Gift ideas for girls that are just friends?
Aww damn, if you screw this situation up you could really make things ugly. Hopefully she knows you have a girlfriend already, if she doesn't, you better tell her. The last thing you want is to give her a gift that she takes a little too romantically. But purses are always nice. Gift cards are ok, but they are too cliched and give the message "I don't know what to give you so take this". Although in this situation she will probably be cool with it and might not get something any better. :-k I lol'd.

School and Dodgeball
When I was in grade school, something similar happened. I was in a Catholic school and my PE teacher explained to us that almsot every Catholic school in our district had stopped dodgeball because it was violent and dangerous. Our school was one of the few that kept the sport, the rebels we are  . Dodgeball is an incredibly fun sport and all sports can be violent if they get out of control. Hell, even gymnastics, the most non-violent sport next to golf, turned violent at my school when the pole-vaulter argued with the high-jumper, and all hell broke loose with the entire gymnastics team.

Teenage school hacker might face 38 years in jail.
38 years? Blagojevich could get that much for a political scandal. Seriously, what's with the over-the-top punishments on internet abusers lately? First the issue in Holland over the possibility over MMORPG item stealing being considered a crime, then that Myspace spammer with the hundreds of millions of dollars in fines, and now this hacker facing more jail time than some drug dealers and politics abusers. It's great that governments are cracking down on the abusers of technology, but I think the punishments are doing more than setting an example. They're causing a bit too much controversy.

Should the logout timer be removed?
If you ask me, the world-hopping time limit is far more annoying than a logout button.

Do you think you'll ever kill someone?
If I were to kill someone, I'd want ot to be the stereotypical hero way: In an epic, life-or-death struggle with a deranged maniac, my adrenaline and desire to protect my loved ones overpowers that of the enemy, and I force him to the ground and quickly take his life, much to the delight of the girl I love who was just seconds ago in mortal danger, and she jumps into my arms and we walk into the sunset. I can dream, can't I? But seriously, If I were to kill someone I'd want it to be done heroically and not maliciously. I can't stand the thought of me becoming a cold-blooded killer; I'd much rather do it as a last resort in a fight-or-flight scenario, or in a selfless and heroic manner to save someone else, or what I believe in.

Scariest Runescape Moment?
Y'all know about the recent hack site with an imitation jagex page that tricks you into putting your name and pass in to view secret stuff? Well, I almost fell for it. I went to the site, saw something screwy, and quickly exited. Then on Forsakenmage chat rumors were going that the site also had a keylogger when you opened it. I flipped out. Did 3 virus scans with three different programs, changed my pass, used onscreen keyboard for a week, and after my paranoia settled I learned there was no keylogger... :wall: And there was one time when I was ingame rev hunting with full dharok. I had done dozens of rev hunt trips before with little hassle, but this time I lagged when fighting an ork, and when I unlagged I was at 6hp. I ate like hell and ran to the mage arena bank, which was a good 5 minute distance. He kept attacking me with range and I was eating for my life. To add to the danger, I had forgotten my antipoison and the poison was slowly sapping my life. I managed to get away from him, thinking the danger was avoided. Guess what? Right outside the spiderwebs to the bank was another revenant ork. I almost crapped myself and tried to run but he managed to kill me because I was low hp and no food and had my prayer off. I wound up in fally and lost my dh helm, d boots, and d scim. Panicking, I ran to ardoungh, use the tele lever, and ran frantically to my grave. I managed to save my helm before my grave dissappeared, but I lost my other things -.- . Yeah, I was scared senseless many times that day, thankfully my losses weren't too huge.

Am I right to be upset?
Goddess?? You're BACK? Might as well contribute to the thread. Now, as Goddess said you should have made sure you came within the office's hours. Maybe another kid could have come and taken your test later if they wanted a scond opinion on their answers. Maybe an intern screws something up and it never gets delivered. I do think you're professor should have been a little bit clearer over what to do if the receptionist wasn't there. If he had flat out said "Do not place it in my mailbox, I will not check it" then your act would have been stupid and a waste of a grade. Just hope for the best that the professor can see the little misunderstanding and give you your grade back.

I Am Mad at my School!!!!

Father named child Adolf Hitler, and asks for tolerance
Those kids are gonna grow up to HATE their parents. You know you're kids are gonna be made fun of all their lives. When they apply for a college or a job or anything where they need their full name, corporations and universities wouldn't take the application seriously. At the very least, change his middle name. Adolf is fine by itself. Anyone who associates it with Hitler is immature. Adolf isn't that common either in America because parents are nervous over how politically accurate it is, so you can be sure that your child's name is pretty unique. But for god's sake, don't let this kid grow up to be named after Hitler.

Bush nearly assassinated...with a shoe
Wow, there's another global event for the internets to make fun of. ;) I have to admit, though, he did dodge that pretty quickly. And if you see the full video, secret service took the guy out in 5 seconds. And some other female politician got a black eye from being hit by a microphone during the drama.

Opinions on Revenants?
When I was a rev hunter, I would always try to kill the highest lvls (orks and knights and dragons) for their rumored loot (the knight was rumored to drop a SS, but it was never confirmed). They also were confirmed to drop glories, dds's, clues, god staffs, and a few other odd loots. But those drops are rather rare and it's very hard to pk revs for profit. They almost always drop coins. It was also rumored that if you smite him and make him run out of prayer (a rev was claimed to have been witnessed praying at an altar) then he will drop a good item because he used protect items. But if you smite him, you no longer can use protection prayers and that's suicide for mid-level players. And f2p doesn't have smite, so it's incredibly hard to get anything worthwhile from a rev even if the rumor was true. It's all speculation with revenants. So I think Jagex should step in, confirm what's true and destroy the false rumors, and make them more worth killing.

Random Crap Advertisements
I was watching CNN and sat through 4 Billy Mays commercials within 2 commercial breaks. Seriously, what is so good about him that makes advertisers want to use him? HE'S LOUD AND HARD TO IGNORE? But the stupidest thing of all is... Head-On and its sister products. If you have a headache and Head-On cures it, you really didn't have a headache in the first place. And the commercials just give you a headache. It's a conspiracy! "Sit through our commercial and get a headache, then be forced to buy our product to solve your headache, then repeat! Brilliant!" Wonder who thought that clever plan up, eh? And the fact that all those informercials and paid programming are all the same. They have some renowned cook or cleaner or the owner of the product or some famous guy talk about the product, while a short white lady stands there in awe as though the product is God's gift from above. It's especially fail-tastic when the lady pretends she's never heard of the product by asking "what else can it do?" when the even average doorknob can see she's a member of the company or paid to say those things.

After Christianity: what will be the next big "Religion"?
I can only wonder what it would take to destroy a religion with over a billion followers. Most religions that die are because the ruler or nation of origin go corrupt, and since christianity has had many popes and survived an entire schism, it'll take more than a war or corrupt pope to crush all of Christianity. Especially considering that a lot of Christians are minor sects that will come and go, and only Catholicism follows the pope. If I'm not mistaken, there are no official leaders of Protestants and Orthodox faiths besides local priests and ministers, so corruption can't destroy the entire religion. Even if the leaders of every Christian sect and division all die, all the 1+ billion people aren't just gonna give up their faiths or convert to another one, are they? You'd have to have several hundred years of nonstop corruption for everyone to just give up and/or die.

Runescape Banner with the "Sailing Cape"
Sailing would be the most pointless skill ever. Access to new islands? Why not just a normal skill or combat requirement, instead of a requirement that you have to do obscure actions to get your own boat across to an island? I'm really tired of people staring at blurry images, magnifying them dozens of times, then go bat[cabbage] insane thinking they've stumbled upon a revolution. It works in science, but not very often on the internet.

Dutch RuneScape
Did you actually learn english, or were you born with it? English is one of the hardest languages to learn because of complxe grammer and spelling rules and their exceptions. He never said anything about his language being superior, and Jagex catering to foreign language players is NOT a pointless endeavor. They only make a few servers, it's not like they're halting every major game update to throw out runescape in a language no one uses. I give them credit for managing to control normal updates as well as foreign language releases all at once.

The True World Map? Post your findings! [Updated 2014]
I'm not sure if the glitch still exists, but I remember when PoH's came out there were people who had a square of land on their property that said 60 wilderness when you stood on it. Perhaps PoH's too are actually in the wildy?

How do you get 'unsick'?
If you have a sore throat, gargle with salt water. It doesn't actually cure the sore throat, but it provides temporary relief by reducing the swelling. Consider buying those sticky nose things you put on top of your nose that widen your breathing passage that makes it easier to breathe. When you have phlegm in your mouth, ALWAYS spit it out and do not swallow it. As for stomachs, I have no idea what is actually a cure and what just satisfies your stomach. And as deloria said, orange juice doesn't benefit you very much when you're already sick. It just temporarily agitates a sore throat with the sourness. A neat trick my mom showed me to reduce tartness of juices when your sick and want to enjoy one is to sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper into it. I'm not sure what reactions occur, but it really works.

Opinions on Revenants?
The thing is, you need experience fighting revs. I used to be a professional rev hunter when I was a mem, and I occasionally still hunt them on f2p although it's a great deal harder. Revs don't even occur in pvp so they're not a threat there. And all you need to do is know some basic facts to survive the revs in non-pvp worlds. Wear melee armor to defend from his range attacks (his weakest attack that can still hit decently), turn on protect from mage because his mage is the strongest hit. Finally, turn on steel skin to help cut down the damage from range, although it won't hit very often even on rune. Since your running, his melee isn't even a threat, and revs cant run. So basically: wear your best armor, protect mage, and steel skin, and run like hell. Pretty much just like running from an inexperienced pker. Revs are by far easier to get away from than pkers. Without revs, the green dragon market would shoot up, clue scrolls would be easier in the wild, and other wildy tasks would be too easy. The whole point of the wilderness is to be full of threats that make normal skilling hard to do, although the rewards like efficient green dragon killing can be worth it.

What's the weirdest thing thats happened at your school?
Today our school had a stare-required lockdown drill. We had to turn off the lights, lock the doors, and sit quietly for 45 mins. They brought cops and police dogs to make it as authentic as possible. So the dogs sniffed out the lockers down each hallway and started barking at my friend's locker. He was Indian and his locker partner was Indian. After an investigation, they concluded the dogs smelled a fish curry scent on one of the kids' jackets

What's the weirdest thing thats happened at your school?
When we were in 2nd grade, my friend called our art teacher a "fatso" because she didn't give him a job to do while everyone was cleaning. She was a new teacher around 20 something years old. She actually cried, started screaming and swearing a bit (in front of 2nd graders  ) and threatened to call all our parents. All the girls started crying, and the guys yelled at the teacher for being unfair and she eventually ran out of the room. She quit teaching us at the end of the year. We didn't get in much trouble, except the kid who called her a fatso had to write an apology letter.

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
God damn people, learn to put quote chains in hide tags. And as always with borderline threads like these, someone makes a statement on porn and 4chan and all hell breaks loose. I think you should all die a painful and agonizing death and stop poisoning these threads with your stupid. Might as well contribute to the thread while I'm here. I often have low opinions on black people. I never EVER do anything hateful or violent and I never speak out my thoughts like that and I try hard to control it, but whenever I see black people cussing eachother out or budging me in the lunch line, I have the urge to say something incredibly rude to them.

Attack levels do more damage than strength? Find out.
A maxed attack with moderate strength is dominance in no-armor f2p fights. It's second only to 99 range in the scale of wtfpwnage of medium level players. Your foe, regardless of his strength, will be eating too much to hit you back. High strength is always useful to dish out hard hits that force your foe to eat, but without attack your foe could barely be concerned and will eat at his own convenience.

Noobs say the funniest things!
Man, I remember the funniest noob I ever met a while ago but forgot to screenie what eh said. It started in the RSOF rants forum. About a day after the Cold War quest was released. A noob comes on the forum and posts his rant on the quest's title. He said his ancestors were killed in the Cold War and the quest offended him. Me and a few other forumers spent a while trying to explain how many people actually died in the Cold War and he refused to listen. He insisted that the Cold War killed his ancestors and they were nowhere to be found. Man, that was the funniest rant I've ever had the pleasure of reading. I can't decide whether to use the  or the :wall: smily, so I'll use both. :wall: .
