No, but should I? Always, so you're always guaranteed that expensive xp Not exactly. There's an explanation in the AoW guide by Zaaps, but I'll outline what to keep in mind. 1) Only 1 in 10 trees dies unattended. 2) The cost to watch a tree is part of the cost of the xp. 3) Doing the math, therefore, if the cost of the supplies to watch the tree is 10% of the seed price or higher, it's not worth it. You are guaranteed the xp though. That is worth it for me. 11% faster xp for usually 30% more cost, it really isn't worth it. For stuff like maples it's also easier not to pay the farmer, as the payment is pretty hard to buy. What bladewing did was good, I'd advise you try to do as many herb runs as possible though, they're always worth doing (like 2m/hour profit) and give farming xp (you want that, right? :P) on the side too!

95 melees/range/mage/slayer, 99 hp/summoning (well just the 2nds and supplies to get the charms for 99) and money for 95 prayer (wonder at what price bones will stabilize, if it's over 5.5k I'll have to make more money) banked. :D And 93 herblore, will have to stew 600 overloads though (got 150 (4) spices banked so should be enough). -
Wouldn't a magic based range attack just be a magic attack? - Oh no of course not, since range prayer protects you from it. They do seem to hit you with it whatever your range defence is though, so even if you're not using a protection prayer at all it's still best to wear mage defence.

Plant maples and palms (both about the same gp/xp), should give you 84k xp/day from trees alone (10 maples 5 palms). Plant herbs too, you really want to get used to that since they're always worth planting, they make like 2m/hour at the moment. Snapdragons alone make you 36k/patch, marigolds make you another 10k/run and cactus spines give you 15k per herb run too. That makes about 200k profit per 4k xp herb run, you should be able to do 4 of those per day. Plant calquat trees too. That makes a total of 112k xp/day, at a total cost 860k for the trees and ~800k profit from the herbs. There, 99 farming nearly for free. (of course you could have done those herb runs anyway so it still costs 860k/day for the trees, but you get the point). :P And please don't be like 'meh I don't like herbs I won't do that', just don't get 99 if you don't like farming :P

I'm in a swimming team too, but I don't really take it seriously enough to be any good at it. I basically practice twice a week for an hour, not intensively but just for fun. My personal bests are 1:13 or something on the 100 free and 1:26 on the 100 breaststroke, which is relatively my best time. It's the only stroke where I usually don't end dead last. :P The one thing I dislike about swimming is not being able to breath as much as you want, you always have to hold your breath until you can breath again. I kinda like backstroke because of this, but breaststroke is still my favourite.

80+ in all skills
D Jay99 replied to MonkeyChee's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Good job! You're the first person I know of who gets all 80+ before 2k total (and also the highest number of skills at exactly 80) :P Keep it up and good luck with whatever goal you choose next! -
75+ Crimson charms in 30 minutes - Chaos dungeon waterfiends
D Jay99 replied to Cantristenon's topic in General Guides
I found that I barely manage to last 5 minutes before having to brew for the first time even if I do jump in the pools first, so I'd say it would be quite a waste of extreme pots to skip the pools. It would be unnecesary if you had the herblore level for overload though. I start timing my trip when I teleport to mobilising armies, it takes 2.5-3 minutes to get to fiends from there. Since the trips are designed to last quite a short time and have several different phases anyway, I don't really mind doing this at the start. I still mostly do it because cantcristenon recommends it though :P This might be one of the places where extreme prayer potions are actually worth it yeah, since the aggressive phase wastes quite a lot of supplies and prolonging your trip with extreme ppots would considerably cut down the relative cost of those supplies per trip. Good luck with herblore  On a completely unrelated note, it might be a good idea to sip a dose of extreme antifire at the bank to protect from the bronze dragon's breath. That dragon has pretty much [bleep]ed up two of my trips so far by hitting 40+ when I ran past it :P -
http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Miscellania 100% herbs 50% fish would be best atm, since you get lots of useless seeds if you put your workers on seeds.

75+ Crimson charms in 30 minutes - Chaos dungeon waterfiends
D Jay99 replied to Cantristenon's topic in General Guides
I usually use 9 restore doses for brews, so one of those restores basically functions as a prayer potion. I messed up during last trip and accidentally got them aggressive again, had to tele after 38 minutes already because I was out of ppoints already from having to range prayer for another 10 minutes. So yeah, you could probably bring another prayer potion to use if the titan doesn't die fast, but most of the time it does and I honestly prefer not having to worry about inv space. Even with this inventory I had problems with inv space last trip because the first few fiends dropped 3 different charms and water orbs/ranarr seed/death runes. The wrench gives 8 points extra per prayer potion, so it counts like half a prayer potion. I'd bring it but it would shorten my trip even more or give inventory problems :P The duelling ring is for getting to ooglog, and the glory is for teleporting to edgeville from ooglog. I bank them in edge so I have some empty spaces, I tried bringing food in those spaces but that only makes me waste more sgs specs. Now I think about it, this whole inventory is based on having as little inventory space problems with drops etc as possible. If you don't mind juggling, it would probably be better to bring more prayer potions, as you said. I have been averaging ~135 crims/hour over the past few trips, at about 100 crimson charms per trip. So the average trip time is more like 45 minutes. -

I'd get 90 mining and spend the remaining 8 hours on runecrafting, I want to get all 90+ some day and mining is the only skill I really dislike.

thanks for the quick reply ive tried useing the prices stated on runewiki and i still get nowhere near there gp per xp so assume it sites calculation is wrong looks like il have to do the calculations myself Prayer potion(3) Prayer potion(3) 38 87.5 Vial of water Clean ranarr 10500 Snape grass 390 Coins 9,258 Coins -19.34 High ((60+10500+390)-9258)/87.5 = 19.34 What is the problem? The gp/xp ratio runewiki gives is right, provided you sell and buy everything at med. Just tried it and making a full prayer potion at current prices cost 1416 gp or 16.18 gp/xp, this is mostly because clean ranarrs buy slightly under med and prayer potions sell over med. But that is to be expected, the gp/xp cost wiki provides is only an estimate.

Depends when you repot, if you repot every 5 minutes you will use 12 doses or 3 full potions per hour. Rest should be basic math, total xp divided by xp/hour = hours needed, hours needed*doses/hour = amount of doses. Oh wait, I was assuming you wanted to know the amount of pure sets used. If you wanted to know the amount of prayer potions, don't use those. Als sumond said, there's an altar nearby.

Runecrafting Guide - An Insiders Look at Runecrafting
D Jay99 replied to Speedsktr's topic in Archive of Wisdom
I think tif's character limit is pretty big, it would probably be better if you would put it all in one post and in hide tags. Looks like a pretty informative guide though, lots of pictures etc! - Aaaw, you weren't done yet. -
I would like to add that extreme mage potions don't help much while bursting though, the effect only seems to affect the monster you are hitting and not the 8 other monsters around that one. It's still nice to have though, and it feels good when you know you're getting the best xp possible.

75+ Crimson charms in 30 minutes - Chaos dungeon waterfiends
D Jay99 replied to Cantristenon's topic in General Guides
This is pretty much the perfect inventory for me at the moment. Enough free inventory space so you don't have to juggle drops at the start (only if you get really lucky with herbs/bstaves etc), and lasts about 50 minutes from bank to bank (or until iron titan dies). I personally found bringing another iron titan pouch for when the first one dies and supplies to go with that one rather annoying, not being able to pick up drops really put me off doing trips. This is at my stats of course, if your magic/defence levels are higher you might want to try to bring less brews and more prayer potions, and take a sip of extreme set when you leave the bank (I don't do this because I found I don't need more than 8 doses/trip. I also summon iron titan when at fiends and not before leaving bank). -
50-60k attack, 17-20k hp xp. About 42k hp xp/h. Attack first, defence to 85 would help too.

http://www.runehq.com/guide.php?type=calculator&id=0736 Best house would probably have 2-3 gardens in the middle, and altar/portal rooms/skill hall etc close to the portal.

Yup, antifires average out to about 100k xp/hour at a cost of 1200k/hour. Other extreme pots should be about 25gp/xp, and get you 400k/hour xp or something at a cost of 10m. It takes 4 hours to gather phoenix feathers and make antifires for 400k xp, and that costs 4800k. You have to make over 1700k/hour or something for super antifires to be less efficient than other pots, not counting the xp you might get while making money. You could try prayer potions or something to get to 85, basically any potion that's around 25 gp/xp is good.

I did that already for the hard diary, I really hope I wont have to do it again! Got really lucky, it only took one attempt :P Crossing the level 81 slayer cave obstacle, as mentioned earlier, seems like a pretty good example of what tasks you can expect. I also think they'll include some more tasks that are similar to 'make a rune cbow all in yanille/witchaven'.

Favourites are farming/summoning/slayer. I really dislike gathering skills, mining/wc/fishing/hunter are all pretty boring (even though I have yet to try ivy/concentrated gold/rockfish, will probably use those if I ever train the skills again).
-
As long as the elite reqs are 85-90 or something, I'm happy. I have ~800 doses of both brown and yellow spices banked, so stewing shouldn't be a problem :P Sounds good, hope this stuff comes out soon!

Good job and good luck with the last few skills!
