Funny that. I don't know anyone who didn't have a noticeable personality change before and after starting smoking it habitually. I'm 16 and at school, so I know a lot of these people, before and after. You can tell, seriously. It concerns me that so many people try to block out what's obvious.
  2. I wonder why this isn't on the front page. Seriously, if bugfixes are all they're going to do, they may as well be easily accessible.
  3. Just pointing this out, the combo rune levels are just begging for multiple crafting per essence according to your level like the rest of the runes. It just seems unreasonable that crafting at level 23 gives you just as many smoke runes as level 99. I'm also waiting for a way to craft some combination staves (requiring the use of the respective combination runes, of course), but the ones associated with air (smoke/dust/mist) should be in the regions of crafting 90-99, with no other way of obtaining them. That keeps them nice and expensive, as well as a fitting reward of huge profits for very high level crafters.
  4. You forgot about the binding necklace, it increases the chance of success from 50% to 100%, for 15 loads of runes. But, you make a good point. In my opinion, since all of the elemental runes can be crafted in f2p, it would be really simple just to make the whole thing f2p. It's not like members is losing anything, they didn't use it anyway.
  5. Thanks, but no thanks. For every coal that is bought by someone, that same piece of coal was sold by someone else. It's all in equilibrium. You have to put in the effort at some point. What exactly is this fixing? Why should we discourage people from trading, anyway?
  6. Oh, I'm from Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom. Not far off.

Sorry, your family member is idiotic and has no self control. Again, THAT SINGLE PERSON'S FAULT. NOT marijuana. Seriously, keep these posts coming...I love proving you wrong. Is marijuana for everyone? No. Should those people come to self-realization about what they are doing should a problem arise? Yea. If not, their fault, too bad so sad. I realise that it is the combination of marijuana and people being idiots that causes serious problems, it is the case with the vast majority of things that people do. You're going to have to tackle one or the other to prevent this, but I'm afraid that you just can't stop people from being idiots no matter how you do it, there are too many of them. In an ideal world, where everyone is sensible and yet has a sense of enjoyment, go ahead. However, this world is far from ideal.
  8. That was a good read, well done! =D> I understand now where Jagex has gone wrong with the Bandos Agility Course now, they've completely forgotten about the failure rates and the consequences of failing any obstacle (you have to start again from scratch) when comparing with the Ape Atoll course (where most failures only set you back a few obstacles, if any). You'd think after seeing the calculation on how many roosters it would take to kill TzTok-Jad, they'd be capable of working out the xp rates for agility courses, with all factors taken into account. Some of them seem to have the mathematical ability of a Mountain Troll at times. :|
  9. It is a bit, but seriously, who cares? I enjoy it, and that's the most important thing when it comes to picking entertainment.
  10. Good idea, now you're thinking like a true merchant, but you'll have to be quick off the mark.
  11. Yeah. It would've been nice if we had to collect the artifacts from a few residents across the city. If we were helping the Dorgeshuun race preserve their history, a very solemn task, it would've been nice to have a more meaningful experience doing it. '-' Yeah, that could have been better, and would have also been a chance to learn just that bit more about the individuals. Instead, we got a box with Guthix-knows-what inside, sealed it, then passed it over to be buried. But still, can't complain. It was in my opinion one of the best plots I've seen so far.
  12. The only thing it's good for is a bandos type item that isn't expensive and has some stats for KC at the GWD, and you don't want to/can't use the Bandos pool. For this, the GE price is reasonable, and players will eventually pay for this amount. Because it's a new item, which the GE system frankly can't handle, players have a huge demand and a low supply so they'll pay a lot more for it. This is the case with most, if not all, new items. It's called HYPE.

    No, because someone in my family screwed up his life (and his mental health) because of marijuana. You can't tell who will suffer from it's negative effects and who won't until it's already happened. Too much risk, not enough reward. Sorry. =;
  14. I suspect you're right, calling it an 'agility course' implies that it just does what all agility courses do: give agility xp. I might try this one as soon as I hit 60 ranged, it will probably help for a few levels.
  15. I have to agree. For the vast majority of cases, clues are not worth your time, no matter how fast you do them or how skilled you are at completing the trickier parts. It's only if you have god-like luck that they are. In my opinion, clue scrolls should be a rarer drop, and the reward should have a minimum value proportional to the overall difficulty of the trail. I'm all for some insanely rare and valuable drops to mix it up, but it's the rewards that us average joes get should at least be worth our time.
  16. And I thought 'What's your social class?' was a personal question. Oh well. There's only a bit of diabetes, which so far I've never had, but nothing else.
  17. This is a good point. That's probably the reason why Zanik and Zanik alone was marked by Bandos; she would become probably the best fighter of the cave goblin race. It really was her destiny, but she broke free from that when she took that amulet off.
  18. By the way, if you're a quest nut like me, do this one. It's one of the best storylines I've seen so far. To people who complain about the reward: Why the hell don't you just enjoy the game for once? If you don't like the rewards and can't appreciate quests, you deserve to not do it. :x
  19. :twss: I think it's either whoever was there first or it's random. Why does it matter anyway?
  20. Aliens? Yes. The Universe is so big it seems implausible that life only formed on one planet. If it's possible to form at all, there's no logical reason why would it be impossible to form elsewhere. Ghosts? No strong opinion. I like to be scientific here, and I've had no reliable pointers in either direction. However, I think that even if something similar to our current concept of ghosts/spirits existed, they probably can't interact with us sufficiently for it to matter very much. Anything else? No. I don't think I have to argue here, it's too implausible. By the way, there will be some things which will be unexplained to us. So why make wild theories about dead people from the past coming to haunt us in a tangible yet somehow non-solid state because a door creaked? I mean, come on.

I'd explain fully about chavs, but Pyro has already done it in far better terms than I could have. They are simply put, the scum of society, and there are way too many of them. By the way, female chavs aren't unusual.
  22. It's almost certain that Jesus did exist, putting the whole 'Son of God' stuff aside. I can't imagine any possibility where such a major and detailed historical text sprang from an imaginary character. There's a lot of stuff about this guy. He would have had a deep tan, to the point of dark brown skin, as was typical of the local people at that time, but representations will obviously vary. A good example I'd like to draw up here is that in Buddhism in various cultures, the Buddha is often depicted as having characteristics of the local people where the statue/image is made. So for example, in Western cultures, the Buddha often has a Caucasian face shape. In Asian cultures, it's often an Asian face shape, and so on. It's the same with Christianity and Jesus.
  23. Oh yeah, State of Play was great, I don't know why they decided to abandon them so suddenly. It would be nice if it was a permanent fixture on the front page instead of a regular announcement. Deadlines don't need to be mentioned, they don't even need to exist, but it would be nice to know Jagex's progress.
  24. Bah, the Canadian government is weak. Having it officially illegal and yet not doing anything about it is the worst of all the possible stances regarding drugs.
  25. It's really well written, I'm glad the Lores and Histories are still being done every so often.
