted out! Also, I'm digging the main page changes. This is Jagex making a step in the right direction.
