  1. Back in classic the ultimate way to make money in our school was killing chaos druids in the temple north of Falador. I remember the overwhelming satisfaction I had seeing over 100 steel maces in my bank ;) My other favorable method after I became p2p took place by the fight arena. In the large building with general khazard in the cage on the second floor, you went to the top floor to find a MASSIVE iron armory respawn (consisted of plate, large helm, square shield, mace, longsword, and hatchet I believe). I remember my friend killing an autoer that picked up the runes out there and getting 10k earth runes, they were like 20-25 then.
  2. 2/10, the cash pile is the only thing that stands out, even for f2p.
  3. I know losing half of your money that quick can put you in shock, but that is NO reason to quit, especially when you're so close to your goal. Look at it this way: I'm 116 combat with over 1700 total. I only have a bit less than 20m to my name. Yet, I'm able to have the most fun I've ever had on this game. You have 70m, which is much more than I even need. Heck, with that much money, you can make your loss back easily. Just don't let something like this make you quit, at least try.
  4. I'm tired of people using words such as pointless and useless :| Really, like I said earlier, no skill is pointless.
  5. I don't think I could live without any skill. Every single skill is useful, and most skills support most other skills in ways that people don't even think about. I'm gonna list a few uses for the lesser thought of skills: Farming: Herbs- herblore; sweetcorn- tuna potatoes; trees- woodcutting; spirit trees- self explanitory; fungi-herblore Firemaking: Shade/Vyre burning- MANY useful rewards; light sources- dungeons; simply lighting a fire to cook an odd fish Hunter: Implings are quite good providers of random raw materials; chinchompas for range training, salamanders for range Thieving: Excellent provider of misc. raw materials, good money-maker, most people simply don't look at the amount of different useful things you can obtain Construction: Possibly the most useful. Altar- recharge/train prayer; lecturns- make teletabs; portals- self explanitory; kitchen- make a quick food item you need at easy access; costume room- bank space massiah. All at easy access! If I really had to choose one to lose, I'd probably make it fletching. Although I sometimes like to make my own arrows to avoid spending money, I just don't use this often enough.
  6. Shame about the loss of noob stories, but thankfully, they aren't hard to come by  This one happened to me a few minutes ago while fishing on my skiller: Me and the nubbins were fishing on the same spot by the way. Nubbins: Go away noob Me: Why? Nubbins: Im fishing here Me: This concerns me how? Nubbins: I need the exp! Me: I still don't see where I come into play... Nubbins: GO AWAY!!!!!!! Me: How do I affect your fishing? Nubbins: Omfg After explaining that unlike mining, multiple people can fish at the same spot, he requests my assistance. Well, I'm curious why. He says he needs exp, so he assumes if he requests my assistance, he gets MY exp as well. I just scratch my head and go elsewhere. UPDATE: He just asked me to be friends with him :|
  7. Did you keep the image tags when pasting the code in the box? You need to use the link to the image without image tags, otherwise it won't work. Still doesn't work =\
  8. Not a whole lot of options in f2p, but the Dwarven mine has a couple other iron spots that you should be able to find empty on a few worlds.
  9. Terribly sad to hear about how it happened. I think these guys deserve an EPIC round of applause. Even though they didn't have to work this hard, they did. They could've just logged off the forums and waited for other admins to take care of it, but they didn't. It would be so simple to put in a little effort, and say their part is done, but they didn't. All of our good-hearted admins stay up around the clock to bring us back the forums we love, and theres not a snowball's chance in hell they're finishing without a thank-you thread.
  10. That is one badass looking mask. Nice job. Currently 75 points out of 400, don't know how many tasks that'll be with the bonus points.
  11. Alright after the forum crisis my avatar was deleted, and I'm trying to put it back, but it won't let me. Keeps telling me the URL is invalid. Exact same image I've always been using, uploading it the exact same way with Imageshack, tried all the different URLs it provided, but it just won't work. Can somebody help me? Either give me a valid URL or tell me what to do?
  12. First ever gargoyle task. These guys are my new favorite task. Is it just me, or do they drop a LOT of blue charms?
  13. Not at all, let's put it this way: Why NOT bury the bones? 4.5 exp is better than NO exp. Why NOT pick up the coins? Even if it's 30 coins, it's more than NO coins. The only noob in that situation is him.
  14. The only Dagannoth King guide there is the standard one, not what I'm looking for.
  15. Are there any guides on Tipit that tell how to solo the Dagannath Kings just with mage? I know there's a couple that tell how to solo all of them, but I just want to know how to do it with mage.
  16. Just the guide I needed. How I practiced this was taking a friend to the duel arena, and have him act like the Jad. To make him switch quicker, he had a rune crossbow represent range, and a magic shortbow represent mage. It worked quite well, and was a challenge at first. Only problem is I still haven't gotten around to actually TRYING to get the cape...
  17. Thanks. Are my stats even close to what they need to be to solo other bosses, such as Bandos? I know to solo Armadyl I need roughly 85 range.
  18. That's what I've heard, are my stats high enough to solo him efficiently?
  19. I'm currently 26M out of 39M (roughly) from the cheapest Godsword. So I was thinking, instead of struggling to find a method to make money, that I could solo at God Wars, getting a hilt myself (or making money in the process). Which boss, if any, could I solo at least semi-effectively with these stats: 88 attack 85 strength 87 defence 87 hp 70 prayer 75 range Also, I'd appriciate it if you could tell me which stats I should raise to solo more bosses.
  20. This is the most well thought out post I have seen in Rate This. Ever. That deserves an automatic 10/10. Stats: 9.5/10 (Master quester, like me :D ) B.O.B.: 10/10 Thats my near-dream bank, with cash left over. 10/10 for you, your friends, and people like you keep me playing by making Runescape a nicer place.
  21. Well I guess 99hp cancels out that you pc'd (sorta). Shame that when summoning comes out you won't be so close to max combat 9/10, no matter what you did, you STILL maxed your combat. Actually, PC really shouldn't be flammable anymore, since it's horrid exp... Oh, and do ya love me yet?
  22. I don't think I'll risk testing that theory... Even if you don't invite me, I'll be there!
