Waterfiends...
I block jungle & desert strykewyrms, fire giants and warped torts, waiting for a 5th to come along. They are all fairly slow and have bad effigy and charm drops, but especially strykewyrms are profitable. Waterfiends are a great task, at your stats it'll take a while to do them, but not more than, say, steel dragons. One advantage is that although they are weak to crush, you don't need a maul to fight them well, unlike steels where the rapier is just needed. Since it's a slayer topic I'll leave this here: [hide] The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender (rune defender) Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet. [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +15 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +25 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it. [/hide]

Chinning Nechs
You can profit with tort banking of course, but it's both slower and riskier. In general I would not recommend chinning nechs if you can cannon + range black demons. Blacks have higher charm rates, a lot more effigies and somewhat lower ranged xp. Frost dragons are decent ranging cash, being around 3m profit and 100k xp at high stats.

Melee gear help wanted. Any input wanted :)
Full void is probably the most useful all-round armour set, being good for most off task ranging and meleeing (unless it's like Graardor). I'd highly recommend getting it regardless of your cashpile.

The Steel Dragon Guide (Outdated)
Use cannon, overload, turmoil, ks or claw specs. A defender might be preferred, also due to cannon accuracy. You can still update the guide to be useful, also for mage, but you should include at least staff of light, arcane stream, fire surge. A comparison of cannon versus no cannon and overload versus xmage versus wolper would be good.

I'm not that unique
At your stats, blue dragons.

Urns and slayer
Black demons are possibly the best task in the game, competing with black dragons (which are less charms but more effigies). You should definitely do them. Sure take urns, you need maybe 8-10 on a task, so you can bring a terrorbird or something if you need space.

Triple charm spending
You only get 40 minutes of triple charms, right? I would say that at your levels, a cannon will benefit you a lot due to your low base melee dps, so try black demons.

Starting back runescape
Properly it has the highest dps, the leaf-bladed sword has a higher stab attack bonus but Korasi's has the spec + higher strength.

Fastest ranged xp with red chinchompas?
Even if you made overloads to 99 herblore they are hardly to be wasted, after all you have a finite supply. Also, xp from 96 to 99 isn't extremely valuable because you could get it through effigies etc. over time, and I wouldn't really value my xp at 45 gp/xp, so I'd certainly value my overloads. The difference between xrange potting every 5 mins and overloading every 5 mins is 2.5 levels on average, which is a max of 222 versus a max going from 222 down to 211 or something like it. So you're looking at up to 3% less xp with xrange (but you could repot every 3 or 4 minutes of course). Say, 90 seconds per hour difference - that means you save 90 seconds at the cost of 12 doses of overload per hour minus the cost of 12 xrange doses per hour. Overdose: 5k (+1k herblore xp at 30 gp/xp, pre-bxpw price), xrange dose would be approximately free. So 60k to save 90 seconds - an income of 2.4m/hr approx. If you repot more often than once per 5 minutes you got to take into account banking time, but if you ignore that, repotting every 4 minutes saves you around 60 seconds at a cost of 60k (3.6m/hr), which is about the highest income you can get without merchanting or Nexing (and if you need chinning xp, you are probably not 99 range or suited for Nexing).

Range related maths
Well I'm not entirely sure how the dark bow works, but in general average damage is (1+max)/2, as a random hit from 1 to your max is chosen each time. The dark bow could work in two ways: going from 1 to max, replacing hits below 80, or going from 80 to max. The first would give you a max of 302 with a ranged pot and eagle eye, and an average hit of 161 The second also gives you a max of 302 and an average hit of 191. Your general max hit formula is 5 + (effective damage-determining level + 8)*(strength bonus + 64)/64.

DKS tribrid
Thats why you tell your partner "I died, bless", and they bless, and you get back. Seriously.. House in rellekka means you don't take more then 5 mins to get back. What part of solo means you'll have a partner . Risk IS relevant, don't ignore the possibilty of a DC. Also, any decent merchant can do more with the ~10m investment in a ring than the bonusus of said ring.

range pure training
Eh, the best way is to get 42 defence and 44 prayer and get void, then chin in void, using eagle eye. Do monkey madness as well.
-
Ice strykwyrms
That's not quite correct. Max = 5 + (Effective Strength + 8) * (Equipment Strength + 64) / 64 With the average hit being equal to half that + .5 due to choosing a random number between 1 and your max.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
What's that in the chat? Someone with a glory, who owns tassets, hating on Verac's skirt?

Back after a long break
Eh there have been some major changes in combat. Firstly you will notice that all damage has been multiplied by 10, and all health as well. Secondly, more powerful weapons, armour, potions and prayers have been added. I don't know what sort of hits would have been considered good in 2003/2007 (I'm guessing 300/400?), but now a fairly regular max is over 600. Along with better combat boosts players can now camp a monster for hours on end, depending on the monster of course. The God Wars Dungeon features 4 level 500+ bosses and Nex at level 1001. All but Nex can be killed 20 times in one go by one player. Combat is currently the best moneymaker, ranging from the fairly accessable frost dragons at 2m gp/hr to high-level Nexing at 10m/hr profit. That's to illustrate the difference between a 2003/2007 player and a 2011 player combat wise. Skill wise, xp rates have improved, mainly. Note: not sure what exact updates occured, but they follow the above path.

A question in DPS..
The sighted bow has low dps, but at DKS you should be using a dwarf cannon and you may not want to aggro this or that, for which you need the long range of the bow. But a handcannon is still better.

I need some barrows help
That's a pretty decent setup, use protect prayers and piety for all brothers and use korasi's sword to spec out the tunnel brother (with spec recovers). Alternatively, use mage gear and salamander + blitz, working on magic to get barrage. You don't need to wear Torag's for this, use Ahrim's + a good shield and helmet.

Combat Training and Herblore
Finish Monkey Madness. Get 50 ranged to do this first, using the best shortbow and arrows you can use. Monkey Madness will unlock the dragon scimitar and provides a large chunk of xp. You can also nearly use the dragon scimitar. At 60 attack, train strength to 60 and then defence. For herblore, do the quest first, then make attack potions, then strength potions etc. Do this on the bonus xp weekend or after.
-
Jad
No, without soul split it might be better to use barrows, actually.
-
Jad
On task, I expect one hour and ten to twenty minutes. It depends on your skill though, I can melee the 360s at full speed taking no damage, which is pretty easy but if you miss a hit each time you're basically taking twice as long as needed.
-
Dungeoneering ranged
Don't forget accuracy. You will never ever hit with a shortbow unless you have ranged top + legs bound.
-
Full Slayer Helm v Void Range
Eh all void bonusus are hidden. It might be 10% strength and 10% ranged level (which works out to the same damage boost, but since ranged levels affect both accuracy and damage... you see).
-
Mage training help
Set your casting style to not-defensive - it's in your spellbook somewhere down.
-
Jad
Provided you use a few rocktail and EE(E) specs you'll be more than fine.

Frost dragons lalalalala
Berserker isn't worth it though ;). Especially since space is not really an issue. Just bring 2 dose pots and drop the vials.
