  1. The best way is to fly fish and use an axe and tinderbox to make a fire to cook the fish when your inventory is full. I'm not certain whether dropping the fish or selling to the lumbridge general store is more efficient, but it'd be one of those two.
  2. They're the same speed, except that fishing with your hands gives you strength experience and disables whirlpool and big fish random events.
  3. Train your runecrafting. It's great cash. Just go 54-65 laws, 65-75 deaths, 75-91 zmi, and see how much you got by then. If it isn't enough, just craft nats with a Graahk from there until you have however much cash you want! It may not be the fastest or easiest method to get to your full bandos, but 91 runecrafting will stick with your account forever and give you access to the game's best consistent moneymaker whenever you want it.
  4. Well, in that case, perhaps you should simply choose to train your skills in profitable ways rather than try to race to buy something you can't afford? Over time the money will accumulate, hmm? Just work a few herb runs into your daily runescape life, don't stand around in a bank wondering what to do next, and start saving your money instead of spending it. If you train your skills efficiently, eventually you'll be rich without even trying. Right now though, you're apparently poor. And poor players have no business buying luxury show-off items. But luckily, rich and poor are functions of time. With enough time spent, you'll be rich eventually. Wait until you're rich, and then you can start thinking about luxuries.
  5. It's only used for red spider eggs, eyes of newt, and unicorn horns, right? Eyes of Newt are faster at the entrana store, red spider eggs are faster with the spirit spider, and I think you can get unicorn horns just as fast from the wildy unicorns. And of course you can buy them all easily on the grand exchange. So it's not all that awesome.
  6. Well toadflax is good if you get poor harvests, but on average ranarr, kwuarm, and snapdragon produce more profit. I would only use toadflax if I ran out of better seeds.
  7. Begging is junk. It's not even 12k an hour.
  8. Green dragons are pretty fast money, but it'll still take like 60 hours to get 13m off them. Yeah, patience is key. Even crafting nature runes at 91 rc would still take a while to earn that much, and that's the fastest consistent moneymaker in the game.
  9. Yes, world 77 is actually the official world. You shouldn't have much trouble sanctifying your oil there.
  10. Tower of Life has rather skimpy rewards. The Creature Creation minigame you unlock has pretty much no rewards, and the experience reward is unimpressive...it's only 1k construction exp. Pretty much you get a Builder's Costume, which is brown and purple and lets you whistle. Oh, and a quest point and 3 music tracks. Zogre Flesh Eaters is definitely worth doing, not so much for itself, but because it's a prerequisite to a great deal of other quests with nice rewards. Cabin Fever, Recipe for Disaster, As a First Resort, etc. For Monkey Madness, you want light gear to boost your prayer for most of the quest. For the boss fight, just bring your usual ranging gear.
  11. The top is the rarest piece. Me, I got lucky and got two of them within my first four lumberjack events. \ Are you wearing a Ring of Wealth? That's supposed to help.
  12. Don't forget that you can also use Eucalyptus as a cheaper alternative to yews. They're less expensive, but the experience is pretty close. And yeah, I'd recommend firemaking. It's quick and simple and you get a nice orange cape. If all you want is a 99 stat, it works. The only real problem is that you won't end up getting any tangible benefits...you can already burn all there is to burn, so nothing's going to change by the end of that extra ten million experience points except that you'll have less money and your obsidian cape will look cool instead of n00by.
  13. Watermelons are the only allotment plant to make supercompost.
  14. The lag is because of all the people downloading the new version, and all the bugs are because it's still in Beta. By and large, the actual content of the game is unchanged, and it just looks nicer. What is there to complain about? I don't know how you can say the graphics are worse than before. Perhaps you've never done any fishing, but I could point out that it used to be water was a flat sheet of blue. Now it is actually wet. Definitely an improvement.
  15. Sometimes you're planning on training for so long that you can save huge amounts of time by just doing a little math. For example, take fishing. Say you get an average of 30k exp/hr catching monkfish, and an average of 13k/hr catching sharks. These are realistic figures. Anyway let's say you're going for 99 and you need to decide between these two fish. And you know that sharks are slower for more money but monks are faster for less money. Well, if you're starting at 76, you need approximately 12m exp. 12m exp will take 400 hours at monkfish, but it will take about 920 hours at sharks. You'll need about 109k sharks or 100k monks. Sharks are about 1k each and monks are about 440 each. So if you catch sharks to 99, you'll spend about 520 hours longer in exchange for getting about 60m gp. That averages only to about 185k gp/hr value for all those extra hours. That's not really enough to merit 520 hours of fishing for most people, so you can then decide not to waste your time on sharks and to catch monkfish instead.
  16. I'm in favor of using the updated graphics, at least for a second version of the picture anyway. With the new textures, outfits look cooler in general, so I'd be fine having the photo look cooler. One problem in my case though is the graphical glitches that haven't been fixed yet...mainly that my lovely blue bandana has been bleached and no longer matches the rest of my clothes! So I suppose we should wait until next year. No idea what we should do this year, seeing as the character models have been changed and all. Kinda rains on our parade, huh?
  17. Anyone who wears a fury should not be afraid of repair costs. Seriously. It's under 100k every 15 hours. If you sold your fury for a glory, that's enough cash to keep a Guthan's Plate repaired for over 300 hours of combat. Well over what it would take to get 99 in the melee stat of your choice.
  18. Chaos Druids in the tower north of Ardougne with the chest that has the Blood Rune in it. You need a high enough thieving to pick the lock. Or even better at 82 thieving is the agility dungeon via the house in Yanille next door to the bank. Banshees are good too.
  19. If you have 82 thieving, Chaos Druids are very awesome, since you can picklock the house in Tanille that leads to a room in the Agility Dungeon, full of Chaos Druids and not very crowded and right next to a bank. And if you have high enough summoning you can bring a macaw and get loads of high level, valuable herbs. Other than that, Banshees are great too. They don't drop quite as many herbs as the Chaos Druids, but they do drop noted pure essence 13 at a time frequently. Remember your earmuffs or die a painful death.
  20. Yes. Unless you log into a f2p server.
  21. Just keep it until the G.E. price meets the street price. You'll save some trouble.
  22. Mage logs aren't even better money than mining pure essence. Go with slayer.
  23. The best place is the Wizard's Guild. You should use essence pouches and abyssal familiars to carry more per load. If you had 93 summoning, you could camp there and use an Abyssal Titan to bank, but you don't. It's not unreasonable to expect at least 1k ess per hour, so it's not too bad for making money. There are better ways, but it's more cash than, say, catching sharks or chopping yews.
  24. Only if they were logged in at the same time. You could switch between them in the same window as long as you logged out of the main before logging in as the scout, and vice-versa.
  25. There's hardly a secret to getting rich. It's mostly just time management. If you divide your time between playing Fist of Guthix and standing around in a bank trying to decide what to do next, you're going to be poor. If you spend your time farming and crafting high-level runes, you're going to be rich. In any case, I recommend planting Ranarrs in every herb patch every 75 minutes, and use the time in between to catch monkfish. (Not the fastest cash, but it's simple and easy, and decent experience. You could do pretty much any moneymaking activity instead, though.) You should wear an amulet of nature bound to one of your herb patches so you know exactly when to harvest.
