POLL: What were your thoughts on the Bonus XP Weekend?
HexiledRazz replied to Cowman_133's topic in General Discussion
I thought the fail math kinda sucked, but if they do it again I'm sure they'll fix it. Or adjust the information they give so it actually matches the actual degrading time. But i got some decent levels. 1 herby level, 1 rc level, 4 cooking levels, and 3 fishing levels. I know it seems terrible, but i hate skilling to begin with XD Plus, i had my friend over, and we shared the computer every hour. And i was training both my zerker and main. So i got over 20 hunting levels on my zerker. -
Aww.. I thought it might have been due to a bug.. Ah well. Guess i have some skilling ahead of me. I could use some total levels though...

I heard somewhere(I believe it was on here) that you can request assistance with some of the diary tasks. Specifically Seer's village. I'd like to see if this is true, because I'll have to get 12 fletching levels, and 4 cooking levels otherwise. Since these are two of the skills i can stand the least, I'd like to avoid this. Even if they're two of the easiest skills to get up. Because i have other skills to get up(Fishing 6 levels, Firemaking 5, and smithing about 7 - 8 for the Varrock diary).

Do you need the stat reqs to start the quest? I know you need the quest reqs. But I'm not sure about the stats. If so are you able to pot up for them?

Have I played since the so-called 'golden days'?
HexiledRazz replied to A0z9's topic in Help and Advice
I think most people refer to before PvP was changed and the GE added to 'The Golden Days'. Yes, it's true that sitting in Fally W2 for hours typing something out over and over again had a sort of magic to it. And PvP was obviously better. But look what we have now. Summoning, the GE, GWD armour, and countless little updates that made the game that much better. I would have given both of those up in a heart beat. ...But of course, I'm not a PK'er. At most I'm a avid minigame addict(Those of you whippersnappers call them activities now). So if i did PK, my opinion might be different. But the fact doesn't change, RS has changed for the better. -
Previously the game would always calculate your max hit on your strength bonus, strength level, and any prayer you might be using. However, there was a hidden decimal that was always rounded down. So say that the game reads your bonuses, and calcs out that your max hit was 45.7. Though it would be rounded down to 45. But now, with the new LP update, it essentially just moves the decimal over one space to the right. So now your max hit would be 457. This is the reason i like this update so much. Because now every little bit of strength bonus you can build up counts. You no longer need to build up roughly +4 strength bonus, or a few strength levels just to maybe hit 1 more. It all counts now. The effects maybe don't show tremendously in a normal fight, but if you're DM'ing in PvP, the little extra you hit can add up quickly.

Well, if i want to go troll hunting, i normally go to the RSoF(LOL) Anyway... Well, when i got a troll task, i killed the troll spectators that were hanging around where Dad is. I dd that so i could cannon them, though.

Well, the easiest way would be to make a post on the Runescape forums, then print screen and paste it into a image editor like paint. Then you can crop out your actual avatar(Must be 100x100 or less), then save it and upload it to a photo hosting site like Photobucket or Photo shop. Then you can get the URL, go into the settings of your profile here, then you're able to input the URL, and there you have it.

I don't mean to thread hijack, but what is this? Bonus exp weekend? O.o Did i miss a update or something? Edit: Nevermind. I decided to not be lazy and google it XD Well, i would use it on skills that you hate training. Otherwise, ones that cost a lot. *Wishes he waited a while before getting 79 summoning*

Barraging what? Rock lobsters? Or something else?

Jellies - Best clue giver for a high level?
HexiledRazz replied to Dire_Wolf's topic in Help and Advice
Clue drops are completely random. Your best bet would be camping at jellies. Because they're a lower level. -
Clan chat is 'Burstinglobs'

It's not a issue. It's what's suppose to happen. If you're in combat, you don't log out automatically. If you lose connection during combat, your account still doesn't log out. If you could log out as soon as you lost connection, think of the chaos it would create. Someone in a tight spot at some boss or in PvP could just close down their browser and log out right away. Without following the 10 second combat rule.

This. And on top of it, Fighter torso disappears even outside of BH.

You 'Always' want HP exp. without it, your opponent will out last you in battle, and has a higher chance to K0 you. You should be going to soul wars for nothing else then HP EXP. Other then that, your pure could work. I would suggest getting 10 def and doing Wanted! for white armour. And on top of this, depending on what you want to do with your attack in the future, get 31 or maybe even 44 prayer(You will need defensive prayers to complete quests like Monkey Madness, unless you're extremely skilled and have friends to help you). I've never trained a 10 def pure myself, but from what i hear they're pretty effective in PvP.

10M?! And i just happen to buy a bottom and top before the SoL came out. And i have enough to buy a hood >:) I think i might have some cash coming my way... Well, considering the 1/2 runes saved combined with the SoL, reduced recharge rates, and how long it takes to get in the actual game, I'm guessing around 10M is correct. EDIT: I sold my set for roughly 7M(Got a focus sight + 800k in addy P++ arrows). And if the focus sight manages to work it's way over 3M, i've mad a decent profit ^.^

Okay, just as i thought. Actually, i have just enough charms to get to the minimal level for the best pouch for me to make, without wasting any exp. With the charms i have now, i can get 76 summoning. So i think I'm going to take a break from water fiends, and get that level(One reason is because i won't need to bring a summoning potion along with me to summon my 2nd yip, thus saving me a invi spot). And acording to my calculations, I'll need another 411k exp worth of charms... That's a good 1.2k crims. And about 12 water fiend runs. Guess i got a lot of more work ahead of me. (Could still use some cost estimates)

Alright, so I'm pretty tired of people in Clan wars and Castle wars picking on my lowly mithril minotar. So i've decided to upgrade my main summoning familiar to a titan. I have a cashpile of about 35M atm(About 5M is put into a Z spear, because I'm doing wfs atm) and I'm planning to get 79 summoning, and 80 prayer out of it(although I'll go for 80 prayer after this). And i have roughly 950 golds, 750 crims, 550 greens, and 400 blues. Although these charms will only get me to about 75 summoning. So i need to gather more. As you can guess, I'll be using Water fiends to gather my charms. Bursting rock lobsters is kinda out of the question for me due to certain reasons i don't like to explain(I can tell you that it involves a single rune throwing axe, a 10 second lag, and a horde of angry rock lobsters...). I calc'ed it out, and it said that i would roughly need 3.7K crims. But this is excluding all of the EXP i could get from my blues, golds, and greens(I AM going to use my blues. Not save for later levels. Because i don't think I'm going to go beyond this level for a while). So I'm thinking about getting 1.7k - 2k crims and re-calcing to see if that would be enough combined with all the other charms I'm getting. What i want to know is what pouches i should make, and roughly how much it would cost. I am going to trade in pouches for shards, eliminating 30% of the cost for those. But 2nds is really going to get me. Since stranger plants are pricey to make due to the shop updates. And I'm sure a lot of other 2nds are this way too. (New question) What pouch would be worth trading in? I can't for the life of me find one... -Thanks!

He means there isn't really any middle ground. Ether you fork over millions for Dbones + ecto/g altar, or you face slow EXP rates with big bones. And herblore isn't really useful till you can spend millions to get it around the level for Extremes or overloads. Unless you're a DIY kind of person. Out of all of them, id go with prayer. Since it's really expensive to train atm, and it's useful at every level(slower drain rates). Construction isn't that big of a money if you're just training it. With oak larders + SC hammers, it can be very fast and not to-to expensive. Re-modeling your house is when the money starts coming into play. But it's well worth it if you do it right(I modeled my house to be extremely efficient).
-
Oh, i should add that i play on low detail with bottom-ed out settings. And it normally happens with large amounts of lag.

I actually just got done doing a few solos with the KBD. Then i decided to come here, and look what the Tip.it times was =P It's basically what will always happen. Jagex comes out with new bosses, players come up with tactics to kill the bosses most efficiently. Plus, in time they also get new items to kill the bosses with. It's a never ending cycle. ...Or is it? This really can't go on forever. Jagex will soon exploit every boss idea that is possible, without making them impossible. And more powerful items will come out for use in all forms of combat. ...And yet we're still stuck with 99 sad little hitpoints...

Ouch... This makes crazy sense, because i have a ati card... And it might have started after i updated the driver. Because i did so a few months ago due to a problem with my new monitor. Well, i do lag out a lot at those spots. The GE most specifically. Well, this very well could be the problem. I'll look around for a solution. Thanks! (i can still use advice here though!)

Okay, this is a problem i've had for months, maybe even a year. But it's gotten a lot worse lately. When the game loads a new area, or when I'm lagging, or have more then one tab open in Firefox. my game screen will go black and I'll have to re-freshen, reload the whole game and log back on. It's getting to the point where i just don't log back in because I'm sick of getting 'black screened'. It's also keeping me from doing any sort of boss hunting, or PKing because i've died a few times because of it. I have a few things that might have been the problem: When ever i re-freshen the page, another Java icon will appear in my taskbar. up to 6 or 7, possibly more can appear depending on how many times i've had to re-load the game. I can make them go away be expanding the hidden icons. Once i do, one will disappear, and the taskbar will snap back and re-hide the icons. I can repeat this process till all but one of them are gone. Another thing which i recently 'fixed' was the Javas i had installed. When i went to the 'change or remove programs' menu, i had about 7 different things of java installed. EG: Java version XX update XX(All of which were different versions and updates) I just un-installed all of them, and re-installed the recommended java for my computer hoping that this was the problem. It wasn't, the screen still blacks out, and i still get multiple icons. And something that happen when i installed the new java: I went onto Runescape to see if it worked, but it said Java wasn't installed. So i checked to see if the plugin for firefox was enabled, and it was. Then i tested it with the test feture on the Java website, and it worked. So i re-freshen runescape, and that worked too. I hope i provided enough information on the subject that someone can help me fix this. I'm actually getting sick of playing Runescape because of this problem. (If this belongs and Tech and computers, a mod can move it.)

I actually did this on my Zerker pure the other day. It only took my one try, about 6 sharks, and 1 sip of a sup atk, str, and a prayer pot. What i had was prossy tassets, black hide body, zammy book, whip, ardy cape 2, and fury. Basically, you just run in, put on protect from melee, and your best offensive prayers. And when she is at 1/4th health, she will call her rangers on you. At this point, you need to put on protect from range and switch to a dds to finish her off(You should do this fast, because the rangers took me down from 69HP - 37HP on their first shots). The trick is, to have a DDS to finish her off. Thus, you take less damage from both her mage and melee attacks.

05-Feb-2010 - New Items in the Online Store
HexiledRazz replied to Den's topic in General Discussion
Hmm, out of the lot, i think the ZMI is actually pretty cool =P Although i would prefer a darker red. And a zipper. I love zipper hoodies over anything else. Although the rest of the things they have in the shop is kinda meh. I like the kind of clothing that people look at and are like "What's that from...?" And then see a logo somewhere on it and think "Jagex?" or "Runescape?". Don't get me wrong, i actually love some of the things they've had in the shop. I'm actually wearing my own Bandos hoodie while typing this(I really like the design of it, and it's damn comfy). And i really like the design of the Armadyl bag.
