Old player, frequent re-subscriber, never know what to do.
Smithing doesn't make money unless it is trained slowly (and I mean, making cannonballs). Making your own steel plates to alch is pretty useless in my opinion as there are better items to alch.

Rare Drops Affected by Combat
What? Drops can still be dependant on the combat level of the monster even if they are random (effigies for example). I don't know if rare drops are affected by combat level but I do know that it's not worth camping a monster solely for those drops; pick a monster with a good 100% or common drop (dragons, black and abyssal demons, abberant spectres).

Buying prayer book pages
^For the caves you use a defender, obsidian/dragonfire/spirit shield or deflector. So, no (unless you again mean pures).

Chinning from 85-90
You can go to w144 and look for people who are losing for pest points. Alternatively you can ask a friend to lose to you, buy a deflector or two, and then lose to your friend to get them 1250 rank also. Finally you can pay people in w144 to lose to you, but you'd have to figure out some way to seem trustworthy I suppose.

Some advice please!
Vengeance is only moderately useful for dg bosses. The ability to use a surgebox and fire surge however is quite big. If you got 95 magic, 70 runecrafting would significantly increase your dungeoneering effectiveness.

Help with hipness - Coming back to RS
Piety followed by a bunyip is what you should get, then rapier.

Tormented Demons Setup
A sighted magic longbow would only be good (tolerable) with a steel titan and even then it'd be outperformed by Karil's crossbow, so use that. RSwiki is sooo wrong in monsterhunting. Elite void, fury, sw/fire cape, ranger's boots (dragon works too), onyx/dstone (i) or berserker ring, both helmets (switching) with darklight + defender, cmaul, claws and kxbow for weapons. Bring 2.25 overloads and one unicorn at first, upgrading to 4 overloads and 2 unicorns later on (with super prayers). With a unicorn you want piety + rigour, with a steel titan turmoil. A steel titan takes over some of the ranging power you need and since you lose the unicorn's healing you can use soul split flashing.

Eh getting 99 skill like impossible for me?
inb4 standard post. Oh wait. Duradel/Lapalok until 75, then Kuradal. The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender (rune defender) Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet. [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +15 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +25 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it.

traditional smithing vs. artistians workshop
Trouble with mithril plates is that both coal and mithril are slow mining xp. Iron is the best mining xp in f2p, and banking it (resource dungeon deposit box) doesn't cut into your xp too much. So that part is pretty efficient really. I think iron burial armour (III ingots I guess) would be good, or iron platebodies and selling them.

Chinning from 85-90
Get a deflector for your shield slot and use an Armadyl chestplate . Armadyl + elite void is +5 prayer, going up to 22 with fury and sw cape. You can use a ranging amulet instead but I wouldn't use the alerter. Be sure to use a geyser titan as well. Eagle eye is good, only rigour is better of course. I think 8k chins should do? I'm not sure though, but you can always sell excess chins of course.

In need of some money making suggestions
Use the 65m to get 65 herblore (shouldn't cost much) and 75 prayer and finish While Guthix Sleeps and Blood Runs Deep. Use the 450k combat xp reward from BRD on prayer and the 400k xp reward from WGS on herblore. Then spend another 40-50m to get extremes (not sure how much you need tbh). Stew to make some extremes and make money killing frost dragons. To get to frost dragons you need 85 dungeoneering, allowing you to pick up a chaotic rapier as well. While doing all this you should start up farming ranarr and willow until you reach 50 farming, at which point you should do avantoe. Get a scroll of life and 70 hunter also, to make juju potions.

Old player, frequent re-subscriber, never know what to do.
Your p2p crap is stored in p2p spaces independantly. You probably had an overflow of f2p items, stored in member's item slots.
-
Are these items worth buying?
The xp/hr is low enough at lower levels that the ~10k tokens you lose can easily be recouped in the time you save doing tog instead of floors.
-
Stats?
Stop arguing with amitoz on this thread and others, he can't be reasoned with.
-
Waterfiends...
^That is not inefficient gear :P, well not really, depending on your cape I suppose. But yeah, 30k xp/hr, for no real benefits drop-wise.

GP/xp is not relevant if you are DIYing .

a question about set up
@ OP: Torag's has better melee but not ranged defence and you use protect from melee. @ Everyone: Locking this, this argument has gone too far. @ OP again: sorry your thread got broken, feel free to repost it :).

Money Making
Which only supports the point that killing Graardor is bad money. By the way, crashers can actually speed up kills provided you never lose a kill (you probably can't of course).
-
a question about set up
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exponential_function Involves the number e. Prayer drain formula is 30/(30 + prayer bonus)*base prayer drain = modified prayer drain.

Money Making
If anything a trio will get crashed by a better trio . Killing Graardor at top speed with a yak (banking bones) is around 3m/hr. If you have to split that amongst 3 people, all using supplies... nothing much left.

Seeking Advice
If you wish to rush but have no experience with it, you should try DGS. If you do not wish to rush you could advertise some no rush dungeons in w117 or 148, but expect bad performance. The Ancients guide is good (It's in general guides) but outdated, his combat mechanics guide is also worth reading. Bassy has a good dg guide, and Rocked wrote up some tips as well.

Question about dungeoneering: what are the rewards?
Eh no? Many people enjoy dungeoneering, also you forgot bragging rights :P.

Rings for slayer?
I kinda panicked when I saw the rare drops all around :P. But as the ring of wealth doesn't make a large difference still, you can get the good drops without one, I'd just use your berserker ring. Previously, the row affected drop rates of fairly bad drops: dragonstones, shield halves, dragon spears, 100 silver ores. The update didn't make the ring do much more (I think) but added some valuable drops to the rare drops table.

Herblore
MTK and farming are moneymakers not efficientherblorexpmakers as Nikolai said. With a decent routine you should be able to make 3-4m/week easily, spending the rest of the time doing random (non-expensive) skilling or slaying or something. I'm afraid you'll have to be patient :P. 85-99 farming off torstol with juju would be approximately 400m profit I think, but it takes a year or so (over 1k farm runs).

Aviansies Help?
Elite void range w/ deflector, pernix top, fury, ranger's boots, alerter, morrigan's javelins. Short of spending millions on javelins, you should use elite void with karil's crossbow, praying rigour or eagle eye and using (extreme) ranging potions. Pray protect ranged.
