How many SC Hammers for 264k exp?
Hi, I'm training Construction from 65 to 70 using oak larders, and I was wondering how many SC Hammers I needed for about 264,000 experience. Thanks.

wait wait, heavy armour mages?
Mages need more holding time, spells that push opponents back, spells that provide temporary shields, spells that unequipped items, and spells that chain hit. For example: Say a spell that starts out at a low max hit, but casting that spell consecutively raises the max hit by a certain percentage every time. We can dream.

New F2P Skill
I'm still crossing my fingers for some sort of bard or music skill. WARNING, THE FOLLOWING COMMENT IS ME CLUTCHING AT STRAWS AND WISPS OF AIR: In Blood Runs Deep, the prince is tasked with playing music to bolster the spirits of the fighters as they battle the Dagannoth Kings. I think that'd be a great use for a music skill. Have a guy stand outside Zilyana's room playing a tune that doubles everyone's run energy restore rate.

Mint Cakes
Mint cakes =/= Spinach Roll. As Me_Hate_Libs said: Yes, mint cakes are just like spinach rolls used to be. I remember getting them as drops from Moss Giants and thinking, "I can't believe people actually try and pass these off as rares." Well, nowadays I most certainly can believe it. Mint cakes are utterly [developmentally delayed]ed, and I can't wait till Jagex changes Gnome Delivery and makes them common items.

Update of the Year?
LIke I said sorry if I missed a few up, the rc update was terrible imo and killed 91 rc Yea,imo that update would be perfect if it included triple natures and double death/bloods.Better rune supply and an incentive to go past 91 runecrafting. win-win? It really pisses me off that they didn't apply the update to every rune instead of just natures, astrals, cosmics. <_<

Fixing Combat(Total Combat Nerf)
FYI, NPCs operate under the same combat system that we do. It WOULD mess things up. However, I do think that a combat overhaul would be a good thing. I'd like see combat levels be a representation of ALL of your combat skills, not just melee (assuming maxed combat). The problem with your thread is that haven't given us any solutions to discuss.

Farming Abyssal Demons
If you're camping, stick to the tower. Leave the abyssal plane alone for slayers. I've almost never run into campers there. Of course, now that I use Kuradal, your camping doesn't affect me, but try and be courteous to people who actually need to be there.

Ancient Curses: Sap X
The curses instantly affect whatever you're fighting, gradually reducing stats further over time. If you stop attacking a monster, the initial 10% drain is lost, but the monster will keep whatever further decreases it was given during the fight.

Ancient Curses: Sap X
It also makes your combat familiars more accurate against the monster you're fighting.

92 Slayer, 82 Prayer, IRL news, future goals.
Greetings and salutations. Tomorrow morning my girlfriend and I will be heading down South to our hometown for Christmas. Because I wont be coming back till nearly January, and because I'll be extremely busy catching up with friends, relatives, etc, I wont have any time to play Runescape for the next two weeks. That said, I thought it'd be in my best interest to post my most recent accomplishments while outlining my future plans for RS. The first is 92 Slayer, which I managed to achieve about two weeks ago. I'm currently around 200k experience from 93, so I figured that I'd set my next Slayer goal at 95. I'll also be getting 99 HP and, hopefully, 92 Summoning. I've found the Geyser Titan to be by far the best combat familiar I've had yet (which makes plenty of sense, as it's the highest level combat familiar I can use). It's, in my opinion, miles ahead of the Swamp Titan. I've also found the unicorn to be incredibly helpful in everyday 'scaping, including quests such as Blood Runs Deep where it kept me very much alive the whole time. The second is 82 Prayer. I had originally wanted 80 as it was my only combat stat below that, but three or four days after making it my goal, Temple at Senntisten came out and I decided that Leech Strength would be beneficial, so I went for 82. Blood Runs Deep got me the last 450k experience that I needed while saving me a pretty hefty chunk of cash. From hereon I'll probably be spending the majority of my money on Herblore and Prayer, needing 85 and 92, respectively. I've decided that getting 100 rank in MA is not worth the lost time at this point in my Runescape career. I'll definitely be getting 300 sometime after maxing combat and Slayer, but it's an unnecessary diversion right now. I'm still going for all 70+, needing only a couple more Runecrafting levels and 9 Construction levels to get there. A few days ago I hit the 1,900 total level milestone, but I feel that it's a bit low for my combat level (130), so I didn't bother taking a picture or anything. I wont be getting 2,000 total for a long, long time. After completing my skilling goal of all 70+, I will only train Agility, Herblore, Firemaking, and maybe Construction on my way to 99 Slayer. I can't think of any other skill that's worth doing till then. These plans may change should Jagex release extreme potion equivalents for other skills. I want Agility for the Kuradal's dungeon shortcuts, Herblore for extreme potions, Firemaking because I like it and I want an adze, and Construction for my own gilded altar. (It's a pain in the [wagon] trying to find altars to use.) So, to sum things up (as I'm unnecessarily wordy at times), my current goals are: All skills 70+ 95 Slayer 99 HP 92 Summoning 92 Prayer 85 Herblore It's possible that I may post them as I reach them, but we'll see. I'm not totally sure if I'll be able to accumulate enough money from 96 to 99 HP to afford 92 Prayer and 85 Herblore. I make the vast majority of my money through Slayer, so I'm banking on Kuradal's penchant for giving me profitable tasks while still trying to slay as fast as possible, as I've always done. Thanks for reading, Morningrise333 / Obtaurian EDIT: Just for giggles, I'm going to start counting how many Dark Beasts I can kill before I get my first bow drop. I've killed roughly 3,000 since getting 90 Slayer, the vast majority of those being after Kuradal's release. I've yet to have a dark bow.

Lapolak
Lapalok can never truly replace Duradel.

Dragon slayer gloves
Barrows gloves are far better against higher level dragons than dragon slayer gloves. They're not worth getting unless you enjoy playing FOG and it's something you do often. If you do get them, just use them for the last hit so you get double experience, like a poster above said.
- Kuradal, my new Slayer master.

Great level, and I love your bank. Especially that arcane.

Prices for looks? Really?
I have yet to see a single valid argument from you. All you keep saying is, "HURR DURR U DUMB?1"

Lapalok or Kuradal
On the topic of dark beasts, I don't think cannoning them is cost efficient at all, so I slay them in the dungeon. This coming from a guy who uses a cannon on everything.

Dragonfire shield
Herb is not useful until very high levels, so buying resellable armors until the point where one can actually get to those herb levels is reasonable. Your point is true about prayer though, and DFS is indeed overrated. 85 is not a very high level, and anyone who has money to buy a DFS, even temporarily, can afford 85 Herblore (or 82 using ales.)
-
Dragonfire shield
I completely agree with Stonewall. If you're a slayer and you have 85 Herblore, the ONLY reason to own a DFS is for wyvern tasks, which just isn't worth the 30m+ price tag. 30m can buy a lot of dragon bones, summoning seconds, and herblore supplies, and it's much better to put it to use there. For slayers, spending money on Bandos and a DFS before prayer or herblore is totally idiotic and counterproductive.

Prices for looks? Really?
Think about this: Not everyone in the game trains combat, and not everyone is interesting in combat. Items like gnome goggles, scarves, berets, canes, etc, are for those players. They don't need full Bandos or an Arcane Spirit Shield. They don't have anything to spend money on other than looking pretty or whatever, so why not? I don't see items being expensive for looks as a bad thing. Personally, I'll take effectiveness over good looks any day, but I don't tilt my head when I see someone wearing a gnome scarf while slaying. Which is a true story, by the way. And, actually, I did tilt my head. I even said, "what the [bleep]?" out loud to myself.
