How to earn for a whip (no merchanting!)
Make Varrock Teleport tablets in your house and well them for 1.5K gp each on World 18 in Edgeville. I started doing that last night. I managed to sell 150 Varrock tablets in 5 to 10 minutes. They sold faster than hot cakes! Faster than hot cakes!! So, you're sort of still merchanting but you're selling an end product that many PKers love to use. Plus, you train your magic while making teleport tablets, which I didn't know until last night!

The "Lost Worlds" mystery
Maybe the server was struck by lightning and all its innards were fried into a heap of burning slag. Servers and their respective worlds come and go. Don't lose any sleep over it and claim that the world is about to end because of a disappearing world.

Should Jagex make another report abuse situation? Yes or No?
So begging would be equivalent to harassment? I guess that makes sense. I usually tell the beggers how to get started on training a skill so that they'd understand how to do something in the game. I recently met a younger player and he started asking me for favors and free stuff like a Glory amulet since I have more than one; I only have two Glory amulets since I don't buy a lot of half-keys nor make it a mission to get Glory amulets, but that's not the point of my little story. Anyways, I told this younger player that it's better to train his character's skills so that he can do a lot of these "high level favors" for himself. One such favor that he asked for was if I can make cannon balls from him. Of course, I am able to make cannon balls but I told him it's better that he train up his smithing so that he can benefit from the exp. I also told him that if he really wants me to make cannon balls for him, he'll have to provide the iron ore and coal (couldn't remember if cannon balls required iron or steel bars at the time). He told me he could only mine copper and tin so I told him to start swinging that bronze pickaxe of his. None of the high level players got anywhere for begging and asking for favors. Even myself on occassion ask for some small favors from the higher levelled players that I know but I always try my best to meet them half-way like providing raw materials or paying them for their services. Money (and favors) simply do not grow on trees and we need to get these younger players to understand this fact.

Ozaich(?) and the new visage
I'll post the different dialogs for everybody to see so that people won't lose sleep over this issue of whether or not they need to speak to Oziach (sp?). I'll do that after work and I'll post images of the conversation instead of just the text.

Melzar's Maze now inaccessible?
Because he's a friend of mine. True. Who are we to say that you don't know him in real life or are good friends back on RSC, right?

The new shield - a missed opportunity
I think people should try the shield out before complaining about it. Seriously, every time there's an update no matter how major or minor, there's always a somebody who'll sling mud at it before trying it. If Jagex decides to make a Dragon Kiteshield update, it'll probably be split into halves like the Dragon Square Shield, or maybe even quarters. I think it's good that there's an update for people who are serious Metal Dragon slayers. Maybe we'll see an increase in availability of Dragon equipment.

Runecrafting V Slayer!!
I enjoy both skills since each has their own rewards. I train runecraft to support my magic training and to help make money via High Alching bows from my fletching training. I train slayer so that I can get some potentially good item drops. I say "potentially good item drops" because I have terrible luck in getting anything good at my current slayer level.

RuneScape Guide Worth Purchasing?
I suppose you can use it to start a fire on a really cold winter day. But seriously, not only is the Official Site packed to the brim with information on the basics, there are more than enough fan sites available for you to read guides on just about anything you need to know to help you make money. It's rather sad to see some players (some younger players, not all) that are under the impression that money will fall into their laps with no effort at all. Most, if not all, the money that's currently in the game came from dedicated players that used their various skills to "create". The most common way that players "create" money is by using the High Alchemy spell. You may think lvl-55 Magic is difficult to get and you'll burn a hole through your bank before you start seeing the money but this isn't the case. The most important fact that you should remember while playing RuneScape is "skill synergy". Use your skills and know how to use them. Don't trap yourself into making a so-called "pure" character and neglect your non-combat skills. You can think of Primary skills as the skills that allow you to obtain raw materials for Secondary skills. Examples of Primary skills woodcutting, mining and fishing. Secondary skills are skills that consume raw materials, which include crafting, fletching, firemaking, smithing and just about every other skill. Then there are Tertiary skills that don't really fit into the material gathering nor the material consuming categories but instead enrich your gaming experience. Examples of Tertiary skills are Agility and Thieving. So, with 23 skills for you to use, there's plenty of ways for you to make money and use money.

Dragon
Actually, I found the Dragon Mace to be rather useful for its crush attack bonus, especially against the battle with Barrelchest in The Great Brain Robbery. I'm not rolling in dough nor am I obsess with getting an Abyssal Whip but I find the more commonly available Dragon weapons to be more than suitable for most quest battles and slayer tasks.

Str Ammies
Or just high alch the Strength Amulet and find out yourself. If you don't believe another person's response, then why did you bother to ask in the first place?
-
Flecthing: Maybe a stupid question
If you gather most of the materials yourself, then you won't be losing too much money. Chop your own yews, spin your own bowstrings by buying flax, runecraft your own Nature runes by buying pure essence. It'll take you three times (or more) as long to do everything but it will help you maximize your net profit.

Buckets please?
Hand in the Sand isn't a difficult quest to do. Just follow the Tip.it quest guide and you'll be done in an hour or so. I suppose you can go to Catherby and buy buckets of sand from the Charter ships. I'm not sure about the cost per bucket but it'll save you a bit of trouble from filling the buckets with sand yourself.
-
Buckets please?
The Port Phasmatys General Store keeps a stock of 100 buckets. If you've completed the quest Hand in the Sand, then you can get 84 buckets of sand every day whenever you talk to Bert.

Weilded Harpoons
If you can catch Barb-tail Kebbits, you can get as many of these harpoons as you want. You can catch Barb-tail Kebbits in the Feldip Hills hunting region.

Wilderness weirdos?
I don't PK in the Wilderness, nor do I stake at the Duel Arena. Maybe these PKers should switch gears and fight in the Duel Arena so that they can enforce some of these rather ridiculous "rules". From what I understand, the idea behind the Wilderness is that it's a free-for-all, anything goes area that a player can kill another player with no restrictions imposed upon them and must rely on their wits and their warrior prowess to survive anything thrown at them.

Thank you Kiara_Kat!
*raises a tall, cold, pint of Asgarnian Ale* Kiara_Kat, I wish you success and good fortune in your future endevours!

Sorry
I think we need a Forum Mod to lock this thread. I thought there's a forum rule that forbids us from using [well known RuneScaper's name] on any post. A thread like this isn't going to generate meaning full discussion anyways...

quick quest item quesion
You can drop the Robes of Elidinis and get them back from wardrobe in the Temple of Elid in Nardah. The Beads of the Dead is from the Shilo Village Quest, right? You can try going through the steps in the quest to get the Beads back but I can't guarantee that'll work. The Beads aren't useful outside of the quest and you're better off selling them to the 'rare objects collector' in Shilo Village. I can't remember his name but his hut is north of the Shilo Village general store, right across the river that runs through the village. He's also the person you talk to to start the quest One Small Favor.

*!* Slayer Task = Better Drops *!*
I disagree. The amount of drops, even when on a Slayer task, is totally random. I was assigned to slay Banshees several times and not once did I get a Mystic drop. If you happen to get more drops during a Slayer task, then you were just lucky. :|

Runecrafting (33+)
If you're willing to train your farming until you can grow a willow tree, I have something else you can try. 1. Do the quest "Enlightened Journey". The puzzles in the quest isn't too difficult once you figure out how to fly the hot air balloon. Refer to Tip.it's quest guide for more info. 2. Unlock the hot air balloon routes for Varrok and Castle Wars. After the quest, you'll have Taverly unlocked and ready for use. 3. Do the quest "What Lies Below". Again, refer to Tip.it's quest guide. 4. Make or buy a few Rings of Dueling. You'll be using them to teleport to Castle Wars. 5. Now, starting at Castle Wars, have the following things with you: Chaos tiara/talismen, your highest woodcutting axe type, a Ring of Dueling, all the pure essence you can hold, and 1 free inventory spot (must have!) 6. Run outside Castle Wars to the hot air balloon. Chop a regular log and fly to Taverly. Run south a little and chop a willow log and fly to Varrok. Run south to the Saradomin statue and go to the Chaos portal. Make your Chaos runes. Use your Ring of Dueling and return to Castle Wars to restock on pure essence. 7. Repeat steps #5 and #6. Good luck.

Desert treasure with no prayer??
Unfortunately the torch safe-spot to fight Damis (Shadow guy) has been removed for quite a while. I'm not sure how long ago it's been removed (maybe years :? ) but you'll have to try something else, especially with no prayer. I've read on other forum posts that people have asked friends to stand between them and Damis to act as a "meat shield". I'm not sure if this works since I never tried this method nor has a friend asked me to stand in as a meat shield.

END.

Skill Cape Emote While In Egg-Form?
A graphics bug? Maybe you should email Jagex about it although it doesn't break the game. One graphics bug that I saw was at the Keldagrim Mining Cart station. When a dwarf was riding into the Blast Furnace building, his mine cart went off the tracks, went through the building wall, and somehow made it back on the mine cart tracks.
