  1. No. Jagex wouldn't make something like that. Also, Jagex can't be like "oh, well your magic level is boosted, but because a WOLPERTINGPER (or w/e it is, sorry about spelling) gave you the boost. Oh, you can hit +5 more damage with DBA spec vs super str pot because DBA gave the bonus." No. The bonus is a bonus that affects stuff. Sorry if that came across as a little obnoxious. You didn't get what I meant. I meant that I heard of some people that the extreme mage pot's extra damage only applied on one enemy (in this case one rock lobsters), meaning all other 8 rock lobster got hit by a regular burst (with a max of 22). Not sure if it is still like that cause this was what it was like (according to these people) BEFORE the update. That does seem to be the case, I've been getting 187 xp/burst for 2.5k bursts, and it was 180 before the update. Out of that 180 xp, 140 xp is from damage, which means 15.55 xp from damage per rock lobster. (15.55*1.31)+(8*15.55)+40 =185 xp/burst. It would have to be close to 220 xp/burst or something like that if it actually boosted the damage on all lobs.
  2. I've been getting a 202 xp/burst average over 350 bursts since those first 1k bursts, so the low xp was probably because I messed up a lot at the start.
  3. Did you use the scroll to boost your magic level or just have it summoned? They might have removed it from the equation as not to make 92 summoning the cheaper extreme magic potion as well as disallowing it in PvP. I'm using a wolpertinger + scrolls at rock lobsters at the moment, I've hit a few 25's with ice burst so I can confirm wolpertinger does work. Also, +10 from extreme mage seems a bit overpowered. Spellbook swap/ice barrage at 84/86? I think it is pretty balanced at the moment, both 92 summ and 91 herblore are pretty hard to get. Is it not too hard with wolper hitting the lobs messing up your lures? Also, what do you mean by this 84/86? And I think it's okay, but I would have liked for extreme mage to be given at least one or two levels more than the wolpertinger, since wolper gives stackable scrolls and can be used in pvp (meaning it's more useful/cheap so should have less of a bonus). With +10 from extreme mage you would already be able to cast those two spells at level 84/86. The wolper doesn't mess up the lures that badly, maybe gets a lob stuck somewhere every 1/5 lures. 188k mage xp and 294 crimsons in the first 1k bursts, but I messed up a lot at the start. I expected the +18-21% damage would help more, but it's still pretty good.

  5. 1+(0,5/(91-44))(x-44) = amount of natures per essence, where x is your level. Level 60 = 1.17 Level 70 = 1.28 Level 80 = 1.38 Level 85 = 1.44 Level 90 = 1.49 Seems to match the figures provided so far pretty well. It would mean it's linear with your level, but only up to 1.5 natures/ess on average max before 91.
  6. Assume the natures/ess maxes out at 1.5 before 91, and the formula just a linear function based on your level 44-91, that would make the formula for natures/ess: 1+(0,5/(91-44))(x-44) = amount of natures per essence, where x is your level. Level 60 = 1.17 Level 70 = 1.28 Level 80 = 1.38 Level 85 = 1.44 Sounds about right? If it were to go with xp, it would be 1+(0,5/(5,902,831-55,649))(x-55,649) - x being your xp, which would mean: Level 60 = 1.02 Level 70 = 1.06 Level 80 = 1.17 Level 85 = 1.27 That doesn't seem to be quite right.
  7. Which makes natures at 85 about as good as double astrals in terms of profit, not really a huge update besides being easier to do (graahk instead of lunar). With current prices of course, if natures drop a lot astrals will become better. Concerning the magic boosting stuff, wolpertinger special attack does not stack with magic/extreme magic boosts.
  8. That is indeed weird, especially since you was able to use any staff to cast god spells since the last magic update, and 1 death/1 blood is barely cheaper than 2 bloods. Does the wolpertinger boost stack with the extreme magic potion boost?
  9. It's Sumonedskull6, and because I'm not stupid, I don't use the bottom of the U. All that does is cause problems, the ladder spot is much better, saves energy, and I still get 550+ casts/hour. Magic boost ALWAYS effects EVERYTHING, but for some things like this, it's almost too small to notice, but it DOES make a difference nonetheless. Whatever floats ones boat. I believe that both spots are good and it's just a matter of personal preferance. I disagree with bedman discouraging the use of prossy armour. With the new run update, it is definitely possible to maintain enough run energy for luring despite carrying such a heavy gear. I found that it costs more to forget switching back from proselyte to ahrims than it costs to use a few more extra ppoints :P
  10. Did they just nerf the extreme magic pots that I had banked for when I was planning to start bursting tomorrow? <_< It means extreme mage pots only make you do 6% more damage on average compared to normal tradeable mage pots, which gives you a 1-2 higher max hit or something. Otherwise, pretty good update. The in other news... is very good as usual. I wonder how large that chance of getting extra runes actually is, if it's anything like the curve they mentioned you'd get double natures like half of the time already at level 75?
  11. Even though you should be doing that anyway even without homework  Smithing gold ores is what I did yesterday while doing homework, not too much of a loss and it actually gets you smithing xp unlike cannonballs. String amulet or plank make spells should be kinda good too.
  12. Decided to train smithing to 86 while doing some homework. Took 6 stews after 86 to get a +5 boost for elite diary task. Thanks to sheep for helping me with finishing the trawler task!
  13. What if we would have said no they're totally off, would you have believed it? The data I used in that post in your extreme magic thread matches Andy's.
  14. I would have answered, but there have been a lot of bursting threads lately and I figured you would be able to find them and get some data from those. I think I even answered one of your bursting threads with calculations, and I included much of the data you are asking for now in this thread. Also, you even quoted some data from andy's guide in the OP, and he honestly knows more about bursting than we in h&a do.

  16. Translation: Must be a high level farming update! Or at least, I hope so
  17. I don't think it gives fishing xp anymore, now you just get the usual mystery box with an xp lamp in it. At least I think it doesn't, I quit fishing at 3260k xp or something just over that, and I'm pretty sure I've had 2 or more evil bob's island randoms since then. I'm talking about the xp you used to get when you left the island though, I'm not sure if you get xp from catching fish to feed bob. If you do get xp for that, I'd imagine it would get you less than 63 xp.
  18. The joke is on you, i was not trying anything. Instead of "argument" which you thought i was trying to create, i was just saying how i feel about 99s. Those who say 99s are hard is foolish. If you say that it's foolish to suggest that having the time to spend on gaining 99s is easy then yeah. Personally I don't have all that much time, so 99s for me are gained over long periods. I accept that the repeated clicking that is required to attain EXP is technically easy, but going through it day in day out so as to reach your goal is probably a little bit more difficult. Well it then just means it takes time, it does not mean it's hard. I honestly don't get that argument, are you seriously saying spending time on something easy isn't hard? If 99's would only take a few hours, they would indeed not be hard. Spending enough time on a skill to actually reach 99 in it is the hard part though, you can't deny it is pretty boring to do the same thing for hours on end, especially if it is click intensive like runecrafting.

  20. Finally. Now to collect some grenwall spikes for extreme range pots, and I'll have a supply of extreme potions that will last at least long enough to get me 99 summ/hp :^_^: [hide=90 Herblore][/hide]
  21. You slayed a lot, nice progress! Keep it up
  22. Congratulations! Awesome level in an awesome skill. Good luck with your next goal (if you have one)!
  23. I tried killing rabbits for the raw rabbit, but that was really slow. The best you are going to get is 110/day from the meat store and the charter in o'oglog. It's really impractical and wolpertingers are slow to make, I personally just made swamp titans.
  24. Quitting is not due when one has a reason to quit, but when one has a lack of reasons to continue. Evaluate so, and you will find nothing lost. Well, the reason to quit can either be no longer feeling like playing or real life forcing me to spend so little time playing I no longer find the game fun. :P
