Best outfit for str training?
In case you are wondering, bandits are slow melee xp compared to Ape Atoll skeletons.

200M in all Skills
[hide] Frequency and length most certainately have to do with how good a task is. If a bad task takes a long time it is worse than a bad task that doesn't last long because you are getting bad xp for longer. Similarly if a good task is assigned often it is better than a good task that is assigned very rarely because you are getting good xp more often. A task taking twice as long has the same effect as a task being twice as likely to be assigned except that assignment rate effects slayer points got/spent which I think is unimportant in the greater scheme of things. Yes I take the max rate I will NOT include profit because it isn't important for what I wanted to use it for. Like I said earlier the formula is adaptable and you can add boredom, afkness and profit (read back if you don't know how to measure boredom). Adding them does result in a meaningful number. It combines the comparisons it has with the other (max) tasks in an equal way, note that multiplying them together does not work because then Jad and mages would have a 0 base efficiency. You fail to take into account that adding the numbers does not equal time saved/efficiency. Your (b/max b)^(X) [X=length*frequency] is completely arbitrary. A task of 5 minutes, assigned only once per 100 tasks, would have an X of what? 5*.01? or 1/12th * 1? Same with b/max b. Are you taking max be to be one? 10? Pi? A monster with 90% of the max rates in all 3 stats would be at (.9/1)^(1/12*.01) which is very nearly one (.9999). A task with 10% of the max rates, with the same length and frequency, would be at .998. Are you now saying that both tasks are nearly the same? Oh and of course when I said black demons > wfs for summoning xp I forgot chaos tunnels :wall: so only your top effigy monster is off. Actually taking into account all three categories at 90% B would be 2.7 not 0.9 so this would give 2.7^(1/12*.01) which is 1.00082805. Now another task with 10% in each category would be have B at 0.3 not 0.1 so this would be 0.3^(1/12*.01) which is 0.998997192. Therefore like Thai said a good task is greater than one (the one with 90% max rates) and a bad one is less than 1 (the one with 10% max rates). Also yeah these numbers are really close together but I think that the main point is whether the number is greater or less than one to determine if it is a good or bad task. Inb4 anti math e rage [/hide] You forgot to divide b by max b, which would be 2.7/3 (= .9) and .3/3 (=.1). However it's all not entirely relevant anymore as this is about ranks and you can't add/subtract/divide those as normal. Incidentally your calcs would also indicate that a task with at least a max summoning, xp or effigy rate and one other rate (no matter how bad) is automatically good. @ Thai: we can agree to disagree, if you like. I maintain your method has no value.

So you're ranking monsters according to random criteria then do some stuff with the ranking that doesn't even make sense. One black demon is worth 157 slayer xp, 1570 lp worth of range + melee xp with say 60% cannon 40% melee damage - that's 188 ranged xp and 252 melee xp, 84 con xp. Each is worth about half a crimson charm and 1/500th of an effigy. One effigy is worth about 139k xp, so that's around 278 xp each. Half a crim is ~220 xp. One pouch takes what, a second to make? so that must be accounted for in the kill rate. So you get a rate of processing black demons - killing, banking, opening effigies, selling loot, running pouches - and an xp value per kill which is ~1022 xp each. You can do 300 kills/hr - that's 12 seconds. You run pouches for about 150 charms as well - that's 6 runs or, say, 3 minutes? Add a few minutes of banking, selling loot etc also 3 mins. That is about 66 mins for 300 kills or 13.2 seconds per kill. 13.2 seconds for 1022 xp. Now the trouble is here that effigies are xp in slow skills mainly. So you'd have to value them as time. You can also value monsters as time but that's a lot trickier. An effigy is about 90 minutes, for example. That'd add some 11 seconds per demon. I don't want to do calcs like that atm but you could.

Frequency has nothing to do with how good a task is - that only determines whether you should skip or block. Likewise length isn't important provided you don't have to much overhead (travelling). Also, I'm assuming you're trying to take the max xp rate, charm rate and effigy rate and judging a task by those rates. You should also add profit. Secondly, simply adding them together doesn't result in any meaningful number. Finally, black demons are actually faster summoning xp black dragons are faster effigies. What you should calculate is the total amount of time a single monster (on task) gives you - in slayer xp, summoning xp, effigies (90 mins each, approx), money (at a certain income) etc.

How long? 1-99 magic.
Eh, considering those methods, 200+ hours? I highly recommend superheating once you can do it all the way to 99 as it will give you a LOT of smithing xp and it's probably about as fast & expensive as alching.

Should I sell my DFS
Sell it and get that herblore up even more . Alternatively, if you do not need overloads, here are some ways to spend money: Buy a fury & berserker ring if you don't own them already. Buy prayer xp. Merchant the money to 157834b. Upgrade your house to be awesome. Buy a ton of cannonballs + runite bolts + acp/ranger's boots and range frost dragons.

How to spend your XP weekend
At your stats, Nox, the following: Have 5 magic trees, 6 palm trees, a calquat and as many spirit trees as you can planted. Upon logging in, check-health on all of them to get ~400k farming xp. Bank and take out your fishing gear - granite lobsters (3+summon one), fishing urns (15), a summoning potion, feathers/knife, barbarian rod - you're going powerfishing (games neck to barbarian assault). You should be getting 200k xp/hr in the first hour or so. Do this for ~3 hours. You can also ZMI or even better, combine the two.

waterfiends
90 melees - void + maul + overloads + turmoil + unicorn (just in case, not needed) - 80k xp/130 crims per hour. I use 10 ppots per 3 overloads. Black demons are just as fast or faster but more of the xp is in gold charms. If you use effigies on summoning they are a lot faster.

200M in all Skills
It's hard to make a definite ranking because some tasks are good when combined. For example ice strykes are good slayer xp & effigies & mage xp, but if it's all you did to 200m you'd waste a ton of mage xp and never get close to 200m summoning. That goes for pretty much any task. Black demons seem the most reasonable all-round task.

Herblore
It's cheap, decently fast xp, and you will use more recovers than extreme sets, in general.

i read the guides and everything and still done understand
Go to Daemonheim (there is a boat near the bank in Al Kharid, and a teleport option on the ring of kinship). Talk to the dungeoneering tutor, he should give you a ring of kinship. Click your ring - an interface should show up. Click 'form party'. Now click one of the doorways right behind the tutor and banker, looking into the building. A screen should show up that asks you complexity, but only 1 will be unlocked, so choose that. Next a screen will shot up that asks you what floor you wish to do. Again, only floor one will be available so do that. The floor will now start. You should now be in a room with one NPC, the smuggler. He is not relevant yet. There should be one or two doors in the room. Click to open them. This will reveal more rooms. The goal is to find the boss room and kill the boss inside, which allows you to exit the floor and get xp. Some doors will only open once a challenge has been completed. This can range from a skill level (prayer, summoning, strength, agility, thieving, runecrafting, magic doors), a skill level and a tool (mining, smithing, crafting, firemaking, woodcutting, farming, construction, herblore doors) or a room challenge. The most common room challenge is the guardian door and it is this challenge that is CRUCIAL to dungeoneering in general as guardian doors require you to kill ALL monsters in the room. And since monsters are typically annoying, damaging or outright lethal this can be tricky. The xp you get depends on: the complexity of the dungeon (first screen), the number of the floor (second screen), the number of people you designed the floor for (third screen, doesn't appear on solo), your prestige, the percentage of monsters killed, the number of rooms found compared to the number of rooms available, and your personal number of deaths. This is a lot to take into account and there is quite a bit of theory on this but in general these are the things you should care about: Always team up with as many people as possible (although it may not be worth the time it takes to find said people). Always do each floor ONCE (prestige mechanic). Do not try to kill monsters unless you have to. Try to find open all rooms. Don't die. Finish a floor in no more time than neccesary for the best xp per hour. Prestige is crucial in improving your xp rates. It is the count of unique floors you have completed. So if you finished floor 1 you get 1 prestige. If you can do floor 1 and 2, and you complete only 2, you get only 1 prestige. If you can do floors 1-30 and do floors 21-30, you get 10 prestige. However if you do 1-30 then reset, you preserve your 30 prestige until you reset again (or until you get a better prestige on your current run). This means: do all floors you can do ONCE, then press RESET, then do them all ONCE and so on.

itam's HC diy'er thread
Your bank is crazy. Why don't you train RC though? With your determination, you can get 2300 total easily :P (80 rc, con, thief, agility, firemaking and dungeoneering is already 46 levels).

dunging for pures
Hood requires 45 defence afaik, so go with empowered fire staff + best 2h unless your strength is a lot higher than your attack (2+ tiers difference), then use a maul.
-
Prayer training
Do you even know what those necklaces do? They restore prayer points when burying bones - they don't give xp.

Herblore
That's very useful . I'd get the level for super defence beforehand (I think it's 66?) and make a ton of those, switching to special recovers at 82 (with mature greenman's ale) and making a ton of those until 86, when you can make extreme attacks. Normally I'd recommend stewing to extreme attack from level 84 but you may not want to do that on the weekend. I think it is worth it though.

I imagine the competition will be quite fierce - a reason to do things like thieving, agility and construction imo.

Best F2P Items?
Maple longbow (sighted).

What to alch
Try superheating either mithril or adamant (or rune if you can), using a coal bag (4k tokens, it's a bargain). You should profit.

Slayer: Ring of Slaying or Slayer Helmet First?
^That is quite true. But you can't do spectres, cave crawlers, or DKS tasks (as well/easy) without fsh, and of course the helmet can hold scrolls & you don't use deflects on many tasks. Overall, helmet > rings.

Good job .

What to do?
F2p, try killing hill giants for big bones or lesser demons for ashes.

Are they any good slash weapons inf 2p dungeoneering?
Eh I'd say 2h, because you are limited to lower-tier weapons compared to the gear of your opponents. I think you encounter less low-defence opponents in f2p.
