  1. If you did get the potions supplied, the advantage would cancel and would be lost. I don't think we should reduce the demand for potions even more, the Herblore market is damaged enough. To be honest, the skill needs a revamp, there's so many ideas that are possible.
  2. The home teleport? I wasn't aware that many people were opposed to it. That have been updates which changed how the majority of players moved around the maps to a far greater extent than the home teleport ever did. You can't escape combat with it, you can't use it repeatedly because it's only one cast per 30 minutes. Anyway, there was a free teleport to Lumbridge beforehand. Bank your items, throw yourself into the nearest monster that can kill you reasonably quickly, then go to the nearest bank and get your items again. Simples.
  3. Oh boy, I've done this a lot. It's why my attack level is freakishly high compared to my strength and defence level. I think it's been a long time since I intentionally trained attack.
  4. A kilogram is a physical object too. You could hold it in your hands, but i'm sure a bunch of scientists and French officials would stop you first :) What, really? I thought it was based on a litre (a.k.a. cubic decimetre) of pure water. Ah wait, you're right, apparently it's a slab of platinum-iridium alloy, in a vault in France.
  5. No idea. The best possible scenario would be that we would have colonised another planet/moon before agriculture and resources hit critical. If we can work out how to control our climate more directly and intentionally, it might be possible to make land which previously would have been impossible to farm into fertile land. Ideally, we will run entirely on Hydrogen Cells produced from electrolysis of water, and get the electricity required from nuclear power or renewable resources like wind, hydro- and solar. At the moment, this is our best bet in terms of industry, transport and climate. However, if population controls are required before interplanetary colonisation is possible, expect a one child per family law.
  6. As said before, popular tasks will become too overcrowded. The Slayer system is designed in a way so people are spread out over the possible tasks and overcrowding is kept at a minimum. Even then, overcrowding occasionally happens, so imagine what this update would do. I reckon the ability to permanently remove up to four tasks you don't like is already pushing it, anyway.
  7. You could have just put your mouse over the link and seen it was a youtube link at the bottom left of your screen. Not on all browsers Then get a better browser. Eg Firefox ;) I disable the address bar on all of my browsers including firefox. I want the biggest viewing screen I can have :P I remember when I signed up that I had entered an email, two years ago I spent a few hours searching through the website for a place to change my old email just to find out that they had got rid of that option for some reason. >_< Rather odd that they got rid of the email part around the time of the autoer-influx. That's not a very good idea. You should always have the address bar easily viewable before you click a link that you're not 100% confident about. I think I'll do this, any way to make my account more secure is always welcome.
  8. I don't think it's possible for anyone at any point to prevent these scam sites from claiming users other than more warnings. Even then, there is always someone who thinks that it always happens to someone else.
  9. I don't think that's going to happen with this quest. If I was a quest designer, and was given a dragon pick to throw in as a reward, I would put it in the last quest of the series. At least this DD had some information, but it's not like you could follow the first entry about this quest and get worse.
  10. It's almost certain that dry worlds do not exist, but it's going to be very hard to prove this. After all, it is rare for example to get a hilt drop in a single given trip, let alone two. People see this and assume that a mechanism is in place that prevents it. It's human nature, we like to think that there's patterns and causes to everything. If a large part of your team wants to switch, it's best to do it instead of arguing with them and potentially losing them and not getting any kills at all!
  11. Us Brits use a mixture of both, with the younger generations being more likely to be familiar with metric and less familiar with imperial. I reckon that in most cases the metric system works better, and we should learn to use them more, but imperial provides some useful units that are difficult to measure otherwise. For example, a pint is a good amount of beer, but can be held in a strong glass that you can easily hold in your hand. But I think that it would be better to put in kilograms and kilometers, because it's makes more sense.
  12. ...what? Are you drunk? I think you need a lie down...
  13. Ahh, this is something that I've wanted for a long time. Before the 'Bank everything that you're wearing' button came out, I thought it was some kind of technical limitation (maybe it was back then). It clearly isn't now, so it's a great idea!
  14. Sigh. I was kinda expecting something a bit more... enjoyable. The emote was the best thing to come out of it, but there were so many obvious things from that event which could have been a great reward. Twice they dangled an Easter Bunny suit in front of us, an awesome idea for a reward, and then we got a giant carrot that doesn't look like a carrot and does the same thing as a rubber chicken. Come on!
  15. Grats to everyone for getting this put into the game! \ The food suggestion might happen alongside with Summoning and Prayer, but the point of these suggestions isn't getting an advantage in combat, although it might provide an incredibly small one, but ease of use. The better and more streamlined the interface, the better the game. I love you, will. I love you too. :D
  16. Gmail's been in beta for five years. I'm amazed that no one has asked Mod MMG what the plans are for moving the GE out of beta. The database has been in beta for what, a year and a half or so? That's a really good idea.
  17. Not entirely, because not everyone here still plays the game. A lot of people have retired and are still very active TIFers, if not for the game, then for the community. OT: Welcome back Koo, you'll find there's a lot of things that have changed in the game since you last played it, the most notable will be the High Detail graphics. Making a new account is a good idea, because the best possible experience you can have in the game lies in the lower levels. And keep in touch here as well! Tip.It is here to make your gaming experience better! :)

They have always been called just 'Cabbage', even the ones from Draynor Manor. They're similar, and even look the same, but they aren't. No bug here. *ring bell* Next!
  19. This is even better than the first edition. Keep up the good work!
  20. Meh, it's a self balancing minigame. The apparently low rewards hasn't stopped the evil tree clans from doing it though.
  21. For me, Cooking, alongside with Fishing, is just the action of 'getting food'. I see the levels and experience as a byproduct, because I am yet to come across something in which I have to regularly use a food better than swordfish, and I'm far from thinking that getting a 99 is within my reach at the moment. Besides, if I want a 99, I'll go with a harder skill like Hunter. :geek: To answer the title: Neither. It's just a necessity for other activities, particularly combat.

Uhh... ok. :| I have never used a chapstick for years, although I know plenty of people who do. I've never had a problem with my lips. These OT topics keep on getting weirder...
  23. I did a thread on something that involved this a long time ago. I'll see if I have the picture: It's not a skillcape, but you get the idea.
  24. Interesting #4. It would be a good way to integrate agility into the minigame better, and yet won't change the game too much. Okay, I support! :D
  25. This is much better than the previous excuse for a DD. Now we actually have some proper information. Hopefully they will remain this frequent and will become longer and more detailed as the updates advance through the system.
