  1. I'm a Russian. I was born there and was adopted by a family in Florida, where I live. I'm not a soviet. I'm a fervent capitalist. I'm fairly benign and not all that evil. I can be bad though. Very bad. :^_^:
  2. First of all, this would be speculation. All of the stuff about the Staff. As of right now, nothing is set. First off, even though the GoA may believe he created it, maybe Armadyl didn't create the Staff, but found it. If you only play FoG you might be led to believe that Guthix created the Stone of Jas. The other thing is that we don't know exactly what the Staff does. We know the Stone of Jas is a source of power, but we don't know if the Staff is as well. If anything, it appears the Staff is a power conduit. Something that is capable of transferring great power. If someone has both, like Lucien has now and people think Zammy has had, you could use them together and do it properly. We also know so little that Armadyl could be an Elder God and these two items are meant to be used in conjuction.
  3. I'll say that they are a governing body over a game, but no, nothing close to a government.
  4. Strangely enough when you fracture your wrist and dislocate your shoulder the urge to pee seems a lot less important. I eventually went at the hospital. And no to the Hydro. They have me on a really weak morphine due to allergy issues. I say weak because as a small person, I don't need much more.
  5. What? Not willing to call me a lesbian on here so you gotta call me "L?" I told you I'm bi and I date girls, but not guys, so lay off the L stuff and call me Katya mmmkay?
  6. MC, you didn't get a chance to snipe me in my new Explorer outfit now that I gots muh Pith helmet. Oh well.
  7. On the plus side, the pills made me all loopy so I have fun today. :)
  8. Maybe you have to reunite Shanty Clause with his family? And they need you to light a giant bonfire for them to melt the dragon, but you don't have any logs and only have a tinderbox and the bowl of beans they gave you. :)
  9. ZOMG. Call the content team RIGHT NOW! That's an AWESOME idea for a Christmas Wintumber event! Santa Claus's sled breaks and he needs to use a gnome glider zomg it's perfect! \:D/ (Kidding. But it is a funny image.) ZOMG you're right. A bunch of jerks obessesed with Sailing couldn't wait so they attacked Shanty Claws and stole his ship so they could sail it. So we have to design a high capability Gnome Glider to handle all the presents and the Ice Dragon tries to stop us, but luckily we fight him by lighting our farts on fire and melting him.
  10. Yes, the GoA were involved in that quest and in the Ikov one, but as far as Gods go, he is extremely limited. If anything comes of it, it'll be far into the future.
  11. No, I don't think it has been forgotten. I think their perespective is that Armadyl was a God in Runescape, but has left due to past history. We might explore some of the past in the future, but I don't think we'll have anything new to add to the story.
  12. That is because new content has been scaled back in both size, scale, depth, playability, etc. But hey, we got upgrades, so yay... <_<
  13. So Saturday night started out fun. Was hanging with this new girl, watched Funny People of DVD, did some other stuff, and then fell asleep in bed. Well I wake up a couple of hours later because I had to pee. Really, really, bad. So I had to rush out of my bedroom to hit the bathroom at the end of the hall. I race down the hall and hang a right so I can head into my bathroom. Only it wasn't my bathroom. I wasn't at my house, I was at this girls house and in her house the bathroom is to the left, so I totally missed the step-up that their is to the right that goes into the kitchen. And I crashed. Hard. A combo arm jamming and a deflected faceplant. Injuries: Broken nose, cracked tooth, broken left wrist, and a dislocated left shoulder. So I'm typing this with my right hand and it's taking forever. I am on some painkillers and playing Runescape so I guess I could be worse. In fact, I swear I'm flying. Eagle!
  14. Yeah, Shant Claws could make a return and if this hint is for Christmas update, it's likely going to involve/start with him near some water. If only they knew what Sailing would become they'd have made Shanty Claws a gliding gnome... <_<

    Why?

All I know I can't sell a damn Coconut to save my life and it pisses me off.

    Why?

Actually the people who buy low and sell high are merchants. This does not however mean they are people specifically attempting the manipulation of one or a group of predetermined items.
  17. We talking here doesn't contribute to society or community either. We slaughtering others in PvP worlds are wasting their hours of effort training to get cash to buy their armor or whatever. I could go on with tons of examples, but you get the point. People are selfish. Most don't give a damn about "contributing to society". Most companies or other organisations donate to charities not sincerely but just to boost their public image. I'm selfish too, but I do rational self-interest. I get seeds from monster drops, plant thenm, harvest herbs, make pots, sell the pots. People get my pots, I get a buttload of cash. That is what I am talking about as far as contribution. But when someone buys some herbs, then sells them for more, and keeps the cash, and that's it, I don't think this does anything for anyone. The difference is other people benefit from my selfishness, but not from the merchanters. After reading this discussion, I have to agree with every point you have made. Who? --- I've already said nobody gives a damn for contributing to society. Tell me - is your main intention of selling pots to get money and exp or to really "contribute" to society? Obviously to get the cash. And that is not "contributing" to society. Anyhow, even if Jagex deems that merchants don't contribute to society whereas players do, what can they do about it? If people want to buy low sell high, let them. Everyone buys a house, then sells it a few years or more later for a profit (as far as possible anyway). Governments aren't doing a thing to block these people who don't "contribute to society". No, no one does. I don't give a damn about contributing to society. What I said though was my version of selfishness helps myself and other people while merchanting helps no one else but themselves. I like that I'm able to help other people though I will always help myself first. I consider this to be more moral than merchanting. I don't think they can do anything about it. I don't think they should do anything about it. I said that on December the 11th. I don't think it should be against the law. I don't approve, but that's a personal opinion. I also don't think there is any apt comparison between Jagex and a government so I'm confused how you made that leap. But if we take your example, I'll put forth this. If someone buys property, does nothing, and sell it for more, I don't find it all that immoral or moral. I simply wouldn't do it. If they buy something because they think it'll be worth more in the future, that is different as well. What I do like is someone like Jeff Lewis from that Bravo show "Flipping Out." He'd buy a house, fix it up very nice, and sell it for a profit. He'd make a profit, he'd fix up some property, people would buy the property and have a nice house, it all works out great.
  18. I'd rather have it than fleching. True. Not like those extra levels means you'll screw up less bows/arrows.
  19. First article: I personally don't find the system for future content hints/spoilers/whatever to not be as good as BTS. I don't think the blogs are often enough, I find the twitter hints lackluster, and the PBFTH along with the blogs are inconsistent at best. I don't think the substitute for the BTS adequately fills the void it has left, but that's just my opinion. Second article: Why? I started because I had an excess of free time. Girls didn't like me because I was too much like a guy. Guys didn't like me because I busted their um, gentleman's bits. So they didn't like that. And at that time, I dated girls. I still date girls. Well in highschool girls do that BS bisexual kick, but none of them actually wanted a relationship with a girl, so I couldn't get a girlfriend. So I played Runescape. It was never a big thing for me though. After 7+ years of playing my highest skill is level 93 hits/defense. I don't have time for a 99. I don't have the patience. So I at least have some sense of detachment to the game.
  20. I have an issue with the deflect curses at the moment. It seems that the little animations cause you to stop running when you get hit so they can trigger. It's not a big deal if you're somehwere where everything is trying to melee you, but if you're doing something like Deflecting Magic in the Ancient Cavern trying to set up the new Fairy Ring and it's letting the dragon hit you with melee because the prayer is casuing you to not run then it kinda sucks. They need to fix that.
  21. This has been lost in the shuffle of the graves, but I think all the God technically sapeaking how the power to destroy Gielinor, but no one wanted to do this and they merely fought for control of it. The reason why Guthix wasn't challenged is because he would destroy it before he'd let them take it over or let their fighting destroy it instead. They knew he'd do it so they all backed down. It's kind of a funny argument though, "If you guys don't stop fighting and destroying Gielinor I'm going to destroy Gielinor." Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.

  23. Yeah, every year make one of the big three(Easter, Christmas, Halloween) holday events a quest. I mean over 6 years they would only add 2 holiday quests and so it won't seem like their is an overabbundance of them.
  24. To Quel I want to repeat, I don't approve of it. I don't view it as anything that should be against the rules, I simply don't personally find it right. All they do it collect other people's money. They contribute nothing to the community whatsoever.
