  1. Actually, they are useless, for the most part. Extreme Attack, Strength, Defense, and Range face the same problem that Super Attack, Strength, Defense, and Mage do - they get negated by Saradomin Brews. Unless you are in a PvP situation rather than PvM (competing with a crashing team for kills, versus just killing the boss alone or with your team), forgoing stat boosting potions altogether and just bringing more prayer / healing will get you more kills in the same amount of time, once you factor the time delving through waterbirth, or killing 40 GWD monsters, getting your teams together, etc. Only when you expect to have to compete with another team were Super Potions really useful. But kill speed doesn't reduce the amount of time spent waiting for a spawn, or time spent preparing for the trip. Extreme Magic would be good, except Magic has never been a weapon-of-choice for bosses with exception of Dagannoth Rex. Dagannoth Rex exemplifies the same problems that plagues Super Attack/Strength/Defense/Range - killing faster doesn't speed of spawn time, so time per kill decreases only marginally. It doesn't help that runes have gone up in price... Besides those... Super Antifire is still good, but it was never PvP related in the first place (items that prevent dragonfire didn't block DFS or Dragon Bolts last I checked). Special Restore makes me laugh - not worth the space unless you're competing for kills. Extreme Prayer is good, but most of the time, Super Restore is better since it allows the use of Brews. Overload is good, but the periodic hp drop can be fatal if it happens at the wrong time, and the 50 hp recovered at the end may be wasted if it happens at the wrong time. Do you see a pattern here? Because I sure do - these potions are useful only in the PvP situations that Jagex failed to correct, such as FFA Corporeal Beast or GWD Bosses, or as substitutes for their Super counterparts in activities like slayer... where you really don't need the minor bonus anyways, and it's hardly worth the effort. So basically, the only thing these pots are useful for is slayer?
  2. You might want to bring an armadyl item just in case you want to log out while they're agressive. Swap the monk's robe top with some dhide, you really want some more range offense. Other than that, the setup seems okay.
  3. Russian Circles - Enter Caspian - Brombie Two favourites at the moment, along with their respective albums.
  4. Does the fact that I was wondering which picture was going to be first when you said you'd do the crap one first say enough? You had already anticipated that by calling the other one semi crappy though  3/10, keep it up.
  5. *Does some quick calculations* D Jay beats you by 4k xp/hr, and he doesn't just train the easy skills. :wall: I'm 36k/hr btw. <3: Howcome cant see the ammount of time ive played? You have to log in first I think. And I've seen quite some people beat me in xp/hour (especially on the last page of the official thread), the best so far being olly at like 89k xp/h.
  6. I wonder if someone with a decent playing time (no 10 days or something lol) has beat olly yet?
  7. Haha you've played for exactly 2 days more than me  I kinda like this new thing, even though mine is a bit boring atm. 44k xp/hour on average for me, pretty decent.
  8. Meh, I'll take a break and try again when I feel like it. No I'm not getting 86 smithing, it's just stupid you can go 500 stews and 34 +5 boosts without a +6 boost. Started with 300 dwarven stouts
  9. I think using the ardy cape to teleport to the monastery and mining iron there is faster than using a spirit kyatt. I haven't tested it yet, but you might want to look into that.
  10. Possible to do an abyss run in 1:20 on average (you can do a little faster but this is a pretty reasonable figure which everyone should be able to achieve), which means you can do 45 runs/hour. You'll be able to craft 1900 ess/hour on average. You have to practice a bit to reach this though. O yeah I did forget an abyssal familiar here. Add 300 ess/hour or something
  11. It's easier to farm than it is not to farm.
  12. Why be so silly? Relying on a +6 boost is stupid, it's nigh-impossible to get. Train your skill until you are 4 levels from the required level. It's what I did for Smithing (88-> 92: Dragon platebody) and Crafting (86-90: Fury). It took less than 5 stews. Agreed. I regularly use stews for things like this, and you should consider it a +5 boost at best, not +6, because it is so wonderfully rare. This should be noted in the items database. At least get one level for it. Takes 5 hours to get 86 smithing which has no use for me and looks worse than 85. Would cost about 1600k too, about an hour of doing herb runs (which I'd do anyway, so actually more like 1.5 hours of crafting astrals). It is possible to collect spices for and eat 50 stews per hour. So, in the time it takes me to get 86 smithing (we'll just ignore the time it would take to get the +5 boost since it isn't rare), I could have used 300 stews. There's a 1/125 chance on a +6 boost each stew (5 possibilities, -2/-1/0/+1/+2, you need three +2's so 0.2^3. credits to brunokiller for this ). (124/125)^300 = 9%. So, since there was a 91% chance I'd get that +6 boost within 6 hours, I decided just to do that and don't bother with smithing. I even googled around some forums, and people usually recommend others to get the extra level for a +5 boost 'because the +6 boost took me about 40 stews :o'. I honestly don't think it was such a weird decision, and I'm not going to throw away the 8 hours already spent on it because there's another 91% chance I'll get it in the next 6 hours  Would be funny if you get the boost right before stats go down every minute. You are like "yes!", and one second later it's 90 again. Haha I'm making sure that doesn't happen, I stew for 45 seconds after my stats drop and then I wait till they drop again.

  14. I kinda dislike this elite ardougne diary 91 smithing req. Training 85-86 smith for the easier +5 boost from stews would have taken about 5 hours, so I thought I'd get the +6 boost faster than that. But no, 400 stews used so far, 27 +5 boosts and even a 91/85 rc boost, but still no +6 smithing boost. I'll keep going till 500 stews, if I haven't gotten it by then that's a nice 10 hours wasted on absolutely nothing lol.
  15. The +5 boost isn't rare at all. I got it 24 times so far in 333 stews, so 1/14 or something. I only watched smithing though, but I'd imagine the average would be about the same for every skill. Sadly still no +6 smithing boost after 333 stews, trying to get a +6 is a complete waste of time. :-| I believe your other questions have been answered.
  16. Hehe I thought it was some massive joke with all the people using way too many enters on purpose, but apparently that happened with the forum conversion.
  17. This, but gold-green-blue-crimson after 89. Sometimes it might be better to use some blues before 89, if you're able to unlock a better crimson charm pouch that way.
  18. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Miscellania So, 100% herbs 50% seeds is the most profit atm, but I predict herbs will start dropping pretty soon.
  19. Where did all the money from your 30 whips/11 bows etc go lol Good luck with the last two levels, and grats on 96 summ of course
  20. You're basically paying 51.6m for 1863k of 'useless' (unless you want the cape) runecrafting xp. I'd say astrals are really worth it at the moment, their price is really high.
  21. Turn sounds and auto retaliate on, and have range pray on. If you hear something before you get hit, turn on mage pray, turn range pray back on once you get hit and try to find jad. Once you can see him, just watch his attacks. When the healers appear, have them all attack you then move around a bit so only one of them can attack you. Turn on 15% def pray, heal if needed. Finish off jad. Make sure you have inv space before he dies so you don't lose your cape to a random
  22. I was able to craft 3000-3200 ess/hour making astrals, which averages out to about 26.5-28.3k xp/hour (including pouch repair runs). You have to be pretty fast to get that xp rate at the abyss, and astrals are better profit too. They're definitely worth crafting, even over zmi.
