  1. 4  Why not have a rouge group of posters go and mass-spam other boards, so the mods are busy, then we secretly get up to 200+? Genius!
  2. There was nothing about that post I didn't like or agree with. And now I must go ask my father to make cheesecake. =P~
  3. Tried it, the cat wins. Although, if more often than not, a coin flipped starting out as heads will land as heads...Maybe if we attach coins head-side up to the back of the cat, along with buttered toast, we could eventually induce an infinitely revolving cat....Hmm...time to go get Fluffy from my grandparent's again (I wonder why she doesn't like me?).
  4. Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie. Good song.
  5. School. Good food, enormous library, golf carts...Oh goody. Not to mention 2 large gyms and a pool....Totally live in school, especially since I get free meals. WYR be maced or tazed?
  6. DOS! o w t ^To all the non-spanish-speakers.
  7. Why did Microsoft stop supporting XP?
  8. Banned for having a signature that has false claims on it. I happen to need water and food, as well as oxygen, and numerous other things. Love won't keep me together, but ligaments will.
  9. Beggars can't be choosers, can they?
  10. Bah, I still got my GED.
  11. A lot of my good friends are bikers, so it's natural that i would get into it. My best friend has a...well, I'm not sure what to call it, since nothing about it is stock. The frame I believe is a DK General Lee, but everything else is from different places. Cost him over $1,000 but it seems worth it for him. I can wheelie and bunny hop, and I'm learning to j-hop [it's not the same as a bunny hop. Bunny hop is both tires at the same time going the same height, j-hop is a small manual to a jump. looks like a J when executed, hard to explain really lol]. I've only been stunt biking for 2-3 months, and I use a large mountain bike (26" tires..forget the length of the frame, but it's not small or light), and it's just stock parts...so yeah, I'm quite happy with my progress lol. I'm looking into buying a bmx bike, probably a DK Cincinnati, or possibly a DK Cleveland. The General Lee 24" has caught my eye too, because I feel more comfortable on 24" tires. Some stories though..hmm..Well, I was riding with my friend who has the 1k general lee, and we were just doing some speed riding and looking for some places to go, and we were talking about something and not paying too much attention to the sidewalk. Well, it goes from straight to a sharp turn then you cross a driveway into the library/county offices, then another sharp turn and more straight..Well, we had just went down a hill, thus gaining more speed. I look up and see him jump the curb at the last second. I was a bit behind, and my brakes were broken and I was going way too fast, so I hit the curb near full speed, and that's when I: broke my mountain bike, got my dads (which had barely been ridden and was in good shape), and became determined to learn a j-hop.. I also remember riding home from school on his dk (he turned for his house on the way to mine, and we rode together after school [him doing tricks, me learning] often, so we usually waited for each other). Well, we had the "bright idea" to ride double on this tiny bike, me pedaling, him riding on the pegs on the back..Well, I'm chugging along as best as I can, and all of a sudden I start to wobble..To make it worse, my shoe got caught between the peg and the pedal, thus throwing us off even more..He half-jumped, half-fell and just ended up ripping part of his pants. I cut my wrist, the skin above my elbow, and 3 different places on/near my knee, all at least quarter-sized wounds. I start limping down the sidewalk and call for a ride, because I couldn't walk. I get home and my arm is burning like crazy, and the front of my right leg is just red and burning like crazy. I hated taking showers for 2-3 days after, still have the scars. All together I've probably spent more time injured than tricking. But it's so worth it. It's so much fun to just go out and ride. Plus, I see things differently just walking/riding around town. I dont see ditches anymore, I see a potential jump. Plus, learning tricks motivates me to go out riding just for fun and get some exercise and strengthen my knees (I can't really do sports because I have knee problems from past injuries, which sucks because I loved cross-country and lacrosse, and I had shin splints, which doesn't seem to appear in biking). Edit: For some reason, Dan's Comp is a forbidden site, which kindof sucks because I had links to a few things in there. Oh well, I suppose you can look them up if you want.
  12. I did that to my mom today actually. Me and my dad (his computer is right next to hers) had a good laugh about it. When she went on later in the evening, she flipped out. Thought her computer was broken, then demanded we fix it. We both just shrugged after pretending to try and fix it and said maybe it was a virus in a game she downloaded (cause she plays too many games...lol). She restarted the computer and the icons unhid themselves...man my ears are still ringing. Weirdest prank, other than doing that to my whole programming class one day (for suppossed programmers, only 1 person knew how to fix it besides me), would be changing windows sounds on a friend's computer. I managed to find one of the screamer sound files. Also found some more...inappropriate sounds... I think he still hates me for both of them, but I got his little sister too (with the screamer only, the other sounds probably would have gotten me jailed or something), so it's all good. I also made an exploding birthday cake...Totally worth the time and money.
  13. My ipod is about the same (although it only has one major crack, it's unreadable). They wouldn't replace it for free, but they offered to repair it, for some $200+...Although I'm not sure it was covered under warranty when it broke, my friend had the same problem and just ended up buying a new nano after being rejected for a free replacement. I'd say if you can deal with it, just use it with the cracked screen, or use it as a portable hd..If you are rejected, you can search for screen replacement kits, which can run $25-100, depending on the model. It's not that hard to do, but it's more for an "ah what the hell, at least I can say I took one apart if it fails" attitude. There are many guides on doing this too, just look around google.
  14. Media players have this nifty little thing called a "playlist" Don't patronize me. I know damn well what a playlist is. 3 of my mp3 players can't use itunes or windows media player, etc, to get the music on to them. I have to do the drag and drop method for all of them (then again they only hold about 21 songs each, and were incredibly cheap, so that may explain some of it, and why I have 3). So, without being able to do anything but drag and drop, I have to hunt through my music folder and get each song I want individually and copy it to the player...And even if I create a folder for the player, that folder will change a lot, and I would have to sort through my music first to get the songs to put in the folder... Plus, playlists don't magically appear. You would have to sort through 16k+ songs to create your playlist, which is a nice chore in itself...

There are people who don't enjoy setting stuff on fire and watching explosions? :-k I would love to work with pyrotechnics. I know how to make a few small things already, but nothing fantastic...I still have the burn marks on my hand from a failed experiment... I've made mistakes too,so keep trying.Just don't ever try molotov cocktails.Scarred my right eye and my chest. Way to late on that advice. They're quite fun to make actually...What you should never try is making napalm..I can almost feel the burning thinking about it. I forgot about my desire to pilot a helicopter. I'm afraid of flying in airplanes, but I love helicopters. I don't think I'd go as far as a military pilot though (although the Black Hawk would be amazing to pilot). And lol at the Jesus bit. Stereotypical teenage male dream? Lol.... I don't know how this slipped my mind, but I want to be a professional bowler...well not want to be, going to be. I'm slowly heading there, but I can't get enough practice due to my mom being out of work and money being really tight (cutting down practice, which has also cut my average a good few pins). That and I dropped my sponsor (although after what he did, he's lucky I didn't burn down his new place of business and also his house...bastard). I did rank 24th out of 360+ teams in states in doubles though, and in division 3 (I think, may have been 2), which is an improvement over last year, so I guess that's a plus.
  16. 4chan exists as a place for anon to leave their mark before they become Darwin Award winners. They leave behind their photo collection and head off to tie a rocket to the back of their truck and launch themselves into a cliff...or to rob a convenience store weilding a knife, demanding change for a 20, getting the 15 dollars in the register, and running off, leaving the 20 on the counter...If they stay alive, they post guro and hentai. The more perverse and disgusting the posts are, the funnier the death will become. And if the kid is dumb enough not to weigh the risks and actually climb over two fences and go in while the roller coaster is running full-speed (not like the downtime between coaster boardings), then maybe the family is better off? Who knows what other insane and stupid things he's done without them knowing. Oh no, meol is on to us! Everyone hide in /b/, it's our only chance! And Ginger, the kid died for a hat...not his country or something truly worthwhile, but a hat (if that's even what it is, they said he lost something maybe)...If he was just trying to touch the ride, then that's even less of a cause, the only way to describe that is he wanted a Darwin Award bad...There's a difference between fighting for something that has a meaning and dieing for it, and dieing for an easily replacable object (hat) or sheer stupidity (wanting to touch the ride)...

I'll join in a few months. I just started reading a beginners java book, and chose learning that over C++ (which I'll learn soon after). I'm taking an animation gaming course over at the vo-tech next to our school too, which will be half of my school day (I think I'm going to enjoy this coming year, as I have no math to take either, finished all my credits)....So...I'm in....next year. (So in short - game programmer, or maybe web design...always fun, but not really exciting). There are people who don't enjoy setting stuff on fire and watching explosions? :-k I would love to work with pyrotechnics. I know how to make a few small things already, but nothing fantastic...I still have the burn marks on my hand from a failed experiment...
  18. It's not the parks fault he died, it's pure stupidity. The signs clearly state to keep out because it's dangerous, and anyone with common sense would be able to figure out that something moving 60+ mph and that weighs who knows how many pounds, and moving at head-height, would be dangerous at the least. The park shouldn't be held responsible for what happened, they took all the precautions necessary (or at least those required by law), and someone violated those rules and didn't heed the warnings. Must have been a hell of a sight for the people there that day though. About the worker being killed, that was probably the parks fault. What the hell was a worker doing in there while the ride was running? The ride should either have been shut down, or the employee was doing something they shouldn't have been...The fault probably lies with both parties... The one about the girl in June though, that would get a bit more sympathy out of me, because it is a fault with the rides, but for all I know, it could have been just a freak accident, and something that couldn't have been predicted. Usually parks are rather meticulous about inspecting everything to make sure it's safe...In any case, that really sucks, I can't imagine what that would be like, especially for the people she was with...
  19. If you have a pool, play Sharks and Minnows too. It's the same thing, but in the water. The Game is fun, but it's not really a camp game. I don't get how this would promote bonding. I will definately +1 to manhunt. Really fun game, especially if you play in the woods. Better in small groups though, too easy to get caught in large groups. May not be good with younger children or if you have a curfew (we always played at around 10-11pm because its too easy in the sunlight). But it's fun no matter when you play it, or with however many people. My most favorite game to play at camp though is capture the flag. It's easy, gameplay can last awhile, it promotes teamwork and creativity...there's really nothing bad about it. More team builders: Minefield - you place something on the ground, maybe pieces of paper if it isnt windy, cans, whatever. One person is the leader, and the rest of the group is blindfolded. The leader must lead their team through the minefield from a stationary point, while making sure the members of their team don't hit anything, and the first team gets a prize or something. If someone hits something, they can restart or get a penalty of time or something. Really fun game. Multi-person tug of war is quite interesting. You tie 4 ropes to a ring of metal or something sturdy (unless you're amazing at knots), and then have people stand in the 4 cardinal directions (or basically a + ), and have them pull. It's harder because you have to try and strategize to get the ring over their mark. It is a strength challenge, but there's more to it than brute force.
  20. No, I just don't believe it should be considered a mental disorder. And don't start quoting wikipedia articles at me because you think I'm wrong in my beliefs. Do you also go around reading the bible to athiests? I don't. It's not an ignorant statement, I know that depression is considered serious and blah blah blah, because I've lost a cousin to it already and my mom was "diagnosed" with "depression." If you want to try and debate this further or comment on it, do so through pm, because it's just becoming spam on the thread.
  21. Wow...160 gigs of music..That would take up all the room on all 3 of my hard drives, plus part of my mother's...(I have a 60gig and 2 35gigs...)...That's quite amazing. I have 693 megabytes of songs scattered over a few folders, which is quite small compared to some of these collections... I don't know how you people have all of those songs...I would hate to have to find a specific song file like that..even with the search option in windows it would be a pain... :ohnoes:
  22. Hmm..can you post a copy of the url you're trying to put in? Sometimes websites add an ending or something that won't allow the forums to recognize the image. Also, there may be something wrong with the file size or dimensions..
  23. Sigh... -.- Every goddamn time a thread like this pops up. Suicide (generally) happens due to a person hitting absolute rock bottom. To them, that is the only way out, due to the chance that they are most likely suffering from Major Depression (a clinical mental illness). He wasn't stupid, he was sick. I know, because I've tried it before -.- Then I figured out what a completely idiotic and senseless act it was, and it's not the only way to deal with the problem. Clinical depression is a lame excuse for getting "happy pills." It doesn't take much to stop depression, or at least it never did for me, and I have plenty of reasons to be depressed. I don't feel bad for them because if your stupid enough not to see reason, then you're just wasting space and resources. And I'll be as technical as I want to, thank you. How about everyone stop being technical. Then we're all screwed. Take, for example, the military not being technical and thorough while monitoring missile launches? Guess who just got blown up - you did. The Wii a computer, but it's a gaming console. It's a specialized type of computer, a sub-class of computers. A desktop computer game will not play on a Wii, and a Wii game will not play on a desktop computer. There is a large difference between the two, and that difference should be observed.
  24. Holy crap, that was a waterfall? I was trying to figure it out but now I feel bad cause it's rather obvious. The edge of the waterfall needs some serious work...Right now it looks kind of like the static you see when a tv station is down or unavailable.. There's a bit about the water I don't like..I think its because it doesn't really look smooth, but unfinished...like you forgot to blend the colors... I love the boat though, that was done perfectly. The sun doesn't look too bad, but I like how the purple-magenta part is done, the red and orange looks too scattered, kind of kills the sunset for me. Overall not the best signature I've seen from you, but not the worst.
  25. Wow, those last two are really unaltered? Amazing photos, as always, but #3 and #4 are really amazing...I wish I could see something like that here...All I see in Florida is old people, flat land and rain...not really great picture material...
