I suppose you can get pissed about taxes, especially in Sweden. Income tax is about 30% of the salary. Let me try to remember... Things like food&hotel are 12%, books/travels/newspapers etc are 6% and things like computers/tvs/(i think cars too) are 25% tax. But this pays for hospital/school/(dentists up to 20 years of age)... etc. So i think it's pretty good.

Anyways, get a GTX 260 or HD 4870 instead, about same money as two 8800gt's and would be better (well i can't remember if 2 gt's outperforms one of those cards, but less electricity needed etc). I'd go for one of the mentioned cards over 2 gt's anyways... But up to you. Seems a bit expensive to me... I can build a similar system (but quad-core) for 650 euros.

Yes, pretty good deal. Good computer all around, also got ATI 3450... older games and movies! Now i'm to lazy to search any other sellers, but Zepto has good deals too. But their 300 euro laptop must have sold-out, because i know they had one 2 months ago. One of the big + is that it's free - no cost other than a cd-r. Fast, stable, source-code available... etc etc. There's just tons of stuff that could be mentioned about it as with any other OS. Why not download a *Nix of your choice and run a live-cd (no installation) to get a feeling of it.

Tested it. Have also scanned with Panda just in case, clean. It doesn't use a huge amount of ram, 30-50mb. Start up is slower than usual and the computer is not as fast as normally. E4500, 1gb ram, 8600GT. Installed on XP with SP3, says it's for no SP or SP1/2, but 3 worked for me. And yes, you can uninstall it by just some mouse-clicks. You could have kept your old thread instead of creating a new one since it was about graphics cards anyways. I've played Assassins Creed (which you said was one of the games you planned to play) on 8600GT with high settings on 1024x768 with no problems. 8800GT is a good card. Similar cards, ATI 3850/3870/4850... Nvidia 8800GS/9500GT/9600GT. These do not perform the same. 4850 is the best one, 9500 is the sucessor to 8600GT and performs about 15-30% better. Just check the prices of these, and if you find something interesting ask again. You might as well go ahead pick a 512mb version just to be a bit more future proof. And if you want to be more future proof in performance and play such games on high resolution with high settings: 8800GS/8800GT/9600GT/HD 3870/HD 4850. I don't know if it the inspiron has pci-e, but hopefully. Otherwise those cards wont work which has pci-e.

Nono, i was never trying to get her to be my girlfriend. The concerts were because we both liked the bands and if you both are going you might as well hang out before the gig. And yes, i go out with friends to the pub once a month... more or less. Problem is when you meet a girl who is too drunk... They do weird things lol. If you're playing RS/HD older graphics drivers are fine.. But for cd/dvd-games, drivers are more important. A driver often fixes bugs with the graphics-card and game, increases the performance of the graphics card, new functions, better fan-control... etc. Nvidia.com or Ati.com, and find the correct drivers.

I saw it has a ATI HD 2400 PRO 128mb, which is fine for older games... RSHD... videos etc. Which indicates it has pci-e on the motherboard (i hope x16 too). I'm sure it is x16, but for your own sake: Contact dell with the following questions about Inspiron 530 - What wattage does the PSU have? Is the pci-e (express) x16? The PSU is probably the one that would need changing if you're putting in a new graphics card. So i'm not going to advice you on one until you know the answers to those questions.

Internet-relationships Damn them! I'm not really seeking advice in the following post, i just need to get some steam of me. But if you got an advice, go ahead. But please, something more than "well, you should tell her what you feel". How should i start... There's two different relationships i want to talk about. 1: I think in uhm.. 2004, i met this girl "Sandra" in some chat somewhere. We became pretty good friends quickly, and took the train to meet eachother. Continued to talk every now and then. The turning point when i started suspecting that internet-relationships are not to trust too much, was at a time after a concert. We both are fans of this band called "Opeth", and they played in 2005 or 2006 (i think) a gig in Stockholm, which we went to see with each other. Was great fun (i even gave her a present in the afternoon... Some drawing i made when i was a little kid, don't know why i gave it tho...). A problem occurred after the gig, because Opeth ended late, at about 00.30 and the last train for me had gone, and her friend she was supposed to sleep at didn't answer her phone. So i had to call my mother in the middle in the night asking her to come pick us up (which she did, very kind). Well, Sandra took the train home the next day. And then i waited for her to speak to me (we hadn't "done" anything during the night), but never heard from her, so after a month or two i mailed her saying "blah blah... Why haven't i heard from you? Blah blah...". I got some excuse. Continued to keep in-contact with her. Then in.. uhm... 2006 or 07 there was this mini-festival in Stockholm (great bands playing, Opeth/Bolt Thrower/Amon Amarth/Satyricon.. etc.), which we both decided to go to and share a hotel room (to cut down the cost!) during the festival days. Well... I can't remember how our relationship was after that. But we maybe talked once every month or two. And last year, in November or so, i mailed her saying basically "do you still want to be friends or what?" (because i really had stopped contacting her, because she never contacted me... I always had to do it so the relationship wouldn't die out. So, in may-june last year, i stopped contacting her, and i NEVER heard from her). I only heard from her after i mailed her. Amongst other things, she said that she would try to improve on contacting me. It happened once, after a month she strook up a conversation with me on msn. But that was that. And this year, we've maybe mailed each other 2 times (last time in april or may)... Last week i removed her from my friends list on this "heavy metal community" site. I haven't heard a single f'ing word from her! Not even a "why?"! So i guess, this relationship really is down the drain. She used to live closer to me, 1h train time, but last year she moved to gothenburg... Which is about a 5h train-ride from me. I really like her, but it seems she doesn't have enough energy to care about this relationship. Thoughts? Damn... Writing much. 2: This is maybe more of a "what do i do?" question. I'll summarize this quickly. I met these two really sweet "friends" on a Unreal Tournament 2004 server back in 2004. Became really good friends (especially with one of them) as the time progressed. And in 2007 in june, i went down to meet them for 5 days. Was great fun and i had a really good time. The server started to "degrade"... Less people playing in august and onwards. And those two that i knew best, started playing another game called "Dofus" on some German server (they are germans). They both stopped playing at the server (one of them is the owner of the server). And i started seeing less of them on msn and didn't hear much from them. And the server was put offline in.. february or march this year. And a couple of weeks ago, i asked them if they would like if i came down to visit them. One of them, a guy, who i was staying at last year, i asked him if i could stay at him again if i were to visit them ("the 2" know each other, but lives in different cities). But he said no, because he felt that i and him had "lost contact". Well, he hasn't mailed me or anything... So am i to blame for the no-contact? But i said ok, if you say so. The one i know better, we can call her "mini", said she'd be very happy if i came down to Germany. But she hasn't really showed much interest... She hasn't been asking "when you ordering tickets?" or those questions. I take it, that neither of them are truly interested in me visiting them. So at the moment, I'm not going down there. (some irl friends and i have thought of going to Amsterdam later in autumn, so i guess i can take a flight there instead). It is a bit hard to explain this relationship... And it wasn't a quick summarize. So does anyone have an advice on this? I now understand that internet-relationships can't be trusted. Even if you think they are rock-solid, they aren't. And this pisses me off. If people don't want to have contact with me, and i almost always have to contact them... I've grown to "ok, if they don't contact me, i won't contact them... F-it.". @ Skatedog: Two very price-worthy CPU's - Intel Core 2 Quad, q6600, 2.4ghz, is at 195$ and AMD Phenom 9850 2.5ghz, 210$ Both of those two quads are really price worthy. And you can always save money by overclocking the cpu a bit, just a couple of 100's mhz and you'll be damn fast. @ Eggz: Your cpu and mobo are using different sockets. QX9775 uses LGA 771 and your mobo uses LGA 775. And lol, three 30" screens? Anything over 24" would be too much for me, especially when you're at such a short distance to the screen.

Broke my left lower-leg (dunno english word) when i was 12 playing football (soccer). Had a cast for about 6 weeks, and then even more weeks until i could start running again, some nerve or something got messed up tho, because if i touch on a specific place at that area, i get this weird feeling. Otherwise nothing serious as that.

I'm not going (2-3 hour flight to the festival), but even if i could go... I wouldn't. Only Metallica and Pendulum are the interesting bands at that festival. But i guess the festival isn't my kind of music.
