One thing that I will miss is teleport/one-item penalties. In the old wildy, there was no penalty at all for one-iteming or teleporting. So I predict we'll see a bunch of new one-itemers with claws/AGS, as well as everybody being a teletubby without a second thought about it. People still teleported frequently in BH Worlds, but they were penalized for it. With old PKing being brought back and you getting whatever your opponent drops, there will be no penalty for teleporting at the first sign that you're losing a fight. And before someone says "dats wut TB iz fer", I'd like to see someone successfully solo hybrid with normal spells.

You'd be surprised how many Abyss PKers used to use top-notch gear like Ahrims and whips. I fully expect to see many with Arcane/Divines as well as claws. They'd just use protect from melee to make sure nobody could spec them out.

You sure it was a deflect hit? If so, that's a bug. To deflect over a 200+, you'd need to be hit around 2k. The most you'd ever deflect is around an 80-90, and that's against TzTok-Jad.

Whats the point... Lol. They already have more than 900k yes votes, they can't say no to that. It is already planned for release within a week of the end of the referendum (as stated in the January 3rd Just The Facts in the pmod forum, don't believe it if you don't want to but it is true) and is in development. I personally can't wait. The number of 1 itemers in the wilderness will be tiny, everyone will be scared of losing their AGS :) Don't even bother responding to ililili. He's just a troll, ignore him.

I'd strongly suspect that you don't have children. If you did, you'd appreciate the heartbreak that a child endures when his items are basically stolen from him. As a parent, it's gut-wrenching to discover that some douchebag has scammed your child out of items he worked so hard to acquire. This is one of the reasons I don't want "free-trade" back. Though my children are all older and wiser now there is a large population of children playing the game who will be taken advantage of by people who consider earstwhile unconscionable acts as valid game tactics, because they can hide their truly despicable nature behind a computer screen ... So, you'd rather them learn this lesson in real life? Instead of with unimportant virtual items they'll get over with within a day at most? I don't know if you realize this, but if you get scammed IRL, the consequence are usually much worse then loosing a set of rune armor in a game. Actually, yes, I would rather they learned it in real life. That way they will realise that actions have real consequences, and they'll be less inclined to 'scam' others themselves. And people play games to escape from real life and its problems. They don't play video games to learn life skills.

It would be beneficial in more ways than one if they released it with the Nex update. 1) His drops could immediately be sold at PLAYER SET prices, none of this "waiting four months for the GE to catch up" in the event of semi-rare items, or "having to junk trade for ever and ever because the GE will NEVER catch up" in the case of very rare items like sigils. 2) PKing will divert some of the attention away from people swarming Nex, making it a little less frustrating trying to get a kill. 3) Releasing both at the same time would divert attention away from the inevitable bugs present with either update.

nty, the game is already idiot-proof enough :thumbdown: Obviously, you are not an idiot, so would not need to use such devices. As such, what's the problem with including something you can choose to opt out of? It's not like it's for your opponents, as a non-idiot like you would not duel with idiots that would need such devices either. Because seeing things like these makes me feel like I'm playing club penguin. It's already bad enough having the ditch, trade screen, warning signs everywhere, etc. And you can't 'opt out' for any of these. My first thought to somebody who says that scam-proofing a feature is "kiddifying" the game is that you may be one of the ones who wanted to take advantage of others' stupidity. The whole "its the victim's fault and they should learn the hard way" BS.

Inb4 our resident troll. :wall: People make those names to deliberately be deceptive, especially for the purposes of staking. Having a name like that makes it nigh impossible for someone to look up your stats, giving you a big advantage. Also, a common trick is to have two accounts with very similar names which are also the same combat level. You start talking to the person you want to duel on one account with crappy stats and then quickly switch accounts and claim a DC or something. Then you duel the person with a very powerful pure account and wipe the floor with them. Also, having a name like ililillili or o0oo0o0o makes it hard to report people when they swear and lure and [cabbage].

This, and also in Old PKing, these absurdly powerful spec weapons didn't exist. AGS existed, but it was too expensive at the time to see any kind of regular use.

Depends if Jagex "lets the other shoe fall" with the Free Trade/Wild update, such as selling their own gold for dirt cheap to take any profitability out of RWT companies. I'd quit in a heart-beat if Jagex started doing micropayments with RS. I'm also close to taking a vacation from RS as it is; I find myself often logging on and asking what I should do, then logging off a few minutes later.

There's some talk on RSC that certain clans may be responsible for DDoSing Jagex's servers. Take that with a grain of salt, just thought I'd mention it. More likely is that the game has gotten so big that it can't handle the stress of all the players and the data both. We all know how cheap Jagex is, so it wouldn't come as a surprise to me if they were using out-dated hardware.

And because the other will be part of GWD instead of some new area with a grandmaster quest required to access it, it will be too crowded to be any fun.

So what does the herb change mean? What changed? Also, the new grave is a redesigned Angel of Death? How [bleep]ing lame. This would have been a good opportunity to introduce a better grave.

Also, if people belong to a group that gets stereotyped and they don't like it, they should break the mould and act like respectful, sensible people instead of perpetuating the stereotype. I already do, thank you very much. And so do alot of others. Too bad you can only see the bad side because you automatically filter out all the normal PKers around. Don't worry, it's common. I have actually seen the good side; I've been a part of a few different PKing clans (including a couple top 5 clans) over the years, and most of those people are really nice. It's just unfortunate that people like the OP give other PKers a bad name. And I will admit that I was wrong to lump all PKers in the bad group, and for that I apologize.
