Should pure ess and rune ess be re-combined as one?
Well, the biggest upheaval would be mainly for the people with thousands and thousands of ess in their bank already; that is, runecrafters. I say "tremendous economic upheaval" because it will cause drastic and permanent changes in the prices of some of the game's most commonly-traded items. Lots of people would be negatively affected by such a change and lose a lot of money (I myself would lose the equivalent of an abyssal whip if pure essence dropped 50%), so it's undesirable to cause a disturbance of that scale. It's justifiable in plenty of cases, but I see no advantage gained by this particular change. Sure, maybe it never should have been changed in the first place, but changing it back after so long only compounds the error. I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't see the problem with the status quo. Why do we need a change at all?

Crimson charm
You'll probably want a bunyip before you go to waterfiends with your defence where it is. I suggest fighting dust devils (with a combat familiar) until 68 summoning, then switching to waterfiends when you reach 68.

Is a terrorbird a must to get an adze?
The chop speed of the adze is exactly identical to the dragon axe. The difference is that it incinerates 30% of the logs you cut, which means it takes more logs to fill your inventory, which means you get faster experience. Oh, and you get firemaking experience for the logs it burns. Also, it doubles as a rune pickaxe, if a shooting star lands next to you or something.

Penance gloves
Probably not worth it, per se. Since negative weight affects run energy exactly the same as zero weight, they're only really useful for runecrafting, and you'd need to do a hell of a lot of runecrafting for the savings in super energies to make up for the time spent on Barbarian Assault. That said, out of all the Barbarian Assault rewards, they're easily the most useful, so if you're gonna get something with your points, get Penance Gloves. They're one of the cheaper rewards anyway.

Ways to get to a charter ship?
I'm pretty sure the absolute fastest way is the Lunar teleport to Catherby. But I usually use Camelot teleport, since it lets me stop by the herb patch, which is something I'm usually happy to do anyway.

Should pure ess and rune ess be re-combined as one?
I once had this point of view, that Jagex should not screw with the market, but I abandoned it after the granite update. The price of granite (500g) had stabilized to a very acceptable 900-1000 gp each which was consistent with other summoning seconds at similar levels. It also provided a somewhat decent profit to mining, an otherwise boring and slow skill. Suddenly they decided to allow bigger granite chunks to be split up into smaller ones. This effectively made the price of every single size of granite crash. Summoners now used nothing but granite lobster pouches, which in turn crashed the already unstable market on them. Miners now had nothing to entice them to train except already meager profits in coal, mithril, and adamant until runite. This was a very bad decision marketwise but they went ahead and did it, so I think that sets a precedent for this situation. If everyone is dead set against merging them, then perhaps f2p should be allowed to mine pure essence. A new NPC would be created a decent distance from a bank that would teleport players to a new essence mine. You would still need 30 mining to extract the pure essence. F2P runecrafters and miners would benefit from this. P2P runecrafters and mages would benefit as well. The only problem would be people trying to merchant essence (but like I said they had already set a precedence with granite) and p2p essence miners, but seriously, there are MANY better ways to make money in p2p and the excess time can easily make up for meager mining exp gained. The case of granite is certainly a relevant one to bring up; however, it differs from the case of essence in that its primary purpose was not to tamper with the market, but to give a use to what had previously been worthless hunks of granite. It was illogical to begin with that small chunks of granite should be worth something, but large chunks should be worth nothing. The granite update took something that was counterintuitive and changed it to a model that makes more sense. In contrast, while there is clearly something out of whack with having a 500g granite rock worth more than a 5kg granite rock, there's nothing so awful about requiring higher-level essence for higher-level runes. I don't have a problem with Jagex messing with the economy, but they shouldn't do it for no reason.

~~ 99 Woodcutting Guide ~~ COMPLETED!!
Cutting maples to use for firemaking is still a horrible idea. The correct log to cut if you want to train firemaking is teaks. Teaks are much faster experience and the exact same profit; thus, for firemaking, they are strictly better than maples. If you didn't want to burn on the spot, the correct choice would be to cut eucs and sell them later to buy maples, because chopping maples is still a waste of time and money.

Mechanics Of Wcing And How It Can Help U Get Logs Faster
No, this is exactly the myth this topic is trying to dispel. That's simply not how it works.

Evil Tree
The thing is, see, willows are the only tree where it matters. Oaks and maples and normals are crap to begin with, and yews and magics you barely ever need to bank anyway.
-
Void or Fighter Torso?
I disagree. If you like BA, the thing to get is level-ups in BA roles. Fighter Torso is a waste of points.
-
Evil Tree
Yeah, the best thing to cut is willows. They're right next to a teleport, so you don't waste time on transportation, and they're the fastest xp you can get with the autobanking.

No more freeloading in Fishing Trawler
Here's something that's long overdue. I didn't see this being discussed, and I thought it deserved its own thread. From the "Game Updates FAQ - 19/05/09" on RSOF, Quick find code: 15-16-541-58855656: In other words, Fishing Trawler is going to have a activity bar just like Soul Wars. That means Jagex is finally doing something about freeloaders. Took 'em long enough!

"Tricks"
Well, Jagex doesn't like it either, they just acknowledge that it doesn't violate the rules. And sensibly, they've decided to try and discourage it through game mechanics (stopping drop potential from accumulating in certain situations, etc.) instead of simply punishing those who use it.

Should pure ess and rune ess be re-combined as one?
Should pure ess and rune ess be re-combined as one? Absolutely not. It would cause tremendous economic upheaval, and there would be little to no advantage gained. Because rune prices will fall alongside pure essence prices, there's no guarantee that runecrafting would become any more profitable, and I might add that it's already the most consistently profitable skill in the game, so it would hardly need the boost anyway. It would also majorly screw over f2p runecrafters, who are now having to pay for essence that's priced to be made into nature runes, not air runes. Eliminating pure essence would effectively be just another price-fixing attempt by Jagex. That sort of thing has proved unpopular so far; I doubt it will go over well again.

Dagganoths in CT?
There are different kinds of dagannoths. The ones you're probably most familiar with are the level 92 and 74 ones from the Lighthouse. The level 92 ones use melee in addition to ranged. But if you were to go deeper into the Waterbirth dungeon, you'd find a lot of level 88 dagannoths that only use ranged, and those are the ones that drop the pieces for spined armor. The Chaos Tunnel dagannoths are all that same kind of ranged dagannoth, which is why they also drop the pieces for spined armor.

Fastest Thieving Experience?
If you can maintain the necessary pace, blackjacking should be faster than plunder. But once you get that high, it gets easier for plunder to match or exceed the experience rates of suboptimal blackjacking.

99 Firemaking Money
If Jagex made maple trees f2p it would crash the price. ... I thought this was a help topic, not a discussion. Yeah, and besides, the price of maples already crashed to the floor price anyway...they couldn't get any lower no matter how many f2p nubs started chopping them. Maple trees are members-only because they only grow in Kandarin. Anyway, you could try mining to pay for your maples. Even if your mining is super-low, you can still get adequate cash off clay and iron in the Varrock west mine, or rune essence.

fishing
Well at 60 fishing it's not so much better than power fly fishing and selling the fish to Rasolo.

Herb Run Order
I usually do Trollheim first, because I need to stop by the leprechaun to pick up my tools at the first patch.
-
Herb Run Order
Yeah, order doesn't matter because you never need to bank anymore. But I like to end at Catherby because then I get to stop near a bank.

Should F2P get skill capes?
That's no reason at all. There's this myth that giving little things to f2p will suddenly make membership worthless. Frankly, that's a ridiculous sentiment. There are so few f2p'ers who have/will get 99 skills that practically nothing will change. The biggest change won't be for pure free players at all, but for ex-members who lost their subscription and will gain the ability to wear their capes in f2p. You can't just say f2p shouldn't have something because it's supposed to be a membership benefit. It's circular reasoning. "Free players shouldn't have it because it's one of the benefits of membership, and it's one of the benefits of membership because free players don't have it." Well, it makes sense that any player with 99 in something should be able to wear the cape, free player or no. They trained for it fair and square.

skills or money?
Skills are more important than money. If I could bribe a genie right now to take all my cash and give me a fat chunk of summoning experience, I'd do it in a flash.

99 fishing
How about magic? Charging air orbs is ~200k gp/hr, or thereabouts. Faster xp than fishing too, and the skill is more useful...
-
99 fishing
I made millions off of cooking, have you tried that? And woodcutting is just as bad as fishing.

99 fishing
You do realize that fishing isn't fast money, right? You sure you don't want to go for something more profitable, if money is your main motive?
