Is luring an acceptable practice?
Is it acceptable? My all accounts of modern moral decency, no. Decieving your fellow man for your own (or your friends, and in turn your own) is not allowed. But by Jagex's rules? Yes. Because this is the wilderness. The wilderness (within runescape only, don't start quoting Wiki at me) is a place where only one rule counts: chaos. It is the land of Zamorak, the god of Chaos. So yes, luring is allowed withing gaming rules. Luring at Dag kings? Who in their right mind would go there to trade? Any player with enough money/items worth scamming has the brains to find the knowledge database - and every member (ie, everyone at dks) can access it easily. I seriously doubt there are members who have only played through miniclip. Quite frankly, if you think that right next to Prime is good place to trade your Party Hat for 50k more than normal, you NEED to lose it, you NEED to quit, and hopefully you'll make the community better for the rest of us. I view luring as something like the Darwin Awards - those who get lured (and quit) thereby improve the userbase by removing themselves from it.

Did anyone else get hooked on RS by 'Call for Help'
Never seen that show, and the Gamesville show was rubbish. I swear the thing was paid for by sony. It didn't matter what the game was, or how bad it was, if it was on PS2 it got 5Gs (ie 5/5). Although I laughed when the grudge match on the so called 5G game collapsed because the game was that bad. And the girl with the handheld sections was... normal I suppose is the best way to describe, but all the blokes would talk about was when SONY will bing out a handheld. I hated it.

new chaos elemental translation
Maybe this bit refers to the tower in the behind the scenes? All that stuff certainly seems to be a strange method of training!

Behind the Scenes - February
Maybe I'm just easily exitable, but I like this. First quest seems interesting. Probably not difficult stats wise, but difficult mentally... maybe. The bit with Osman looks good. Theiving/agility (possibly) dungeon, with herb rewards? Like it. The Mages tower looks cool. A quest/miniquest with possible construction exp as a reward, with who knows what to train after. I like it. And the Seers thing... I have no idea. Someone mentioned Runecrafting, it's possible, but as we've already got Death, what other 'ominour rune' is there? Could be something to do with Hazeel or Iban... they're fairly near Seers Village.

Enchanted Key Bug
I have already posted this a while ago on help and advice to see if anyone knew how to fix, but no one does, and a few other people have this problem. A bug report has been sent to Jagex (a week ago at least) and I am waiting a response. This is to do with the enchanted key from the making history quest. The first few places I found easily - even got the Saradomin Mjolner (or however you spell it). The problem was when I found myself led to the lumbridge swamps. The key is steaming, but digging yields a 'nothing interesting happens' response. I have literally dug in every square I can with the steaming key, and even a few around with it just very hot. Nothing. I do not get the reward, nor does my key change it's treasure location - in short, a bug. Minor, as it's an optional mini-quest from a quest reward, but it still prevents me from doing what I want! I know a few people have this problem, but no one knows how to solve it. This is to report the bug to Tip.It, and see if anyone who doesn't go to help and advice has any ideas. I wasn't playing during Halloween 2005, so I don't have a zombie head - that shouldn't affect it . I'm not sure, but wasn't the quest released after that date anyway?

New Report abuse - with pictures - 12K Views!
I don't know if this has been posted before (and I ain't reading through 8 pages to find out), but what about a generic second screen? Instead of having things that people report for but aren't against the rules (luring is in your example), why not just use a second screen that displays the rule broken, and gives general advice about it? For instance, you click report abuse, type in their name, and select the rule. As an example, item scamming. This then brings you to a second screen, displaying the rule and saying details about what is and isn't scamming. The reporter will be asked to confirm that they still want to report the person. This would definately help reduce the amount of bogus reports that jagex recieves (such as reported for starred out words - the second screen would make it clear that that's not illegal).

The complete "Should F2P get updates?" Debate! 5,000 views!
Ok, lets put this bluntly. Despite more money coming in from F2P than P2P in total (although P2P wins per person), despite free players collecting things that lazy members can't be bothered to get, despite the free game being the main game with the members stuff originall: F2P SHOULD NOT GET UPDATES. It is not theirs by right. They do not 'deserve' it. You don't pay, you don't get. That's the rule in business. You don't like it? Nor do I! You don't think it's fair? It isn't fair! But that is the way of the world. But that isn't to say that it wouldn't be a good idea to throw F2P a bone every now and then. For example - the HAM caves. Let the F2Pers run around in there for a while. Let them see what thieving could do. Let them kill a few guards and get some useless buttons and other such items. It will be great advertisment. F2Pers will actually see what members can do (aside from it being all trapped behind a big wall), or seeing the shortcut sign in the mini map, and it could convince a lot to become members. It could also be possible to allow some areas of the Lumbridge Caves - maybe even let them see Juna (and the occasional member showing off the mini game. But telling Juna a story would be useless. She could claim she'd heard those stories (i.e. F2P quests) hundreds of times before, or that you weren't in favour with Guthix or something. But how many would become members because they can actually see the advatages they get, rather than just reading about them on the main page?

Why is "safing" bad?
While I've never been called a 'safer' I have been called many other things. While I go into the wilderness as little as possible, I still go in occasionally for some training (mainly green drags, occasionally Abyss and Black Unicorns), and I will do whatever is necessary to defend my items and me. If they don't like it, they can play another game, thank you very much. That said, I still die roughly every 8 times I'm attacked. But it always gives me a giggle to get a private message from the pure that just killed me complaining on my PM about how I forced him to eat, retreat out of the wildy to restock his food, get more prayer... and all he got was 3 unicorn horns... That would be because you followed me from Varrock, carrying 3 items, watched me kill 3 unicorns and attacked as soon as there was a chance to. #-o

Runescape's Audiance
I personally have no problem with these updates geared towards a younger generation. I'm 20 and half way through my first year of university studies. Frankly, when I sign into Runescape, I don't want to have to think. I want to have fun, I want mindless clicking, I want random jokes. In short, I want easy entertainment. Cold War was a perfect quest for me. Easy short, lots of interesting new things, complete randomness, mildly funny, and distracted me for quite some time. =D> If I was to have to puzzle out multiple different things and join them all together to make one final point, I'll go back to designing that virtual bank project that's in for next week . :-k

The language censor and banning.
And even if the words get starred out, there's no guarentee you can tell what was under it originally. E.g. '**** it!' The stars could be several words. One of which is very rude, another fairly, and others (such as dang, yet I have had star on me at one point) that are only offensive if you find words such as 'if', 'then', 'and' and 'which' offensive. Or if your of such a nervous disposition you jump at the noise your mouse makes when you click it. In either case, you shouldn't be playing RS. I think there should be a second layer to the report abuse feature, similar to the second trade screen. It should repeat the official rule in it's entirety, as well as some general advice (such as spelling out very obviously that starred words are not reportable offences). It would probably help reduce the amount of bogus and useless abuse reports Jagex recieves daily. Unless of course that function was already added a while ago, and I haven't reported abuse in that long! :-w

I thought farming S*CKS but now.... IDK
And ironically, that's what first put me off! I used so many laws those first few days (but I got to 30 really really quickly) that as soon as I hit the high scores I gave up. Now, after a rather long absense, I have developed a route that uses up the few tree seeds I have, gets some decent xp from bushes, and grants me a silly amount of herbs, all for just one law!...... and some jewllery teleports, but I have around 100 Rings of Dueling, and more Games Necklaces for charging Glory's, so it's hardly costly. And my herblaw level loves it.

I thought farming S*CKS but now.... IDK
How can you not love the free exp? I just planted a round of bushes (which are my levelling method of choice, as to get to 3 of the patches only requires 1 law), and I'm about to go have a shower, eat, drive home, drive back to Reading, check out a house I'm hoping to live in (moving up the property ladder!), and so on. When I come back my bushes will be grown. Exp for doing abolsutely nothing in game? Hell ya!

*gag* some skills I just can't get used to training..
I find all skills normally boring to train. I can never allow myself to focus solely on the one thing untill I reach a level. I have to stagger it. I think 'ok, plant these few seeds, then I can go cut a few yews, fletch em, string em and high alch em. Then I can thieve some more seeds.' I can never just focus on the one thing. Runecrafting is my eternal nightmare, as I never seem to have enough Natures, yet nor can I be afford to buy them or be bothered to make them.

The Lair of Tarn Razorlor
Hehe, just seen the skeletons down edgeville dungeon. The skeletons themselves look awesome, but so out of place compared to the brightly colour orange/brown walls! :P

The Lair of Tarn Razorlor
This mini game / challenge / dungeon / mini quest or whatever it is looks cool. So it's basically an excuse to kill a load of monsters, bank some interesting stuff (and potentially new items) and get 5000 slayer exp at the end? Oh, and the hint that no one will be able to map it could well mean it's a random dungeon (unlike barrows, where the mini maps just blanked)? Count me in!

What happened to the hype of necromancy?
erm, wasn't prayer originally called necromancy?

Private Servers
Surely they'd be worthless anyway? Any advantage your gain (ie higher levels) would be negated as it wouldn't affect your proper stats?
-
I got hacked or what???? connection lost and lost stuff?
That's odd. Obviously a lagging glitch, but how I'm not so sure. Maybe you 'died' to the hand while lagging, so you lost the items, but because the lag was so great it 'forgot' to send you to lumbridge?

Delrith help!!
Well, I recommend getting your combat up a tad first. A good tip is to pick a busy world, there's always some randoms killing the wizards for some reason (why I have no idea) and kill Delrith then. Take the best food you can get and just keep bashing away.

Best barrows for PC
highest strength bonus you can get, don't bother with barrows. And what's wrong with the D scim? Hits as fast as a whip, but trains strength. I'm not seeing anything wrong with it...

pouches
just remember that you can only get one of each. If you already have a full set and are trying for more it'll never happen :(
