  1. Took 3 days. Accidently bought a slayer ring earlier -.- , and I ended 5k exp from 77 slayer. [hide=Lolhelm][/hide]
  2. Cannoning scarabites in the Sophanem dungeon will get you a lot of crimsons, if you're willing to spend a little money.
  3. 1. Items that are useless but I can't for the life of me throw them away. 2. Herblore (all 4 doses of most commonly used potions) 3. Other skills (crafting, smithing, woodcutting, fishing) 4. Combat (basically just commonly used weapons/armor) 5. Slayer/Summoning (also included full rune and other drops that are commonly recieved in slayer) 6. Magic (runes, tabs, staves) 7. Clues (includes every single uri emote item for level 2 and 3 clues) 8. Other combat (mainly range, and other combat things I rarely use) 9. Currency, trinkets, and random useful items
  4. The ignore list isn't even close to being big enough. I'm glad im never in crowded areas. But I'll gladly lend people items I'm not using, as long as they're mature about it.
  5. Then why the hell even post the 3 day old screenshot? Just to piss us off?
  6. You aren't the only one. Seeing as this is the HD Beta, Jagex expects there to be many glitches. The reason for the Beta is so members can report any glitches they find, and Jagex can fix them before it's fully released.
  7. I love things like that. I've always dreamed of having some huge miniquest with an epic reward, but Jagex doesn't leak a single thing. The community shouldn't complain so much, seeing as they didn't even expect this. Unfortunatly, people are right when they say they'll still whine, but they shouldn't whine as much, should they? Dan is right, if Jagex doesn't tell us about a great update, there's nothing for the Rune-tards to moan about.
  8. Well that's an obvious one. First off, they release a lot of information in the news announcement. They tell part of the reward, for example. Do you expect us to read the first few sentences and be done with it? Also, many people are lazy and resort to spoilers when they get stuck. If we were to just plain cut down on the spoilers, people would be forced to figure some things out on their own.
  9. I recall seeing a rant about this a couple years ago, may have been on another fan site. I will recreate the general idea, as it bothers me whenever I think about it. I've noticed a change about the updates Jagex brings us. The change has been so gradual, that most of us probably haven't noticed it. Not about the updates themselves, but about how they present them. I was browsing the news archives from 2002-2003, and comparing the updates to those of today, I realized that Jagex seems to be giving us too much information. I mean, when a new monster, quest, area, etc. is released, they tell us exactly where it is. They tell us what level it is. They tell us how to do it. They tell us what we unlock. Here's the news quote for when the King Black Dragon was released: "You'll have to find him first." They don't even tell us the general location of it, let alone any other information. How exciting and unexpected would that be, walking into some cave and surprise! The strongest monster in the game is awaiting your arrival. Compare this to our modern holiday events. They release a detailed guide telling you exactly what to do, how to do it, different ways to do it, why you do it, and the rewards for doing it. They aren't leaving us enough to figure out on our own. Sure, there's still a ton for us to figure out, such as how to kill the new monster, the required items for the new quest, and where that danged clue scroll leads you to, but think about what they are giving us? Finding something. That could be a very difficult, challenging, and adventurous task. But the adventure is taken out when they tell us where it is! Rewards sections! They tell us exactly what we will receive when we complete the quest! How to do something. I'm glad they didn't go overboard with that, leaving it only to holiday events and certain other things. Does anybody else here think that Jagex should leave more of the surprises secret, so they can be, well.... Surprises! After all, the adventure in being an adventurer is discovering things and figuring them out.
  10. I remember when duelling was a free ticket to Lumbridge, and when the best method of staking was casting claws of guthix in full rune.
  11. I think most people who ask that question are really asking what level they stop being a 'newb'. Noob and newb are completely different things. Noob is a disgusting term, usually used to discribed immature people. Newb, on the other hand, is generally a non-offensive term used to describe somebody who is new to the game, and has little knowledge of it. As for the original question, the answer is different in everybody's eyes. There really isn't an answer.
  12. True as it gets. Go ahead and train a little at the apes, but don't stay there too long or else slayer wont be rewarding, if you want to get it to a high level.
  13. If you're looking for speed, and money isn't much of an issue, then craft soft leather from 3-23 and silver tiaras from 23-40. Very fast.
  14. You need to start "The Lost Tribe" quest, as that particular area is a part of the quest.
  15. I was listening to Viva La Vida by Coldplay while reading your title, and that made this thread 3x more dramatic. Dreams can come true!
  16. ima get some 99's b4 i bcome member bet i kno cb isnt from slayer but u need cb to defeat the monsters and how do u train wit ring of recoil? Let the monster attack you and do damage to you. You don't attack them, you let rings of recoil do all the damage. It's a long and grueling process, as you can imagine. But, it's still possible to get any slayer level you want with recoils. Look up Elishot, 65 slayer with 4 combat.
  17. Anyone who thinks there's a chance of the old wilderness coming back needs a reality check.
  18. Ooh, the .50 cal monster, sexy. Try your best not to pick a common name and slap a bunch of numbers at the end. I believe there was a great guide on name-picking in the player made guide forum, don't remember who made it, but you should check that out. It has great advice on this.
  19. Judging by his stats, I'd say he's been a member before :P 97 agility, awesome possum.
  20. How does that work? :-k Works excellent, hits as hard as a whip, but a bit less accurate.
  21. At the party you said you were quitting, be that true?
