  1. If you're Catholic, then you'll know the purpose of marriage is for two to become one flesh - i.e. procreation. It takes a man and a woman to preform the conjugal act, it can't be preformed by a man and a man or a woman and a woman. You'll also know as a Catholic that if you're gay, you're still called to be chaste, just like any heterosexual. This means if you're not married, you're not being impure or looking at impure materials. It also means that you're not having relations with anyone. If you're married, you're still called to be chaste. As in, sex is for procreation, so using contraception is sinful. It also means that you're to accept any children as blessings (not killing them), and to not have extramarital affairs. It also means that you're not to get divorced all willy-nilly (til death do you part). You already knew that though, because you're a devout Catholic. Equal protection under the law means that civil unions should enjoy the exact same benefit as marriage, but it doesn't have to be called marriage, and it shouldn't be called marriage. Right now, there's nothing illegal about being in a civil union. There's nothing to legalize. My priest told me that if the state recognized marriage as the union between two individuals, that the church would probably separate itself entirely from the legal process - getting married in the church would no longer make your marriage legally recognized, and vice-versa (making it a pain in the neck to get married as a Catholic). @Nick_6464 You're intolerant, and you're just as bad as those who "hate gays for being gay". Just because you support the gay side doesn't mean you get a free pass on intolerance.
  2. Does this mean they would be answering more questions, by extending the time they have to answer them?
  3. Majority of reasons are about money, but that's why I made sure to include at least one that wasn't. There's laws about discrimination, but there's no laws against the KKK getting together to have hate rallies. And even if there was, you might never change their hearts or minds. Its the same way with this issue, and trying to pretend otherwise is just being obtuse.
  4. Why do people want Gay Marriage? Over the past 50 years, legislatures have worked hard to give benefits to the nuclear family - a mom, a dad, and kids. Tax benefits. Not having to testify against your spouse. Insurance benefits. Inheritance laws from wills. The list goes on; these rules have developed slowly. If gays are able to be married, they get all of these privileges in one fell swoop. As much as they hate to say it, Its about money. Of course everyone will say "We want equal protection under the law", or "We want the respect of others". Naming it marriage won't give you that. Newsflash, there are still bigots who are racist. It isn't illegal to be racist. Calling it marriage might not make it acceptable in everyone's eyes. Some people like to use the phrase - "You can't legislate morality" -- they'll usually use that argument when relating abortion to prohibition. As much as I hate that statement, it is to some extent true - you can't make a person believe things are right or wrong. But here's a phrase that's even better - You can't legislate respect. edit:changed rights to privileges.
  5. The institution of marriage has increasingly become more and more trash over the past 10 years. And its not just gays wanting to marry, its divorce, its premarital relations, its extramarital affairs, impure materials to impure actions. I wonder how long it'll take for someone to try and marry their dog. Probably in 20 years. Sorry if my beliefs aren't popular. No, actually, I don't apologize that my beliefs aren't popular, because I'm saddened that they're not. And don't try to tell me that I'm just intolerant, ignorant, or prejudiced. You who are politically correct offend me. Anyhow, you know why the Supreme Court ruled that the court dialogues weren't to be put on YouTube? It's because they feared for the safety and the well being of those who testified. Keep that in mind if you chose to reply to me; I'd hate to see the highest court in the land be right for once.
  6. F2p could use a couple boss monsters. I would not mind seeing the KBD or this Giant Mole thingy as F2P. Higher level bones might be a welcome addition to F2P, but another solution would be make it drop 2 big bones instead of 1 dragon bones (or something like that). It might also be a good idea to rework the drop table, so the KBD doesn't become something like the hellhound in the volcano - completely useless for anything. As far as d'hide is concerned, and other P2P only items - limps are dropped by many things, but are pretty much useless in F2P (unless you go to the apothecary, but money is lost and no experience is gained, and time is wasted). If these items became F2P but had no purpose, and could still be dropped, I don't think anyone would complain. I'd enjoy a challenge, and with the current stats of F2P armour, it would be a challenge.
  7. Its aboot time that canada got these cards, its a real shame to see our northern neighbors get left out, eh.
  8. Qeltar, I hate to attack you personally, but you're being a bit of a hypocrite. You're telling us that this individual has a problem because they're addicted to runescape, but I look at your signature and I can't help but notice "Qeltar, aka Charles Kozierok Webmaster, RuneScoop - Premium RuneScape Information for Expert Players Featuring the best guide to making money on RuneScape, with over 450 methods and variations fully explained!" [sarcasm] How much time and effort did you put into that? You seriously need to get help... you're spending too much time with runescape. 200m total xp in runescape is just too much, running a premium website that supplies the best information takes too much time. You need a social life, not one with runescape. I bet you're jealous because you've logged in for 500 days, and you know you'll never ever ever catch up. You have no excuse for any of that. GF nerd. [/sarcasm] I don't know you at all, just like you don't know this person at all. So quit judging them, and I'll quit judging you.

    No updates?

so catch up on all the other new content you haven't tried out yet, or take a few hours to grind your favorite skill. Even one update a week is a pretty major accomplishment for a complex game like runescape, and I think we've all come to expect too much from jagex.
  10. To everyone that has posted about how this person must have *no life* - you made me lol a little. Its like the pot is calling the kettle black. Look at the facts - you've played runescape at least once, you're posting on a forum about runescape, and yet you're still telling us how this person has less of a life than you? Also, as far as people saying "I couldn't live with myself if I knew I played that much" - if you keep logging into runescape, you're coming closer still to breaking that record. I'm not sure if I've ever had a day we're I've played more than 8 hours of runescape. I'm usually pretty fidgetty about the internets, and one thing won't keep me entertained for more than about 3 hours. I think the longest period of time in which I've been logged in for is around 6 hours straight, and that was in my early strength grind. Recently I've been logged in more and more, but I'm always multitasking, so about 1/2 my time is spent concentrating on different things. On Topic: I'm not sure if this record is *fair* in the fact that there are many many more games on the internet, however they don't track your times like Jagex likes to do. I'm pretty sure there are games online that other people like and play just as much, but they don't log times. Regardless of whatever anyone says, 700 days is alot. I wonder why they didn't give an exact amount, along with a date- or the account. Gratz on the record.
  11. GOP is one of my favorite minigames, making Runecrafting one of my top favorite skills. I enjoy how fast crafting can be when you're willing to spend a little money. I hate how slow and costly F2P prayer is... the clicking gives me nightmares. I also dislike range with a passion, until a week ago it was my lowest leveled skill.
  12. if you can survive for something like 15 minutes, they become non-aggressive. For mining you might never have 15 minutes before you bank... but its handy to know if you're doing something like, range or mage, and you want to safe spot 'em.
  13. 73 runecrafting. 1k ess crafted into 7403 air runes. 3702 the first 1/2, 3701 the second. EDIT: 73 runecrafting. 1k ess crafted into 4518 water runes 2250 waters the first 1/2, 2268 waters the second.
  14. <sarcasm>Fishing is related to smithing because it is right below it on your stats page. Cooking is also related to smithing because it is also on the stats page..</sarcasm> you guys fail.
  15. so buy a membership card from amazon, or some other place like that? Shouldn't be too bad.

My point was that it must have been building up for a while... something must've set his 'rents off.
  17. suprise! i'm on the list. Some things to set you at ease: Even if he had EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR PASSWORDS, in 24 hours, there would NOT BE ENOUGH TIME TO DO ANYTHING MEANINGFUL. Also, to make matters worse for this nub, there are F2P and P2P players - meaning if you're currently F2P, he won't have much success trying to log into a P2P world, and vice versa. The only thing that bugs me is that at one point in time, I used the same password for many sites. I've since stopped that practice, but there are a few places that i'm still doubled up. Time to change my email's password.

One thing that I have learned about parents, in all my time, is the fact when they do something like that was because nothing else got through. I'm sure if we planted a microphone on your computer, something like the WoW drama kid could've unfolded. To prevent this in the future, be more responsive. When they tell you to turn the computer off, begin shutting it down immediately. Not one more minute, not ten more seconds, shut it down immediately. If you can turn it off as fast as possible, then they're more likely to believe you when you ask for two more minutes. How was the stew?
  19. I noticed this while in Lady H's chat one time, I leveled mining from 77 to 78. I said my level in chat, clicked the ore, then pressed f11. By the time I closed the achievement thingy, I noticed my message wasn't there because of people spamming their levels (even in the very short time it took me to mine to level). No one said gratz, and that was the first time i've experienced that from Tip.it. It was kind of frustrating, actually. So, gratz. You deserve recognition, on your journey to max'd. You only get to a certain level once (or twice on a different acct if you're crazy). Just know that when playing runescape and gaining experience, you're competing against yourself, no one else. Your levels are your own personal accomplishment, and they should be accomplishment enough.
  20. Yep, this has been going on for a while. Makes mind easier than earth, i've seen games where teams get 30+.... GOP is the buggiest minigame ever.
  21. I read the first couple of posts, skipped the flaming, and thought I'd add my two cents: I don't like that Jagex seems to be indifferent between the F2P total and the P2P total. While 1000 total may be very high for pure F2P, 1000 is nothing for a P2Per. This problem is the same for a P2P player coming into a F2P world - the majority of their skill total can easily come from P2P only. Jagex has tried to minimize the P2P advantage in F2P, by not only removing nearly all references between the two games, but by also removing agility's effect. I think the easiest solution is to put an arbitrary minimum level in each skill, say 50, and then a total. 1000 is fine for F2P, 1600 is fine for P2P, but don't mix and match the different levels. As to whether or not this creates elitism - who cares? As of right now, there are only 2 of these worlds. I understand that Jagex might want to put in more of them. If it starts getting too out of hand (riots, rants, etc.) then Jagex will be very responsive. Over this past year there have been a number of times where they actually listened to player feedback, and changed the game because of it. Also, when I've been in the F2P skill total world, I found there were a lot more questioning of levels. This happened all over, and frankly it got annoying. There was much less begging for 5k, but I rarely get that anymore anyway.
  22. My stats: 92 str 65 atk 51 def It seems that's the order of how important I think they are, at least for what I do in runescape.
  23. Hai kitty :D I wouldn't call this a hidden update, more like a patch. What I want to know is if Jagex is overhauling gop, and this was a temporary fix until they implement the new system. I can only get my hopes up.
  24. You can no longer perform certain emotes while in the runecrafting guild lobby. This is to prevent the six - orb glitch, which if you're not familiar with, you can find it detailed in several places, including the bugs and suggestions forum. I've ranted many times as to how buggy GOP is, and it seems they finally did something (albeit small, and one specific issue). Why haven't I seen it in the patch notes for the past few updates (the update was put in effect about 2 weeks ago)? Could it be that they're overhauling GOP (I'm getting my hopes up), or the fact that the fix is a temporary fix, and that they don't want it to be the permanent solution? Or, could it be that I missed it in the patch notes? Someone help me out?
  25. There is only one solution that will stop price manipulators in their tracks. Jagex can freeze the prices of every single item in game. Is this what you want? I hope not. Is this what will happen? I doubt it As long as there is a demand for experience, prices will remain high. Your best bet is to take your GP and put it to work, working for itself. Investing isn't hard to understand, and in runescape, the risk seems to be much less than IRL. If you can't beat them, join them. Better yet, beat them at their own game. Price manipulators are in it for the short haul.... investing is in it for the long haul. Pick an item that was recently dumped. Buy it up. Hoard it. Next time it gets manipulated, help the manipulators get what they want - that item at a higher price.
