Broad bolts are still cheaper than crystal bow though even without accumulator. I'm not sure if crystal bow is better though.
-
for you maby, i hate them since i dont cannon. They're still good xp and charms in the chaos tunnels if you don't want to cannon.
-
No you can use turael like a normal slayer master, your streak only resets when you have him change your task. You slayer points wont reset under any circumstances.

Give me two/three weeks and I'll be 134 with untrimmed farm :P (does farming instead of cooking count?). So no, you're probably not the highest. I could even get 137 cb with untim farm if I could be bothered to do soul wars for 98 melees, you can't really get 98 summoning anymore so you could get 136 max.
-
So yeah if you change your task you won't be able to kill normal Tzhaars for it anymore. Oh punitive beat me to it.
-
I found zs was a lot better than whip/dfs at mithril dragons, but maybe it doesn't matter as much at iron dragons because their defence is much lower.

The level 90 one.

That's the same for the uncannonable tasks, and as you mentioned she actually has less cannon tasks so you would spend less time cannoning. I agree with but you missed scarabites there, another awesome cannonable task she doesn't assign. Taking all that into account, to me it seems best just to get tasks from her for bonus tasks (10th/50th etc), and use duradel for all other tasks (if you're after faster xp). If you just want a change, she would probably be more fun, even though you get longer and thus more tedious tasks.

Borrow a zamorakian spear/saradomin sword, much more effective than torag hammers. If you weren't using pure sets yet, do that. 10% strength prayer/chivalry would help too but would drain even more ppoints. It will stay a hard task until you have higher melee stats and a bunyip, you could consider skipping them but the crimsons are pretty good, it's all up to you. I'd say at least try it one more time with a zs/ss.

Saru Finally Reached All 80+ :)

Good job  -
First decide how much you want to spend on fruit trees per day, then find a fruit tree that fits this requirement. Palm trees are about as expensive as maples at the moment, so would be good for planting. Don't bother with allotments, strawberry if you really want to. No hops. Plant poison ivy in your bush patches, use a wolpertinger for picking if you can. It's 360 xp/patch for picking if you use a wolpertinger, I'm not sure if you'd get more xp from replanting every time. In your special patches, you should plant calquat/cactus/spirit tree. Replant the calquat every day like a normal fruit tree, pick the spines from your cactus and replant the spirit tree whenever you have a seed. (and yeah, as zaaps mentioned, don't forget the jade vine)
-
That's just the reward bonus too, you kill like 30 360's too which are all 200hp each or something, plus a whole load of other monsters. Sounds worth doing if you think you can beat Jad in one try :P

How well did turmoil+soul split work? Is it better than ranging? :P Grats on the cape  Seems like an awesome update, I'll get some tasks from her soon.

82 Herblore, Help with a Plan+Is it Worth it?
D Jay99 replied to Draconic's topic in Help and Advice
Stews are actually pretty good, you get 4+ about once every 11 stews so +3 should be even easier. Sounds like a good plan, 85 herblore is very much worth it, though you should consider getting 85 just to be able to make extreme att/str pots if you're going to train herblore anyway (you'll be able to rape the steels even better that way :P). Antifires are pretty expensive at the moment though, you might want to look in some other potions to see if they're significantly cheaper. If not, yeah just do antifires. Runewiki price calc isn't really good for that, you basically have to make 1 of each potion to see at what price the ingredients buy (if they even buy). -
Yup, buyable for min already.

I think my underwater record is like 40 meters, 50 is pretty good
-
Well, not a question about rares, but it's sort of related to economics so I guess this is the right topic. Dragon bones are buyable at exactly med (4992 each) at the moment. What do you expect, will they start crashing or will they go up more? Is it a good idea to buy them now?

Herbs + battlestaves + MTK. That's all, makes me about 1m/day. I don't spend a lot of money so it's more than enough for me.

So are steels still worth blocking if you have extreme antifire + extreme sets or is the new spot actually really good? -
Chaos Tunnel Waterfiends with new Prayer Curses
D Jay99 replied to Logdotzip's topic in General Guides
It's sad that by the time I finally have 95 prayer, I'll already have 98 summoning banked so I could just as well do slayer to 99. Oh well, still a nice guide and a pretty good method for nearly maxed people who just want to get 96-99 summ or something. -
Not even close. Ironically, the 132 icefiends upstairs seemed to drop charms more often, and were easier to kill. But even they only drop charms like 20-40% of the time. As for the new prayers, now that I've had a chance to test them fully I've got to say I'm pretty underwhelmed. The deflect prayers only have a recoil effect and then only VERY rarely. In fact I didn't see a deflection once at TDs, and only a few times during a trip to waterfiends. The sap def prayer didn't seem to make a big enough dent in the TDs defense to justify the prayer drain. Also the berserker prayer drains too much prayer to justify prolonging stat bonuses. Those saved super sets will only equate to more prayer pot doses drunk, which are obviously far more expensive. Oh and obviously these new prayers are very bad choices for prayer flashing, because they require at least two turns for the drain effect to kick in. Flashing piety would be a much better choice than flashing turmoil. And then there's soul split. Honestly, for most applications the healing just doesn't justify the prayer drain. Replacing a protection prayer for soul split is just a bad idea. You use protection prayers at certain monsters because they hit you hard and often, thus if you used soul split you'd have it on like 24/7. So why not just use the protection prayer instead? And for other slayer tasks it's just fluff really. Uni and bunyip do a good enough job. Replacing them for soul split would just be unjustifiably expensive if you needed to use prayer potions, because they're friggin 14k each. Not that I don't like the new prayer book, it defiantly has its uses, such as PvP. I could absolutely rip through people in Castlewars using turmoil, and understandably so because not only do you get a ~30% attack bonus, but the enemy also takes a 15% hit to defense. Soul split would be awesome to use in conjunction with combat familiars though, and creatures would have to hit pretty hard to outhit it (it heals like 25 hp on most normal slayer monsters, which is more than most of them would hit).

I'd do snaps, they're the best profit most of the times or sometimes 2nd when another herb peaks. Toadflax used to be better, but they've crashed now so snaps are the best again. If you'd prefer to plant some cheap seeds, avantoe is very good at the moment.

The thing is that you are limited by one fruit tree run daily. For most other skills, 30% more cost for 11% faster isn't worth it because you can just spend 11% more time. You have to take limiting factors into consideration. All things said, it's a very personal decision, and I can't be bothered to do the calculations to see if it's really worth it. Anyway, herb runs are always worth doing. I just suggested 2 daily because most people play at least 90 minutes. I would also recommend doing bush runs and cactus picking whenever you can. Tree runs take about 5 minutes, so for yews that is 425k xp/hour if you pay at a cost of 12*(405k + 265k), and 383k xp/hour if you don't pay at a cost of 12*405k. So basically you save 6.6 minutes by spending 12*265 = 3180k more, and to make up for the xp lost you'll have to plant another 6.7 seeds, ~530k in this case. You pay 2650k more, not worth paying for yews if you don't make over 23.9m/hour. Really not worth it unless you dislike farming or something, you only spend extra days if you don't pay, not extra time. During those extra days you can do more herb runs that get you more xp too, so that would save you even more money. I hope I did that calculation right (I edited this, now it's right) :P Those 6.7 minutes should be the same for every kind of tree. So if you make 800k/hour (pretty average figure for most people), ((60*cost of payment)-(6.67*cost of tree))/(6.7/60) has to be lower than 800. I think that's actually right for every kind of tree. For example maples, that would be (60*1410)-(6.7*33000)/(6.7/60) = -1.2m, it is negative as you would expect since the cost of a basket of oranges is less than 10% of the seed cost.
