Mint Cakes
Why would Jagex be concerned with wanting to make these items more readily available? They are perfectly happy with junk trading. They have no issue with them. The only issue they should be addressing is inflation. The question here is whether players are happy with the current economic situation, and whether players want to use junk trading. If it's our concern, it's Jagex's concern. The prices need to update more often, and items that aren't being traded on the Exchange need to start changing prices according to direct trades.

Nasa Image of Mainland UK
I reckon the weather overall, summer and winter, has become cooler here in Britain. It's not just independent events, it feels like the climate is getting colder here.

Multiple Monitors
Thing is that bugs me about Ultramon is that frankly I don't want to pay for these features, they should have been options in Windows. Wallpaper management should have been separate for each monitor (and not be so glitchy when your primary monitor isn't the leftmost one), with the option of spanning a picture across selected monitors, and there should be the option of more than one taskbar anyway! Not only that, but half-maximising with Aero Snap should work on all monitor edges, not just the outermost ones. Most annoying of all, things set as fullscreen should stay fullscreen even if they lose focus.

What is this decade called?
I believe the BBC had decided with The Noughties, and plenty of people I know have settled with that.

Is this PSU enough
Not quite, you can use two graphics cards at the same time and still not use Crossfire or SLI, I do this so I can support three monitors. Crossfire or SLI combine the processing power of multiple graphics cards, using only the ports of only one of the cards. This means you can have two cards processing the images on one monitor, with nearly twice the processing speed. You don't think i know this? Maybe you did, but using two GPUs isn't the same thing as SLI. All I'm saying.

Runescape makes my comp die...
Woah, you have nearly exactly the same specs as me, that's weird. I can run RSHD at max setting fine with it, so you should too. Righto, first thing to do is make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card and motherboard chipset.

Wherever I go...there's always someone that wants to insult or argue with me
Generally, my experience in public chat has been positive. I talk with random people and get nice conversations going. I've only ignored someone for a serious reason about 8 times. I've been playing since '06.

Dual Monitors Issue on Windows 7
Have you tried updating/reinstalling your drivers for your graphics card and your motherboard chipset?

the possibilties of tutorial island
This. I'd love to convert it into a place for Clans to have a proper base of operations, but there should be the possibility of upgrading the halls with the construction skill. That would be amazing.

Damage Inflation: An Idea for a Fix
I would prefer a whole new skill that reduces damage, not just a piece of equipment. Also known as defence. Seriously, why doesn't defence do this? Defence increases the chance that a "0" is hit. I.e. How "dodgy" your character is. Not how resilient/resistant to damage he/she is. I know, but I can't understand why Jagex didn't make defence involve reducing the damage of hits as well as increasing the chance of outright blocks. Without that, it means that as levels and weapon power increases, the likely hits diverge into an all-or-nothing state. It makes combat way too dependant on luck instead of utilising advantages.

24-Dec-2009 Christmas Wishes to the Community
According to the official Jagex calendar, it will be somewhere after july. Just let me check my own personal copy of the official Jagex calendar... Joking aside, I'm very glad they left a Merry Christmas note, it shows that the company does have a bit of class and style. Here's to 2010, I've got a feeling (yoooo hoooo) that next year's going to be bigger and better than this year, and they've been saving up the bigger updates.

Organ Selling
I do, what about people who can't buy your balls, even though they might have a mysterious condition where they need them to live? What then?

Fixing Combat(Total Combat Nerf)
The combat system needs some changes, I agree, but these aren't it. We can solve the power creep by giving defence the ability to reduce the chance of a high hit. I also want staves to have the ability to knock/stun players back efficiently and effectively (possibly automatically) if they come within melee distance, dragon spear style but better. Rangers should have a mechanic where it is possible to run away whilst ranging behind you. Those would be the changes I'd make with the engine capabilities right now.

Windows 7 not recognizing Belkin network adapter
Good job, it should work fine from now on. Windows hasn't exactly perfected the art of the driver, far from it, but at least it's getting better. Problem is that you only really notice it when it doesn't work.

Multiple Monitors
I agree. A lot of programs and operating systems have failed to see the opportunities for extra features when applied to multiple monitors, the fullscreen focus thing being the most annoying. It actually surprises me how much Microsoft has overlooked this field, considering how many of it's employees use dual/triple/quad monitor arrays.

21-Dec-09 Christmas 09 Event
Merry Christmas to you too! I'm loving the particle effects, it really helps with the atmosphere and I can imagine they'll really help over the rest of the game world.

Avatar
I saw it in 2D not too long ago, and I have to admit, it was amazing. This is the first film where I can say that the CGI characters were indistinguishable from the human characters, and that's what I call a serious breakthrough. Motion capture's the way forward. I plan on seeing it again but in 3D pretty soon. Can't wait

Particles
I think we can conclude that if we want weather now, it's going to have to be the boring graphics only type and not affect the gameplay much. In two years, I think we might be able to do something much better with it as old hardware dies out. EDIT: Or maybe we could have a simple icon for the current weather for the lowest graphics?

Window 7 increases my cpu temperature
I suppose the ultimate test here would be to compare the temperatures of Vista x64 and 7 x64 in the same build and see if there is a noticeable difference.

Particles
Cheaper and more powerful processors have always been released since the dawn of the computer age, but there will always be old computers that don't have a fancy processor or a recent graphics card. Unusually for a game, what we need to focus on is the oldest hardware that people still use regularly on a computer instead of new releases. That means considering computers that only use integrated graphics/ old graphics cards and ~2GHz processors for the lowest settings of the game. The question is, should basic weather/particle effects be compulsory for everyone?

Adding another hard drive question.
By speed do you mean by their RPM or their cache etc..? Cuz they are both 7200RPM, it's just the caviar black have 32MB cache and 2processors which makes it faster...(Read around 115MB/sec, right now my drive read is around 77.8MB/sec). so you are saying the extra cache and processor won't be used..? or did you mean by the RPM of the drive..? Read and write speed will be at the lowest speed, so yes, there's going to be some processing power that's not used. That's why it's ideal to have similar hard drives, but not necessary. Hmm...but i thought JBOD is referring to when you combine multiple drives into one large logical volume...? But i'm not planning on doing that whatsoever...They will be running as completely independent drives(Each HD is divided into multiple partitions, like how i'm using my 2 HDs atm).. So I don't think the drive speed will be effected if they are running independently...? Since they are not RAM sticks.. I'm i wrong or did you read my question wrong..? Just want to make sure. Cuz it's not making a lot sense to me atm.. Thank you for clearing thing up for me Oh, I think I've read your question wrong then. I thought you were making a single logical drive out of them. Yeah, if you're using multiple partitions then files contained within the new drive will load faster than files within the old drive, so performance will vary on the program/file you're running.

Window 7 increases my cpu temperature
Woah, me too. I upgraded from XP x32 to 7 x64, and I had to install another fan at the side of the case to compensate. Might it have something to do with more efficient multi-core processing, or the bigger bit sizes?

Organ Selling
I disagree with the concept of selling organs, because it runs a likely risk of limiting organ transplants to the rich. As far as medical care goes, capitalism doesn't work because people can't do without it, unlike most other goods and services. I reckon that we will be able to grow organs on a large scale from human cells before the transplant issue goes out of control, so it shouldn't be too bad.
