Manga/Anime Discussion
I hate the fake Spring 2011 chart floating around. First time I saw it I almost had a heart attack seeing Umineko Chiru but then I saw it was fake and just cried ;_; Working my way through Bakemonogatari slowly, not watched much anime over the past few weeks and my habit of watching it on iPod while travelling is gonna stop since I've got my kindle to read on, now. Oh well.

Textbooks
Computer Science doesn't tend to have many textbooks from what I've seen and my Uni appreciates that a lot of it's students are from lower-earning backgrounds so they don't often require many books. This last semester I paid £70, which I thought was quite a lot in a way (obviously not compared to you) for 2 books. I got them from Amazon but I only saved £5 compared to the price at the Uni bookstore. Not sure what books I'll need to get for next semester.

Editorial Panel Recruitment Drive
People who have a longer time spent on Tip.It are more likely to be picked since we can judge their attitude, commitment and dedication better. It's hard to get that for a new person. However, you can still apply. Even if you don't get in, there's always a chance you'll be able to join up later on. For now, welcome to the forums :)

Consumerism thread
Changed the topic to MP3 Player I've had my 3rd gen nano for about 3 years now. I still love it <3 People didn't like this generation as much since they were 'fat' but they're really easy to use, unlike the versions after which became far too thin and have slowly started to lose functionality.

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
^ Yeah, Bulbapedia can have me stuck for a long time. I don't really play Pokemon very much nowadays. I got SoulSilver when it came out but once I got to the point where I need to go find and beat Red, I sorta petered out and got bored. I played Crystal obsessively as a child and teen. Spent a *long* time on it. SoulSilver was just the same but with a lame female character <_< Crystal is my all time fave game, though. My copy has been with me for a long time, I'm taking it with me to my gave <3

Skilling in Pro DG
I've never really done 'pro dg'ing but the way I tend to play is just to do is as necessary. I'll not fish unless really needed, but I might get armours. I try to keep up as well as I can and advance the dungeon but I know that it's not the precision speed that many people try to get. I don't purposely try to make a dungeon slow - I just *can't* do it that fast. I think a lot of people have that sort of thing, they're doing it the best they can.

I figured it was to get a few more quid in their pocket, the timing JUST before Christmas practically screams it, but I never correlated it to Stellar Dawn. Interesting idea.

Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
I have a worrying feeling that Jagex might implement their phase 2, and it'll be reasonable, before Sunday, thus rendering my impassioned Times article useless

Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
It's not so much the issue I'm opposed to, but I dislike being treated like an idiot. Anyone with even a slight understanding of how an election works can see this is a total fix and it's going to happen whether we want it or not. I'm guessing the motivation is because Jagex want the quick buck, but to make a 'poll' under the impression that somehow what we say actually means a damn is pretentious and arrogant, and I expect better from a company I have given over £150 of my money to. There's a relationship between customer and company, it has to be based on a level of trust, and Jagex have broken that for me. If I want to spend cash on playing with intolerable children, being part of a degenerate community run by a company that doesn't give a crap for anything except profit margins, I'll spend it on XBL. By the way, some of the 360's games are far beyond anything RuneScape will ever hope to achieve, Golden Joystick or not. I definitely agree with this. As long as they've fixed up free trade and the wildy from being tools for bots then I don't mind. The *real* issue is the fact they've gone back on 3 years of claims and arguments against the community by claiming, rightly, that the removals were needed and necessary. There was no need to suddenly spring the possibility of it on us other than, of course, money.

This is such a fake vote. Jagex are just pretending to make this the 'community's choice' when really they've got the update ready to go in a few week's time. It's such a pathetic publicity stunt in more ways than one. And I don't appreciate that they won't let me vote no <_<
