Defender Of Varrock - 29th September 2008
Don't think he'll play a role in that quest though: the last sentence of the quest was something like: "It will be a long, long time till they have an army and we hear about them again!" That's what the knight said. Zamorageul's minion stated "Master, there is not much time left before the ritual." "Which is why we must seize the moment and take Varrock now" or something along those lines. The knight said "I hope it will be a long time"

Thompson Disbared!
Before you guys get all uppity and "Ding Dong the Witch is dead!" (stolen from CAD news) just realize that Thompson is just an absessed pimple on the nose of the anti-video game movement. He's just a very vocal proponent who got himself in trouble. The real threat to your precious games comes from people like Joe Biden who use legal and respectable means to put restrictions on films and games. So the Witch is not dead, just the pimple on her nose.

Iraq Aid Money Wasted or Stolen
You guys need to read the damn article. It's US money being stolen and misappropriated by Iraqis. It's nothing new. Taxpayers money has been wasted by stuff like this on the UN's behalf for 60 years. The good thing is that both candidates in the race are set on stopping the gravy train and getting Iraq to pay back a bit of that money with their 78 billion dollar surplus.

Starting to Smoke
Physical excercise is a lot more relieving for stress than cancer sticks. I usually do hard bicycle riding or boxing when I am stressed out.

Catholic Church says Evolutionism is Compatible with Bible.
Because likewise there are very few people I can have discussions with, like you and Bluelancer, Warrior, etc. Most people just rush in the topic and bash, or start reading off the standard list of "terrible Bible quotes" from certain anti-Christian websites without any real views of their own. Religious topics basically just turn into 90 page threads of nothing.

Catholic Church says Evolutionism is Compatible with Bible.
Ignoring all the seemless arguing... Thanks Bluelancer for your kind words. Just as debates about science or math are best done when the people doing the arguing know what they are talking about, arguments about religion are best done when people have actually read the Bible, Quran, or Torah at least once through. However, that's not going to happen here so I am off to my exile from religious topics just like you are.

Sarah Palin's Email Hacked. McCain camp to investigate.
Ugh, long post deleted. Well there, he is getting better at computers. So much crap getting thrown around that I think that many of us have been getting taken in by something or another.

Sarah Palin's Email Hacked. McCain camp to investigate.
Have bamboo chutes jammed into your fingernails and your fingers broken repeatedly for years and see how well you can type. He understands how a computer works, he just can't physically use a computer. As in his hands can not type. He can't use a typewriter for that same reason. Am I missing something? What does bamboo chutes and fingers broken have to do with McCain? Those would be the gifts that the North Vietnamese gave him when he was a guest at the Hanoi Hilton. People are quick to say "McCain can't use a computer." And they are right, because torture has caused him to be unable to use his hands to type or manipulate a mouse. He has email, he just has someone to retrieve and print it for him to read. And likewise he has to dictate replies back.

Sarah Palin's Email Hacked. McCain camp to investigate.
My mom uses hotmail. These are not government emails, persay. These are informal messages from family, friends, and coworkers. Her public email address is just that. Someone with no life went out of their way to guess the password which like most Americans was very easy. My personal emails are obscenely easy. My professional email password is incredibly difficult. Have bamboo chutes jammed into your fingernails and your fingers broken repeatedly for years and see how well you can type. He understands how a computer works, he just can't physically use a computer. As in his hands can not type. He can't use a typewriter for that same reason.

Islam Ads on Buses
The IRA itself might not be, but it has many militant branches who are eager to kill in the name of the IRA.
-
Islam Ads on Buses
I guess I assumed they were Christians because they waved all the crosses and whatnot. But there's no denying that a majority of them are Christians right? The cross it not just a symbol of Christianity. They use the cross to represent the ancient crucifix used to kill. Remember that Christ was not the first to die on a cross. The burning cross, if I remember my Birth of a Nation, represents cleansing through death. Most Klan members are going to be random Protestant (non-practicing) or atheist/agnostic. Or maybe they have their own little personal messed up religion. Remember that they persecute Catholics and are chastised by most churches.
-
Islam Ads on Buses
The Klan is not religious. They do hate people for religious reasons but they are not a religious group. They basically hate anyone who is not germanic. They actually refuse to endorse most Protestant denominations because those groups publically chastise them for being evil. Basically being in the Klan is saying "I hate everybody and everything."

Bailout, American economy, and failing businesses
Just a note that bailouts will not affect taxpayers.

Sarah Palin
That very "entanglement of alliances" kept us out of WW3. Russia was as justified for marching into South Ossetia as Hitler was for marching into Poland. The same damned reason, actually. Not to mention directly lying to the UN several times in regards to troop pullouts. Russia's inroads into Georgia were nothing but an attempt at belligerence.

Your guide to posting in Off-Topic!
I think we should add religion to that list, as that gets abused a lot around here.

Sarah Palin
It isn't restricted to just this one small forum. It's nearly all of them. As for your argument, I am not particularly ready to give over my rights to the government. The government is, however, within it's bounds to put limitations on businesses to prevent them from screwing people over. But not to give orders to them.

Ginger: Did I say I was willingly voting for McCain? I do believe I stated that I believe him to be the lesser of two evils. The Republican Party is having issues similar to the Democratic Party with conflicting ideologies inside the party. I remember reading somewhere that Obama was Muslim. What you said is a half truth. McCain expects to pull US troops out as soon as possible. However, he plans on leaving them there as long as possible to ensure a smooth transition. In other words, he is not going to immediately pull them out on his first day. Neither is Obama. It's worth mentioning that Obama and McCain agree completely as far as troop pullouts go.
-
Sarah Palin
I kind of agree that 2004's case is the same as today. Although I consider McCain to be the lesser of the two evils :P. I don't want the federal government to take the power that Obama is promising. Instead, the Fed should be telling the states to exercise their rights more in order to serve the people. Power to the people, not the government.

Sarah Palin
That last statistic is: a) bullcrap B) irrelevant as IQ is no judge whatsoever of intelligence And as a conservative Christian, I take offense to the statement. Republicans are the party of Conservatives, who believe that the government should not force itself upon the will of the people. The Candidate and his beliefs are merely reflections of voters. And considering that McCain still has so much more support shows that at least half the country likes him. And since you are European, I will give you the speech I usually give. Your definitions of conservative and liberal are opposite to what the US considers. Our conservatives (at least excluding Bush) include the ideologies of Locke and Montesque, in that power should belong to the people, like the liberal Europeans of the French Revolution and American Revolution. We are not like your conservatives who want power under consolidation. And I am still pretty pissed about that IQ statement. That was just...ignorant.

Sarah Palin
I don't get why people consider McCain to be Bush 2.0? He might have some similar personal beliefs, but his style of government is going to be radically different. He is going to remove us from Iraq, which is what the international community wants. He will not pursue religious based legislation like Bush. He's just going to govern this country with no hooks or catches. Obama is doing somewhat of the same. No matter who gets elected, things are going to get better. I still will write in Ronald Reagan's ghost on my ballot.

Lovebugs and Cicadas
Which one? :P I presume Fiesta Texas since you are in San Antonio. Too bad my doctor does not allow me to ride roller coasters. Nasty heart conditions. Syal: I live in a very historic neighborhood. I love living here in Nacogdoches.

Lovebugs and Cicadas
Come over to the Nacogdoches/Lufkin/Houston swampland and you will find every kind of bug :P.

Lovebugs and Cicadas
Oh, that's what those things are. I'd never seen them before I moved to Southeast Texas and they are very annoying. They are everywhere.
