At school I dealt with "black-market goods" which primarily consisted of cigarettes, dvd's, cd's and the occasional test results. dvd's and cd's was the big money maker. $5 per disc.. I was selling 50 per week sometimes. Then the "public knowledge" of apps like Napster happened and it dried up very quickly. At which point I basically stopped dealing unless people really needed something they couldn't find or couldn't convert, etc on their own. I still got a good couple of years out of it :) Now I make legitimate money - although I have been invited to some private poker games where the winnings could be over 30k .. tempting :)

Yea. I was setting the text opacity in the css but it wasn't being applied. So I may have to check I did it right, or disable the child inheritance.. either way it isn't my biggest concern for the time being - thanks anyways Paw_Claw :)

Hey everyone. I've been attempting to make a div-based calendar for work but so far it has been failing all over the place. I haven't had to use HTML/CSS for a long time so I'm rusty as hell. If anyone has some good sources (don't link me to 960 please) it would be appreciated. Basically I have a main background image that is set to .6 opacity, then I want to have overlaying tiles for the dates which are mostly transparent, and then text in those which are solid. So far all the resources I have found dealing with the opacity issue haven't worked as expected (the text is inheriting the opacity of the parent). And the layout is dying on me so nothing wants to float/clear correctly. From memory they aren't that much different to a 3 column page with a header+footer but how it is being implemented doesn't seem to be working, so there might me something I'm missing with dealing with multiple div clearing and float. Wrap each row of div elements in another div maybes? Seems like excess code but I'm starting to think it will be easier. Without find the other thread I'm pretty sure I locked it to prevent trash from being posted for the sake of "lulz" - the entire thread gave me a vibe of inducing nothing but spam given the nature of "Chatroulette" and I'm going to do the same thing again right here. The only thing I can't max legitimately is Luck. I had to be doing 5/5/1 from the start to pull that off since I only started with 50 Luck.. no drama tho. I rarely level Luck past the initial value and the loot is just fine at 20+ :)

Mega-bump... I did something I haven't done in a long-[wagon] time.. since my very first character actually. And went with marksman as my primary killing method. I really need to get the main quest line under way tho so I can get Hatreds Soul. 24 damage for a meager 12 weight... excellent. I have also employed efficient leveling for this character also. I wasn't using +5+5+1 since the start.. since I wanted to max my Endurance, Strength and Agility asap. So far so good.

I have to admit, the youtube HTML5 player is rather clean. The resize option I like a lot better than Full Screen mode too.

This'll be a stupid question but is your TOTAL (not just the item sub-total but final balance w/ shipping) over $30?

If you're saving as XML, use XSLT to transfer the xml document into a XHTML doc.

CCCP + VLC + DviX = playing almost anything I come across Never had to use the k-lite codec pack but it seems useful. It wouldn't surprise me if it actually fixed some mystery codec problems I have had for work...

Yea.. Fight fire with fire. Since you pay for the internet. Move the router into your room, and disable all mac addresses but your own from connecting to it. If there's more than you two in the house.. that should prove to be interesting :) Also start turning off appliances you don't use while others (especially your dad) are using them citing that you are "keeping your half of the electricity bill down". Yes I'm a bastard about it. But if he wont listen to reason.. at least do the router restriction.

I was under the impression they discuss complete sexual intercourse in "sex ed" type lessons in primary grades (like 6/7/8 or w/e. And I doubt most of them will be able to grasp the full concept of what they read anyways. It takes a very specific type of person to read a dictionary for the hell of it. I know I only reference one when I need to confirm a word choice.. and even then I use the online ones.. so.. Granted the books ended up okay.. but it never should have been an issue in the first place :-\

Is this student also being charged for child pornography? Plenty of cases out there, even some convictions, where a student has done it and been hit with child porn charges... I mean.. if you want to do it.. sure.. do it. Just realize there is a good chance that the phone owner is probably not going to be the only one who sees the image(s). And if you're legally a minor.. have to watch out for that child pornography charge if it goes south and the police find out about it, etc. Edit: Just for the record, never used my phone for .. graphic images, just my digital camera. And I willingly picture swap with other like-minded adults. Plenty of us are relatively good friends and know each other well. And when it comes to dealing with people you don't know.. errr.. be cautious... you're dealing with digital media.. as soon as you give it to someone else, you can't control where it ends up.

Looks pretty good so far. What sort of storage method are you looking at using for the end result? I know plenty of people don't stray from their original method.. just wondering if you'd do something like XML that they can fire up in a reader/portable device And, auto-save? Also, are you sticking with like *blue* *green* etc for font.. or ever plan to support hex code instead (both full and short - eg 00ff00 v 0f0)?

SQL; PHP; XHTML; XML; CSS Javascript, ajax, etc. Not so much. Although I really need to start learning them again to build my portfolio... I've used C, C++, Objective C and C#.. and Java.. I just don't application programming so I could never really get into it much.

Rudd apologized to the 'Stolen Generation' shortly after taking office. Plenty of backlash about that.. and why he shouldn't have done it, rather the representative who was in power at the time should have, etc. Whatever the point.. can't apologize for something your predecessor did. By all means go "we are sorry this happened to do" but at no point should it be said "we are sorry we [government] did this" as you're basically taking the blame for something that happened x years in the past by a difference group of people. If anything, they should be dragged out and made to apologize, not have the current persons forced, haggled or whatever else, into making an apology which is.. rather pointless. Edit: Oh.. and in the event that the original perp is now dead.. sucks to be the victim, but you aren't going to be getting a true apology from anyone who is bullied into.
