  1. Might I ask why you bother posting here at all and bashing every single thing that goes on in the Clan section if "no one posts here" ? Honestly , its rather tiring , if you find it oh so inactive and boring here , please feel free to stop visiting this section of the community. Others are trying hard to improve it.....
  2. The Administrative Team would like to welcome the following users who have recently joined our ranks as Forum Moderators.. Laikrob Whitestrike tripsis Pure_MageUK woopidoo2 turtlefemm We're sure they will do their best to keep this community clean for all to enjoy :) We are always looking for suitable users to invite to the staff so keep a look out for further news!
  3. Unfortunately, this isn't going to be possible , we already host enough free content as it is , and giving users access to upload files to a server that is already under constant attempts to attack (all unsuccessful , you morons can give up now) just isn't something we are prepared to do. Sorry
  4. I wear my 99 smithing or 99 magic cape at all times , bleh to the fire cape , too easy :P even more so since jagex let you "pause" the minigame :?
  5. As much as I don't give a turd less about it , Ive done it anyways , even added their goofy little tracker thing in the footer for ya :P
  6. Indeed , a simple topic edit would suffice :P Will pass the info along and oops to all the little bugs lately , bad copy and pastes by me :P
  7. If you cant off Earpy a solution , or some sort of helpful advice, stop posting your conversations here, use private messages , irc , some other form of communication. All replies that were useless and off-topic have been removed.
  8. Using the "whos online" section of any forum is not an accurate gauge of traffic , remember also that we are running the oldest and largest fansite , and I can guarantee that other fansites do not generate as much traffic to their site. The Archive of Wisdom was an idea started by a community member over a year ago, just because it wasnt its own forum , does not mean its a "new" idea , we had it stickied for quite a long time. Player made guides was the result of tons of users thinking they could post some random junk and called it "Wisdom". Call it a followup to AoW if you will. All user suggestions , we listen and respond to what our users want. If you had even a vague clue as to how many problem users and posts we have to deal with on a day to day basis posting bad links , you would understand why these temporary changes are often implemented. It doesnt matter how many warnings we give , how many tutorials we write, users are ALWAYS going to blame their own misfortunes on the site where they clicked the link. Again , if you had any idea how many reports we get daily, you might understand this a bit better. And as for the "Stealing ideas" , thats just plain ludicrous , Tip.It had the first fansite AND forum for Runescape, does that mean that all other sites stole our idea? Not really. How about our annual slave auction ? Did we cry when RSC held theirs in the past few weeks? I sure didn't , I wish them luck and hope their party is a success. Do you also run around to the other fansites posting accusations as to why they have similar features and functions as we have always had? Why you insist on turning it into a huge competition between us, I'll never know . I certainly don't perceive them as "the enemy". I've even worked with a few of the admins over there to resolve issues that affected both sites.
  9. Posting a follow up , or reposting a topic that has been locked by a moderator is not one of the steps towards making a good name for yourself.
  10. Re-installed subTrail
  11. Not really , the highscores pages queries a database to retrieve its information , you could sort it by any criteria you wanted (well they could :P) I never did understand why Jagex doesnt have options to sort the list ASCending , DESCending , By name, By rank , By exp , by level etc.. Guess they just dont feel its necessary :?
  12. Our Community forums have been moved to a new server as of this morning, as the transition seems to have gone smoothly , we still expect a few small outages as configuration changes are made and settings are fine tuned. Sorry for any inconvience this may cause but any downtime should be minimal (if at all). Albosky Tip.it Technical/Server Administrator
  13. With the release of the newest skill to Runescape , we have made a change to the Runescape News forum here on Tip.it . Registered users now have the ability to reply to posts made in this forum as a central place for all to discuss these new updates. Enjoy :)
  14. The main question would be , do you have the hardware to run a 64-bit operating system and software. Its not a simple case of installing Windows and off you go .
  15. using what language ? ASP? PHP? VB.NET ? etc etc :P
  16. You'd have to be a bit more specific , literally hundreds of Barrows logs have been posted. If you meant the 10,000 kill count , search for posts by RAHK as the author.
  17. SOMOAS!!! :D The name was changed to Caramel Delights YEARS ago :P 4 neices , 3 of which are girl scouts and have to be fair so they sell an even amount , so I always buy 5 boxes of caramel Delights, 5 boxes of Thin Mints and 5 boxes of Peanut Butter Patties
  18. Read a news article at work about "smarter then the average gamer". People sitting in those lines overnight to get a PS3 , then selling their spot in line for around $2000. Good stuff  If Sony allowed preorders like with the ps2 so many years ago , I would have done the same thing I did then , buy 10 on my credit card , ebay them all, pay off the credit card and bank the other half of the money :)
  19. Gamespot has a few decent videos from E3and luckily I work part time in retail and just went through the whole PS3 craze with the nerds sleeping outside to get their hands on one (52 people sleeping on a sidewalk for 5 playstations and 5 rainchecks...pathetic) heres the image Sony is using in their release guide. I dont think theres a video of this scene though so who knows you may be right lol
  20. Being the owner of an HDTV , with the cable service to actually use it , I'd have to say yes , I do care . Not just because I have it , but there is a truly noticeable difference, when it was first hooked up , I was watching a Red Sox game and switching between the normal channel it was on and the HD version of the channel , theres a HUGE difference. I then did the same for the movie Finding Nemo , all i can say is like whoa ... you have not experienced HDTV until you watch a digitally animated movie on it. And after seeing previews of Grand Turismo HD for the PS3 , just wow , you couldn't even tell the car or the mountains in the picture were part of a game. and correct , a PS2 cannot output HD resolutions , if it looked better , it was probably just due to the TV itself having a nice picture
  21. This weeks article was not written by The Editor, it was a guest piece by Caisadi , didn't you read the news and the article? Therefore those stats will not help in the quest to unravel the mystery :)
  22. This is actually normal , sort of Windows Media Player introduced this feature when playing video, if you are watching a movie and dont move your mouse , the cursor disappears so it doesn't get in the view of the video . Alot of mouse drivers also implemented this feature as an option and WindowsXP itself has the option to hide the cursor when typing. Check out the settings in Control Panel > Mouse you may find that feature is selected somewhere :)
  23. you're right , it was an oversight and has been fixed :)
  24. Back when those CPU's were common , most system BIOS could not recognize partitions larger then 2.1GB due to the way the standard FAT partition worked. Most harddrive manufacturers were including a disk with a set of tools that allowed a secondary loader to enabled their use when drives started to become larger (my first 6.4GB was absolutely ENORMOUS lol). One of the most common of these tools disks was "Data Lifegaurd Tools" by Western Digital, but as I recall , Maxtor and others all had their own variation.
