  1. Actually, you can move, drink potions, or whatever as long as you attack again at the very first opportunity. So you have 5 ticks (4 technically, because magic takes an extra tick to come out) to do whatever it is you need, and as long as you attack as soon as possible again, it doesn't drop the combo. You can even evade the giant icicle special and keep the combo going if you're quick.
  2. Celestial surgebox also has the wonderful property of dealing an extra hit every 5 consecutive attacks. Normally, it only does 20% of what your initial hit was, but against Glacors, it appears to do far more than 20%. It also saves a few inventory spaces. You should definitely get it if you're serious about glacors.
  3. I wanted to bring a generous number of extreme range doses mostly because I want to make sure I can re-pot during the fight with Jad if I need to brew. I think I could manage a few less brews (maybe 20 doses instead of 40), but I'm not sure what else I'd do with the saved inventory space. Maybe I could bring Torag's top/bottom for tanking the rangers better. Or spec restores with dragon claws (or dds if the 360 kiting is a big issue), but only a few spec restore potions probably wouldn't make much of a difference. While I'd like to use SoA, it's not currently in my budget. In fact, the biggest reason I'm doing this is for a second fire cape to unlock the Fight Kiln, and maybe complete it for money via onyxes. I'm having trouble finding a consistent way of making money that I actually enjoy and I thought that might be it.
  4. At first the guide seems sloppy and badly laid out. Probably because it is sloppy and badly laid out. However, the information is quite useful. Just format it a bit differently, and I'll give you a gold star. And thank you for not tossing another sunnova[bleep]ing "VIDEO GUIDE" onto the pile that is today's AoW. You get extra credit for that.
  5. Pretty sure the Katana doesn't count as a super-rare cosmetic item. Well, I hope it doesn't count as a "cosmetic". Because if it did, then that would probably mean lucky Godwars armor, spirit shields, dragon equipment would count too. And having 10x more of these lucky ducky freebies floating around will make me about 10x angrier than I already am. I'm not actually that angry at this very moment, but 10x is a lot.
  6. Boom. Goin' fast. Boom. That's my setup. Trying to make the task as quick as possible without sacrificing too much in the way of survivability. Any suggestions? Gotta make this post quick too. Boom. P.S. Assume I'm wearing a vampyrism aura, my strength potions are brew (4)'s and my inventory bolts are of the enchanted diamond variety. Blam. That wasn't very fast.

    Ring of wealth..

TOO BRIGHT! An incredibly uncanny combination of ring of wealth spam and a light bloom glitch left me laughing my ass off for 12 minutes.
  8. I'm a noob because I can't realize subtle differences in things that turn out to be incredibly important. But at least my power level is off da charts.
  9. Thank god 0.00000000002% vs. 0.0000000002% I like those odds, where do I put my money?
  10. Shit... I was kinda interested in 8Realms. I would've kept playing after the beta if they made a few changes. The idea of the servers being deleted after there was crowned a "winner" kinda turned me off to the whole ordeal. If you spend days and days building your empire, but somebody else builds the final Wonder first, all your work is kaput.
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuGoqTAP4zU From the same uploader -- Mod Mark confirms there will be sheathed weapons in the Combat Evolution update! Also, burnt bouldabass confirmed for next tradeable discontinued item (more or less).
  12. Remember, by beating Song From the Deep, you unlock a "passive damage reduction" against the Queen Black Dragon. I thought it came a bit out of left field at first, but now it sounds like they gave us it for a reason. Sounding more and more like a requirement than a perk. I thought Song From the Deep was a requirement to fight her in the first place, but I guess it isn't technically required. I'd imagine you'd go into the QBD's lair and get one shot killed without the damage reduction buff, then get told you need some kind of magical protection from the quest. Just a way to make the QBD that much more threatening feeling I suppose.
  13. Remember, by beating Song From the Deep, you unlock a "passive damage reduction" against the Queen Black Dragon. I thought it came a bit out of left field at first, but now it sounds like they gave us it for a reason.
  14. Does he remind anyone else of Captain Price from Call of Duty? You mean in the sense that they both have facial hair and wear hats? In that case, he looks just like Sean Connery! If anything, trim the facial hair and you'd probably get Adrian Brody. Trim it more and you get BRODYQUEST. BRODYQUEST for Runescape's 200th quest -- confirmed for 2012 -- make it happen.
  15. Interesting idea. I'd imagine it could work as an addition to the task system. Perhaps they would be under a "special" category, where each "achievement" has its own unique rewards.
  16. Last time the boss drops were doubled, were charms affected? I'm wondering if that mechanic would carry over to a Chaos Tunnel waterfiends task to get double charms.
  17. A woman eating a slice of watermelon. Clearly.
  18. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Leaks Apparently there were leaks of new "action icons". Most likely pertaining to the upcoming "big combat rework".
  19. If you don't need the money right now then you should save up 100. Once you have 100, then you should figure out the prices.
  20. They said bonfires could give a health bonus and extra cooking xp. I'm not exactly sure what the mean; perhaps the "health bonus" is referring to cooking food on the bonfires. Either way, it sounds like this will not only be a good way to train, but also might be a genuine use for firemaking. P.S. I've been suggesting something like this for years... Big fires that multiple players can join in, and some kind of boost when cooking on player made fires. Took 'em long enough.
  21. Whoops, my bad. On the topic of Runespan: I think all of the rewards are kinda crappy. All the robes do is upgrade your hood to give you a bit more essence/runes per day - nothing spectacular. The weight reduction is pointless, not when compared to agile armor, but weight reduction is just pointless in general. After you reach 0kg weight, your run energy isn't affected further. Usually when you're running around you don't have much stuff weighing you down anyway. Thankfully, you don't need to wear the robes for the wicked hood upgrades. They do look pretty nice when recolored (to purple) however. The staves are frivolous and unnecessary. You might argue charging the staff with a spell can "save space" for vengeance, contact npc, blood barrage etc. This saves you a few spaces. Hardly worth it. Not to mention, you need to be on the right spellbook so that of course limits the uses to niche at best. The highest leveled one requires 90 rc and 25k points, but has total crap magic bonuses. The spell absorption supposedly activates less that 1% of the time. The massive pouch might be worth using if for some reason you feel like actually crafting runes with your runecrafting skill (in other words: never). The upgradable "prestige" whatever-the-hells are dumb. I kinda wish I could undo my "rank 7" purchase. The robes look better without the dinky symbols glued all over the place.
  22. I'd really love a way to use chat when I'm in an NPC conversation. It's especially frustrating when you get a mime random event and suddenly you can't chat anymore. You used to at least be able to private message people, but now that doesn't work anymore. And if hiding the chat box could be used to save space for smaller screen modes, I'm all for it.
  23. I've done hundreds of clues scrolls, and 99% of them have been shit. Deal with it.
  24. I find it hilarious that he thinks "90% of the players who log in use it every day" really means anything. It's practically a button you can press and get free stuff, who wouldn't use it?? Well, apparently 10% of members and 30% of free players don't use it, which is more significant than those that do, because these 10/30% turned down the option to press a button and receive free shit. It's like going out of your way to leave the toilet seat up just to piss someone off. Except by leaving the toilet seat up, you miss a chance at winning a million dollars. That's just how much they hate Jagex.
