The census interactive map
Isn't there going to be a census for England here this year? Ah, yes. I googled it and there is. Should prove interesting.

OMG YOUR TOO OLD FOR RUNESCAPE
I do feel a bit old now I'm 18, at University, and still playing. I got the "LOL I played RS when I was a kid" reaction from my new Uni mates when I told them but otherwise they don't mind. Since I fish a lot, I've come across quite a few people who are around 18+. Woodcutting and Fishing are heavenly skills for those who have a lot of reading to do :P I was called a 12 year old the other day at a TET event for making a load of your mum jokes but bleh :P

The census interactive map
I'd really like to see what it's like over here, to prove to my dad that muslims aren't 'taking over'. It's just a shame they don't have the map here :(

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Guys, just want to point you to the thread rules: Useless/spammy comments. You may comment on screenshots being posted but only make a reply if you have something WORTHWHILE to say. Lets try to keep off the pointless discussion a bit before this gets out of hand ;)

Seer's Ring IS NOT Getting Bonus
Since the OP has got his point across and there's no real discussion value to this I'm going to lock this thread :)

Offical Tip.It Chat?
Since the question has been answered, and to prevent needless arguments over efficiency, I'm locking this thread :)

Manga/Anime Discussion
Started watching PSG last night. Good times :D Never seemed like something I'd enjoy but I really am, it's so mad that it's just funny... I strangely like Panty too, when I assumed I'd just like Stocking and dismiss Panty as a bit of a slag but no, I actually like them both. I'm not a big Brief fan, though, I don't *really* see his cuteness.

[DevBlog] History of RuneScape: The First Four Years
Very interesting blog. Makes me think about my earliest RS memories. I *think* I actually started in 2005 or 2006. My school friend got me to play and I used to come over to his house and paid for members using my mobile phone. I don't remember very much at all, my first PROPER memories are from mid 2006 (Walked into the wilderness, got killed, never went back) and then early 2008 when I started playing the game for real like I do now. Before then I don't remember very much.

How will the players that joined RS after 2008 react to the return of wildy/free trade?
I realy hope you are trolling, as someone who started playing towards the start of 2008 I am deeply offended that you think we are stupid. Because he's right. Clearly he's not. Get a clue.

How will the players that joined RS after 2008 react to the return of wildy/free trade?
Why? Also I hate the phrase 'worst update ever' since you don't know what might come along next week which could be even worse >.< It's just melodramatic rubbish.

Kalphite Queen Damage Rule
Moved this to the more appropriate forum of Help & Advice :)

How will the players that joined RS after 2008 react to the return of wildy/free trade?
Then why are you not raging at every update?! Back in 2007 you didn't have loads of cool, useful stuff that we have now. You had to train Woodcutting without Ivy, Mining without LRC.. ect. It's not OUR fault that we didn't discover this game until 08 and it's unfair to suggest that we're in some way inferior to you lot just because we didn't go through the same traumatic and haunting experience of losing the Wildy/Trade. If it boils down to the old argument that 'waaaah it's degrading my achievemeeeeents' then you need to learn that other people don't degrade your achievements. It doesn't matter how anyone else does it, as long as you did it you can feel proud that you did do all those quests when it was hard. But I bet if they were to take the GE away with this update you'd cry just as hard as anyone else. Well the whole issue with RWT is up in the air since we don't really have guarantees or proof in place that Jagex can deal with a probable upshot in RWT. I don't, for a second, think there isn't a lot of bots out there - regardless or not of the state of the Wilderness. However we know how sketchy Jagex are about bots and it's obvious people are going to get scared because of the stories we've all heard about what 07 botting & RWT was like.

Smithing is ridiculous
I've deleted some of the stupid spamming and troll posts in this thread but I suggest that if you want advice, you go to the Help & Advice forum rather than rants. I can't guarantee you won't get people telling you, quite wrongly, to get members and such - but you may get some more help than from here.

What will make you quit RS
Basically if I got bored of it or University was taking up too much time. Last few months have seen a large decrease in playing when I'm in Uni because I just can't be bothered with it. If it gets to the point where I'm going over 2 weeks without playing then I might just quit. I don't see it as 'currently playing then quitting'. I just play as I want and NOT play as I want.

How will the players that joined RS after 2008 react to the return of wildy/free trade?
This thread is utterly ridiculous and I'll have you know that I don't remember playing much until after the so called 'day runescape died'. I consider myself someone who *properly* started in 08. The whole idea that people who joined after December 07 are either clueless about what Wildy/Free trade will mean is so conceited and pathetic. Yes, there will be some idiots who get scammed but that has NOTHING to do with when they started and a lot more to do with the fact that they're just idiots. Come at me, then. Show me how I'm going to enjoy a 'painful' existence when I'm fully aware of what the update will entail. Yes, I might not know the nuances such as exactly what the 'trust game' was, but I'm also not an idiot.

POLL: What are your plans or goals for 2011?
99 Fishing and *possibly* 95+ Mining. I'd also like 80+ RC, 95+ Magic and maybe all skills over 70. I'm not huge on long-term goals. I pick a goal for a few days and go with it. I do have generally long term goals like Fishing, but that's about it.

Do we need a new toolkit?
I don't use any form of toolkit, I never have. If I need help I open a new tab and go to Tip.It. If I need advice I'll come to the forums and ask in H&A. *shrug*

Consumerism thread
I have a ridiculous amount of shoes. These are almost all of them: There are a few others but they're a bit small so I don't wear them often :D None of those are brand-label shoes. I think the most expensive were probably the black trainers for, I think, £12.

Wireless Router
I know nothing about PS3's but surely if they have an ethernet port, you'll get much more stable internet by shoving an ethernet in there and the back of the router?

Behind the Scenes - January
Snow all over the country today. Don't expect many Jmods to be in work - update will probably be Thursday at the earliest now.

Today...
yeah but I'd be using it online, and if someone yanked my digits online wit a debit card, I could go broke, and that would suck alot. If a site says it accepts credit cards, it accepts debit cards. To be honest, you should NEVER get a credit card unless you are fully able to pay off the amount in total at the end of the month. If you can then it's all right, but far too many people can't. Be extremely wary unless you want to get yourself into debt. Also the possibility of card detail theft is extremely minimal, millions of people do Internet shopping. There's no reason to be afraid of it as long as you keep a secure system and use respectable sites.

Actor Pete Postlethwaite has died age 64
Oh God no :( Finally an actor I know and love comes around to die. I've watched a few of his films, Brassed Off being one of my favourites, and he was such a great actor. As my mum said, 64 is no age to die.

Tip.It Times - 26th December 2010
My point of the article was to focus on the poll rather than the actual update that it was supporting. I believe that there is plenty to be said JUST about how much of a farce the poll was and how disappointing it was for Jagex to try and pass it off as 'listening' to the community. It's not about conspiracy theories it's looking at what the real intention of this is. I'd rather not go into looking at what's changed since 2007 since I was only just starting Runescape back then and I would not be truly able to reflect on that time.
