  1. I really like that direct player-to-player trades will modify the Grand Exchange prices, it promises far more accurate prices if it's done right.
  2. Jagex, we're not idiots. Stop lying to us, and just admit that most of the development was already done. Even if they were lying, what do we care? This isn't going to change anything we experience in the game... It would be much nicer if Jagex's word could be trusted. If it really doesn't matter what Jagex says, why should we bother talking to them at all? If they're not respectful and honest with us, why should we be respectful and honest to them?

  4. RWT still happens. It's broken. Your argument is invalid. ...I've wanted to say that for a while now. EDIT: Oh, and in response to the first article, you've managed to sum up my thoughts very well. The question is, what should have Jagex done instead?
  5. Internal rounding errors are everywhere in the game. I don't think it's that much of a deal.
  6. How stupid can people get? Killing Bovimastyx does NOT REDUCE XP. It's not worth your time killing them because they don't drop anything good and don't count towards Guardian Doors, but they DON'T REDUCE XP. I don't want lies to be spread around on a forum where people go for advice.
  7. It's worth it to grab dragon bones and offer them up, but anything smaller isn't worth it. Also, why are people still spreading lies about killing Bovimastyx*? It doesn't lose you any xp. *Is that the right plural? Bovimastixes? Bovimastices?
  8. Why is it so important for you not to call it what it is? If it makes you happy then go with it. Hell, buy yourself a T-shirt, to remind yourself how YOU brought the Wilderness back. But where were you three years ago when we really needed you? Ok, but you're saying a publicity stunt is a bad thing, while I don't exactly think so. Publicity stunts aren't a bad thing, it's just that if this particular case is purely a publicity stunt, they've mistreated the democratic process. You should never assume the results of a referendum before the referendum is held. It strikes a nerve with a lot of people, me included. It happens al the time though. IE: our parlemaint made already very thorough plans to help the navo teaching police man in kunduz.. Yet it still has to be voted for! You CANT wait till after a vote often, and you'll have to prepare anyways. I'm not talking about plans, I'm talking about enacting the entire process, it's more like parliament already having hired the necessary people. The work was nearly already done and the money already spent, and then asking us if it should be done when it already has. That's what's wrong.
  9. My first initial, followed by 'Holmes' with an H that's made of two loops. Then the last bit of the 's' loops all the way round my surname, coming between the 'W' and the 'H'. A good bet is to start off with the style of one of your parents' signatures, then adapt things to make it more flowing. A good way to judge how flowing it is is to do it repeatedly and see how long it takes before you get tired of it. You also naturally eliminate the most jarring parts of it.
  10. It sounds like the cable because properly installed graphics cards normally either work perfectly fine or not at all, whereas cables normally fail intermittently when they go. Cables are cheap anyway, I've personally ended up with loads of spares in the attic.

  12. This game is unusual for an MMO in that your combat ability doesn't correlate very well with how much money you have, since it's so heavily based on non-combat skills. Your logic doesn't follow.
  13. How confident is Jagex that, even with Free Trade, the inevitable influx of bots can be dealt with to acceptable levels?
  14. Right -- that's why they're selling T-shirts for it now. There's absolutely NO publicity involved. None! Absolutely NONE. Ya know, this reminds me a LOT of "Baghdad Bob" ... I thought you were just using a figure of speech, went to the homepage later, and my jaw dropped. It's like a tourist attraction now.
  15. ...nothing? I'm not interested in buying any of the items that the GE couldn't keep track of simply because I can't afford them.
  16. Stop it. It can't be done in 15 days. You know that, and you need to face up to it and accept that Jagex can lie and deceive.
  17. I didn't even need to go to Armoured Zombies to know that they would be packed. Just wait until the first rush of people wear out their gloves, and it won't be so bad. As I said, I'm going to spend the time trying to get a Deflector. :) Got like 4 months to use them. Oh, whoops, I didn't realise that. That's a relief. I really must stop skim reading these things.

  19. Hey! Don't be hatin' on Scandinavians! :P I for one welcome our Scandinavian overlords. Damnit, I just realised that I can't use it with Void unless I have a deflector. Hopefully I should be able to grab some Defence levels. :)
  20. 2 weeks doesn't mean they've been working on it. It's not exactly a hard or time consuming thing to do, and MMG said he'd get the entire team working on it once it's official (now) You think Jagex can pull a game-changing update out of their arse in two weeks? Ok then.. I think that Jagex can because all they have to do is go back in their files, update the graphics and some of the code, fix some patches and so on and they have wildy and free trade ready. You clearly don't understand how much work goes into game development then. If you were talking about a small update, that alone would take at least 3 months. We're talking about a vast update that requires a huge rework of multiple large pieces of content. That takes at least 6 months. There's also been multiple game engine changes since, old code probably isn't even compatible any more. The moral of this story: Never take Jagex's word as gospel.
  21. Yes, we shouldn't be allowed to get these items for training after 99 and for the looks of them either . You have 4 weeks to kill it then like 3 months to use the gloves, there's no rush. yes you shouldn't.. Is it so wrong to ask something for non-maxed people one day? really everything these days is for maxed people and even the things especially said for "mid level" are getting massed by people with maxed combat.. - If you are just land 1 hit and then wait till everyone can do that! Since you ask, yes it is. Maxed people worked hard to get where they are, they shouldn't be limited by their achievements. In any case, this isn't high level content, all it's asking is that you attack the wolf once, that's all. The wolf lives long enough to do that easily, keep your hair on.
  22. Jagex told us how long it takes to develop quests from start to finish in the Dev Blogs, so we know how long their development cycle is. They must have been at least the QA stage when the first vote was released. Therefore, as if there was any doubt in the first place, the whole thing was already developed. I've changed my mind: They made an outright lie here. Apologies to TS_Stormrage.
  23. Sigh. I believe in God, and I think that the Christians teach a lot of good ideas on morals. But this is what's killing reasonable religion, it's still adhering to stupid ideas like someone being cured of terminal illnesses because of prayer. Our world doesn't give us helping hands and concessions along the way if we do certain things and pray to the right people while we're alive. Good people generally live as long as bad people. The world is magnificent already, so why do we humans need to apply our own exemptions to universal facts?
  24. I think that #1's a great solution, Entangle and all. After all, you can eliminate the elemental rune cost for that spell with a mud staff. #1 also encourages much more emergent gameplay, especially with new spells in the future.
  25. Wow! How sad... Well, it's to prevent people from getting an unfair advantage by using the moneymaking potential of a high level account to quickly obtain another high level account, and so on. More importantly, it's another way to catch people from pooling resources from multiple bots into one account, which is soon to be relevant again. I'm excited for this game now, and that's something I haven't said about this game for at least a year.
