  1. I will pick up gp piles that other people leave. I'm also fond of those people that leave steel battleaxes and such on the floor. It gives me free magic experience. I don't care about efficiency. I'm playing a game.
  2. they sell better when grimy. That's probably because there are a lot of herb cleaners who all are eager to purchase grimy herbs and love to dump their clean herbs.
  3. I noticed how all the 7 and 8 year olds were introduced to runescape by friends in our immediate meighbourhood, including my own 7 year old son. A new generation of players is constantly created. I guess the problems will start when the recruitment of new players ends up below the critical mass.
  4. You know base/prestige experience also depends on how fast you do the round? - If you do it (much) faster as planned the xp increases (and if you do it much more slowly the xp decreases). Ow and on the other hand, did anyone really!!!??? it also depends on how fast you do the level!? I didn't know that.
  5. I would still play it if it wasn't updated, so it will die when the servers shut down.
  6. My sample size is small, but I am almost getting the impression that my experience is halved when you don't extract the resources in a room, even if you kill them all. Because I tried to do levels faster by just killing everything, but I end up with half the experience when I also fish everything empty, mine all rocks etc. Or am I just missing something?
  7. I have access to overloads, but I would rather have a yak.
  8. for 300-500k per hour you can also just do chaos druids. It's riskfree and carefree. The income is a bit dependent on your access to location, intelligence, manner of attack, competition, and means of transportation. I can hit the 500k/hour quite reliably but I am a bit maxed out in most of the combat skills. Edit: Actually there are so many methods that give you 300-500k per hour.
  9. Don't be shy to go back to Zanaris to restock if the 'fields' hit you more than you actually want to.
  10. You can always try a single level with plank make and see how you like it, and whether the stuff sells. No big loss if you decide it is not for you.
  11. When you can use a ranging familiar on monsters with low defence, ranging slayer isn't actually that bad. Add some cannoning and a few levels of slayer ranging are quite ok. I basically did my last 5 levels like that. Some tasks are better done with melee though. So see it as a longterm goal if you want to reach 99 range with slayer.
  12. Regarding flaming accusation:. Maybe people are fed up with all the constant moaning about the quality of the game. We play runescape because we like the game. We don't play the game in the anticipation of another update by Jagex, so we have a new reason to complain and nag. Nagging about how bad a game is on a fan-site of this game is also a form of flaming you know. You can't expect positive reactions. Imagine going to a religious forum and complain about jesus. You won't receive a warm welcome. What probably many of us think: If it is all that bad, don't do dungeoneering. If the game in total is so bad, don't waste you time on it. Go do something you actually enjoy doing.
  13. I actually haven't played any other skill than dungeoneering since the skill was released. Maybe it is the same case with shark resource gatherers.
  14. I found the second article overly negative, opinionated and not representative at all. Maybe articles like that should start with a big disclaimer. Outraged people I think people who get outraged because a skill gets released on a MMOPRG probably have some personal issues that surpass those they find so awful in the game. That is because it's a game. You don't have to play. You certainly don't have to play all aspects of the game. If you don't like dungeoneering, then don't do the skill. End story. No need to get upset about it. People suffer and die for no good reason at all over the world every day. I think you have lost perspective of life if you get upset about changes to a game. Dung'ing is a minigame If someone wants to call a massive piece of content a 'mini'-game they can, but semantically there isn't any logic in that. Maybe the term maxi-game would be more appropriate. Or why not just suck it up and call it a skill. Personal experience with dung'ing I am currently level 30 dungeoneering and I both did solo dungeons and a few with a friend. I found both experiences enjoyable. In fact, I currently hardly do any other skills at the moment, that is outside the dungeons.
  15. the only pro drop I got so far was a hatchet. I'm still on a katagon spear.
  16. i think it was 90 mining, if I remember correctly from examining it. I had one so far.
  17. I don't think you can make addy plates with 72 smithing.
  18. Ring of kinship gives a free unlimited teleport reasonably close to a bank. Don't know if anyone noticed.
  19. cabbage...i gained 3 levels before I stopped it
  20. Super anti fire is pretty cool, so you can at least level till that. I actually like my extreme att, str and def pots as well. And what i especially like are the ranging pots.
  21. I'm only level 6 dungeoneering, so I am only giving my first impression and opinion. I tried the automatic joining of a party first, but that wasn't a success. My fellow dungeoneer just stood there. Luckily my levels were vastly superior, so i could easily complete the level. Very steep learning curve in the sense that all items and resources are new. It will take a while before I figure out exactly what is what, and what is best. But that is fine, that is part of enjoying a game. The second day a friend came to my world and we did 2 levels together. That was actually really enjoyable. I actually had the feeling I was playing a game! Instead of grinding! The only thing to compare it with is doing GWD with friends, but even that is pretty monotonous compared to doing a level of dung together. Therefore I have a good first impression. Everything looks good, the is fun to play together with a friend, and I actually had to use my brain once in a while.
  22. I guess this thread has become pointless.
  23. If you really want bandos: slayer helmet bandos top verac skirt fury d'boots warrior ring/ferocious ring whip rune defender.
  24. doesn't matter whether he uses combat potions or not. He just used both pieces of equipment during the same task. He only has to compare himself with himself. For him it is nicer. You could do the same thing and take combat potions. And that wouldn't change his point: why not bring both if you have the cash.
  25. I have a bandos set of course, but I usually use verac skirt instead of bandos tassets. But when I was your level I was walking around in d skirt. Good enough for most tasks. Cheap. You should do slayer the way you like it, not the way other people dictate it. It's a game.
