16M what to spend it on or save? Edit-DFS good to buy?
Tbh, While the SGS is an amazing weapon, now days there are many other viable options for healing (From Summoning to the Enhanced Excalibur). If it were me, I would invest in at least getting 68 summoning first. The healing effects of a bunyip surpass the healing effects of a SGS. Bunyip = 8hp / minute * 5 minutes = 40 HP SGS = 10+ HP per spec * 2 specials per 5 minutes = 20+ HP On average a bunyip will heal more than a SGS will. So really if your into slayer, I would work on spending a little bit of cash and getting a bunyip as a first priority. As for armor, the DFS has its uses, but its more for PvP rather than PvM (in most cases). But if you are hitting a monster with low defense and don't need accuracy, DFS > defender. If you have a high attack level, I would go with a DFS, otherwise stick with a defender. If you don't have a GS already, I would buy a BGS or ZGS simply to see what its like. I mean in all honesty, they are slow and not that great for training, especially if your stats are below 90. And as stated above, if you were only going to use the SGS for healing, well a bunyip is more useful for that, and the only difference between any GS is its special. And it takes 2.5 minutes for the special bar to recharge 50%, so the majority of the GS use will be without its special attack. Its up to you, but I think a bunyip + BGS (OR Whip + DFS/Defender) would give you almost the same effect as a SGS but save you a bunch of cash. But I would make sure you have Bandos Top + Bottom before you invest in a DFS or GS. That is just my opinion however.

Combat Spells
If your planning on training mage and not doing lobsters, I would recommend staying away from the ancients spell book. Ancients spells are far to expensive per cast for ordinary training. I would recommend slayer dart, or fire/air wave, as those spells are economically cheap for the XP they give. But its all about where you use the spells. Someone recently mentioned to me that a good place to train is actually Avians! When you think of avians, you think of ranging them, but I have been told they actually have a low magic defence. It might be worth checking them out, as they have good drops in bars which could help pay for the spells you use. I would only recommend this however if you have a good defensive/summoning level and equipment, or don't mind using some Prayer Potions. Other good ideas are metal dragons, or any dragon for that matter, blues would be a primary choice. The bones and hides will help pay for the spells. If you do plan to use spells to train it, I would say slayer dart or fire/air wave. Other than that, you might as well just use Soul Wars. EDIT: Fist of Guthix is also an option too, but its reduced (but free) XP.

Glories look like a good buy at min price, what do you think?
And now you're getting banned I assume? He's already banned, you can see by clicking on his RSN on the left side by his name. Anyways, I would guess they will probably go down a couple days before a rebound. There's not that much demand for glories like there used to be. I keep an eye on them from time to time, and they have had a hard time rebounding for the past few months when the price drops.

Same....I'm confused :? I would assume he is talking about both the price limits, and frequency limits you can purchase items, in his post. At least that was my understanding since he references the price limits as "a few other tricky price caps".

Ya, that's how it is now. When you logout (either manually or by disconnection) the grave vanishes, but the items remain for the time the grave would have lasted, or the time the grave was blessed for. Having the graves stay, even for 60 seconds, after your logout would be a huge help. The problem with most disconnect deaths is once you die, you log within about 10 seconds or so, which is often not enough time to bless a grave, much less even see that someone has died on your team. As for the price caps, this can only be a good thing. The problem with price caps is, when things are the same as a store price, people sometimes don't buy from players, but from stores. Allowing the player price below a store price will encourage players to buy from players, and not stores, draining the supply, and putting up an accurate price. When the caps are first taken off, prices will go grazy, but after awhile they will settle back to normal. I'm glad that Andrew finally realized that caps do more harm than good, and hope this will make prices adjust much more accurately. TBH, if all goes well, it might remove many junk items from the game, since they will be a very low value. To low to be useful at anything except selling in general stores. That's the way it worked for years before the trade limits, and I think that's really the best method for getting rid of it from the game. Until we get Bowswords that fire feathered Javelins of course *CoughAndrewReadThat* :anxious:

Champion's Challenge (Minigame)
More frequent would be good, but 700-1000 is frankly just to common. Depending on the monster, a player can kill normally 1000 creatures in just a couple hours. It should take longer than that to get scrolls. I would rather have a system where it is not a random drop. A counter would count how many of one particular monster you have killed. Every 10,000 kills a scroll would drop. This way it is not simply luck, but something you can work towards. 10,000 is not to much to ask for, as this is supposed to be a long term challenge. It should be something you have to spend several days working for, not something you finish in a couple hours.

9th April 2009 - New Dwarf Quest: Diary 2
I agree, but I do like that their giving us some information behind it. Even if they spoil a little bit of the quest before hand, that's alright, since we are going to learn what happens during the quest anyways :P I'm sure as time goes on, we will get a bit more variety of the projects they are working on. As for the BH one, we actually did get an update not that long ago with a fair amount of information, but it was hidden and not really announced so it got buried among the threads. Its here: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=788223

Is there such a thing as 'dry worlds'?
Right concept idea, but wrong interpretation. The reason you see more drops later than sooner is not because the chance increases the more drops you get after a big drop. It is because as times goes on, you have more opportunities for the "dice" to roll on a rare drop. Example: You have a dice with 6 sides, #6 being the "rare" drop. On my first roll, I get a one. On my second roll, I get a six. Now, my next roll has the SAME chance to roll a 6 again. There is no less of a chance to roll a 6 on my third roll, than on my first, or second. So if you get a hilt on your second "roll" there is no less of a chance to get another hilt again on your third "roll". BUT The more times I roll after my second roll, each time gives me another chance to get a 6 again. So while your chance does not "INCREASE" the more rolls you have, you have a higher chance to roll another 6 in rolls 50-100, than rolls 5-10 since you are giving it more OPPORTUNITIES to roll. Make sure you are not confusing those two concepts. More onto the main topic: As for the "dry worlds", its possible they exist, but not level people are assuming. We do know how the dial system works, but like others have said, computer generated numbers are never really "random". They have several factors being input into an equation to produce a "random" variable on the spinning drop dial. If one of the variables in the equation is the world you are on, then indeed the world DOES effect your drops. But it doesn't mean if effects them positively, since nobody would know when a "dry" world would become "wet". In summary: If people are claiming that a drop in a world recently means there will be no drops in the near future.. This is FALSE. If people are claiming that a world does have a factor on if a drop is going to be "rare".. this is "most likely TRUE". Remember, if a world effects the drop, it is only one small factor of many, so the world change alone would not be enough to get "good drops" or "bad drops".

Bunny pet thats FINAL. For I own all of the rabbits/bunnies. There's already a bunny pet (kinda)... Well the Wolpertinger is half bunny, but isn't exactly cute and fluffy. Just as long as it isn't another costume, we already have half a dozen of those. And a *cute* pet bunny would be nice =]

Decoding the chaos elemental!
I'd say you're right. I don't see why people have any interest in the wise old man's telescope. No one ever mentions the random telescope on the balcony in varrock. Then people assume that since it's facing south it must be looking at the wizard's tower. has anyone here stopped to think maybe that telescope is a decoration, like the one in varrock, likely to be found in any study, anywhere. Stupid rumors from stupid ideas. -.- besides if the wise old man wanted to spy on somewhere he'd likely do it by magic. the telescope is probably just for stargazing. I'd say it's probably more associated with scopes in out POH, or the observatory. Well... hmm. Not saying your *wrong* or anything, but before you so easily dismiss evidence, I think maybe you should go into the WOM's house and look through the telescope? Just a thought, since unlike normal decorations, there is a view option on it. I have listed below what you see in it, put inside hide tags if your to lazy to go see the telescope yourself. [hide=]If you look into the Wise Old Man's telescope at his house, it shows a live window pointed directly at the Wizards Tower. If someone is standing at the tower, and you look through the telescope, you can actually SEE them from the Wise old Mans house. Pretty cool huh? Also when you ask him about the telescope and where its pointed, he gives a shifty answer and immediately changes the subject refusing to answer. That is why people have an interest in the scope.[/hide]

Decoding the chaos elemental!
I think its a good idea to take a look at the first postbag, and this one, to combine them together. Firstly, the first one contains the message about Ralvash, who we now know is a Mahjarrat. Also the second message contains information about the "Mahjarrat Meeting" which the time has almost come for. To me it sounds like "muspah" is another name for "Mahjarrat", since it talks about waking them. Azzandra also talks about the Mahjarrat entering a death sleep for long periods of time. The "sleeps with the fishies, if fishies frozen could be" phrase from the first message could mean that some of them are sleeping in a death sleep frozen in some ice. Or perhaps frozen in time. "Ralvash was last, who is next? Me? You? No, we're not one of them." Ralvash was the last Mahjarrat to die, but who is the next one to die? Not me or you, since we are not one of the Mahjarrat. But Lucien is. "one day it's almost time for a shadow to shift - and a shadow to open its unblinking, empty eye." More conclusive evidence that perhaps the other Mahjarrat are meeting to rise Zaros from his grave, but for what purpose? PS. Its a silly theory but what if "Watch those scopes and learn what you can before it occurs." refers to the Wise Old Man. What if the WOM is actually a Mahjarrat? They are not all accounted for and he certainly has the power of one, and the motives, eg. the Desire to find the Stone of Jas. (Eye of Saradomin which the Runecrafting Guild is doing research on.) Just a wild theory tho.

Decoding the chaos elemental!
For anagrams, I suggest you can try this one: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/adam.bozon ... solver.htm or http://homepage.ntlworld.com/adam.bozon ... solver.htm Those are the two I usually use. And some of them are not actually anagrams. For example Syzygy: In broadest terms, Syzygy (IPA: /?s?z??i/) is a kind of unity, especially through coordination or alignment, most commonly used in the astronomical and/or astrological sense. Syzygy is derived from the Late Latin syzygia, "conjunction," from the Greek ??????? (syzygos). Looks to me like that means the astronomical alignment is getting nearer, meaning a meeting is coming soon (most likely of the Maj's) of great importance.

Omni-Protection Prayer?
All of our prayers now do have something in common. They either: 1) Makes you attack more accurately 2) Makes you attack harder (do more damage) 3) Decreases the accuracy of your opponents attack. Assuming defense does not actually reduce the amount of strength your opponent hits, which I don't think it does, then we don't really have any prayers which reduce hits, only increase they chance they will hit a 0. That being said, a prayer such as 50% reduction of all damage may not be completely useful for all bosses, but certainly useful in certain some situations. Example: Using it on KQ would allow you to get hit more often by all her attacks, but at the cost of cutting all the damage in half. Instead of 33's, she would be hitting 15's. But hit more often. Something like this I think would be far more feasible, as while it can be very powerful, it has its drawbacks since its a power reduction and not an accuracy protection.

Hopping Down Bunny Lane... Again
Well, all of the Holidays Jagex celebrates are commercial holidays. While all of them started as Religious Holidays; Christmas, Ester, and Halloween have all be commercialized and are celebrated by a large number families world wide in a non-religious manner. This is why Jagex chooses to celebrate them with the Easter bunny, and Santa Claus, since those characters are not religion related, making it equal to everyone on a religion aspect. But Aside, I would like a item this year, rather than a wearable item. It seams in the past couple years we get more and more outfits. Clothes are nice, but I would like something original like the Easter egg ring was.

Brianite's Blog
Nah, Parties get kinda old after a couple 99's, and 99 Smithing was really only for a personal goal, not to show off or anything. Just something I wanted for a long time. Defense training has been rather slow, so I haven't had much to post here lately. I didn't really want to, but I decided to go back to SC for a few pickaxes for 85 mining. Pretty silly I cant mine the rune I can smith  I still got quite a few I need to get points for, but I got a bunch done yesterday and used them up this morning. I could get them done right away, but I don't want to cut to much out of my defense training and charms. I still try to keep at least 100k def xp a day, so I really only get time to mine on the weekends.

Possible dragon pickaxe, but does Adze deserve it?
It doesn't destory, you get FM xp from it Likewise you could get a small amount of smithing xp as it "destroys" the ore. But as was said earlier, the Adze was an Anti-Log-Junk tool. It was designed to remove alot of lower levels logs from the economy, from people power Woodcutting. In all honesty it should do the same with ores for those power mining.

Possible dragon pickaxe, but does Adze deserve it?
The Adze was more of a Anti-Junk tool, rather than a level enhancement. It was designed to reduce the huge number of logs collected by players everyday with woodcutting. It was also made as a pickaxe simply to make it a more desirable tool. But as for level's, like other have said, its level is the same as the rune pickaxe, and mines ores at the exact same speed as the rune pickaxe. The introduction of the Dragon Pickaxe will not really effect the Adze, since the adze will be slower, and it's supposed to be slower (or equal to the speed of the dragon equivalent) The only change I see is perhaps making the Adze have a 1/3 chance to destroy ores when mined with it make the mine-then-drop-for-XP process a tad easier. Other than that, I don't see anything changing on it.
