  1. You need less antifire than you need special recover. 1k antifire is a LOT (3000 doses @ 6 minutes each = 300 hours = 20k+ mithril dragons or 45k+ frost dragons, lol) so that should be enough. One special recover + eee is like 1.5 sharks, for example, and two doses of special recover allow a claw spec which is probably equal to 1.5 rapier hits (e.g. one recover is worth .75 rapier hits). I'd say you can safely make 2k of them and use them on the way to 99 slayer, thieving (if you need healing), agility (idem) and bosshunting (solo corp, bandos etc).
  2. The Grand Exchange database is overloaded with work. Grimy's sheets are having some trouble to import all data. If you want to load them smoothly, you should get the data and store them before someone asks for it, because the database can't be relied on.

Assuming a 90% chance to craft two nature runes from a piece of essence, you'd have a 5% chance to craft 56 natures. As far as I know, the chance of doubling is not quite that high even at level 90. So yeah, get 86 and stew.
  4. The earlier you get a rapier, the more time it saves on the way to max melees. Although dungeoneering is somewhat harder without turmoil etc., that's nothing compared to the dozens of hours a rapier can save you over ~30m melee xp.
  5. It's really a rather good idea to get 80 magic before the xp weekend and stun-alch, or get lunars and 72 magic for hunter kits.
  6. I'd get farming and become a billionaire as well.
  7. Ranged accuracy does not matter with the dark bow, so you can lose the boots for mage gear (snakeskin has -10 mage attack after all). Get a better ring (archer's (i)), better boots (ranger's), a deflector, acp or ideally pernix top, an accumulator and use morrigan's javelins.

Demons* and yes you are correct that they will profit. However I think waterfiends are still a little faster charms if you have to bank with a tort. 1 minute per inventory is a quick 10% loss in kill rate.
  9. Around 2000 pots per hour, 2200 with mousekeys and 1800 when slow I should think.
  10. Some things would not be worth selling for turmoil IMO, stuff like Verac's skirt/berserker (i), whip of course. If you have trouble getting money, there are a few good things to do now with the bonus xp weekend coming up. 1) Gathering herblore ingredients. People are willing to pay more to get fast xp. You can also level herblore yourself and get extremes on the weekend. 2) Gathering bones. Since bones are 7k each, you can make some nice money by killing blue dragons. 3) Farming and dailies should always be done. Get those (low) farming, runecrafting, herblore and dungeoneering levels up, too, to unlock some better task rewards/resource dungeons. For you, the largest possible upgrade to your slayer speed would be getting a chaotic rapier. Get 95 prayer or don't bother, 90 prayer isn't that much better than 70.

Top-tier supplies (torstol, mahogany, magic logs, adamant bars) will rise some more I think.
  12. If you get turmoil or a rapier/max gear before a bunyip, I'd use soul split or food instead of Guthan's.
  13. Great orb project and buying water talismans could work.
  14. At your stats you should just try to brute force it with a handcannon + void or crapier + bandos. You can lure 1-2 healers if you like.
  15. I'd like you both to take this discussion off this topic, to the Nex thread or to PM, I don't care. Don't flame.
  16. I'd love to see p2p on that account - would unlocking summoning/herblore be against your principles for that account?
  17. It's not, especially since blue charms are only a fairly small bit of the total xp you'd be getting by doing slayer/wfs/lobsters/black demons/crawlers etc. The only reason you'd make geysers is that you, personally, value summoning xp extremely highly.
  18. You can get away with not using a divine/ely, using EEKS/spectral/deflector as available.
  19. Wait wrong. You get pages back if you lose the book. My bad. Eh yeah I imagine it'll get saturated. However, there always is a certain number of pures starting out and a fairly low supply of god pages.

There are butterflies there, and in the jungle area, and in the snowy area. The ruby harvest butterflies are the lowest-levelled ones and those are at Piscatoris, yes.
  21. 1) I did not ever say that the ardougne cape 3 is superior to Bandos. They can hardly be compared anyway. 2) One sgs special takes 50% more time than one rapier hit, and uses special energy. In the time you do two sgs specials, you could have done two claw specs + a rapier hit. Now I haven't extensively tested sgs specs, but I very much doubt they will hit harder than claw specs. 3) One sgs spec will restore up to 20 prayer points, but more likely average only 12 or maybe even less, depending on accuracy. You can instead drink a few doses of pray pot. If you are using recovers to get 250% special per 5 minutes (e.g. 6 doses per 5 mins drunk, pretty relaxed), you're getting 5 claw specs or 2 free rapier hits (rapier maxing at ~650, claws at ~900, with claws more accurate).

Void mage is slightly less powerful than Ahrim's, off task of course. Void melee beats Bandos in dps, off-task. Void range is the best ranged gear in the game, off task. @ above: if you try a switch (to ranged) your opponent will move in with a melee switch and rapier you - you would die fairly fast. Also, void deflector w/ Ahrim's top gives you a whole 88 ranged defence. You could use an arcane shield + barrows helmet and be far better off.
  23. It's more efficient to get 99 ranged (by chinning) THEN solo Kree'arra. And even so, it'd probably be better to train ranged at frost dragons due to being approximately five times as much xp.

Butterflies are afk hunter & agility xp. So once you get to really high levels, you can afk hunter. Yay.
  25. @ jrkerr: you're not taking into account many things when suggesting your gear, opportunity cost being one of them [hide] The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender (rune defender) Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet. [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +15 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +25 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it. [/hide] Homer posted it but this is without the spaces ;). If you can explain the reasoning behind all of this, jrkerr, then you can discuss it.
