Green nailed it, it's mostly for staying power. It's also really good for chinning, or handcannoning, or kxbowing, as your normal ranged gear will offer very little prayer bonus (save the unholy book/elite void range).

I have heard it depends on the value, that it'll always save the cheaper item, but that's not the case with unfinished potions/ovl, obviously. So I really don't know :unsure:.

I'll dungeoneer with you, pm me. Loads of meds, I'd not recommend it. Maybe 10k xp each?

Well the rapier will improve your slayer, ZGWD, DKS. Ccbow will improve Armadyl and DKS, maul will improve slayer (wfs tasks, lol) and cls will not. Staff will 'improve' dks though I'm not sure it boosts profit.

I'd go with something decently fast to 82, then do, in order: Spec recovers until 83-84 (depends on how many feathers you can stand getting).. Super antifire until 85... 3k each of extreme attack, strength, defence and ranged; 1k extreme magic... 1k overload, 1k super prayer. You now have potions to last you for life (besides super prayer, I guess).

That's not really true. In most cases if you're going for pure slaying speed, prayer bonus is only really needed to prolong your time at a task while using prayer potions so that you don't need to bank again. If you can complete a task without the extra prayer bonus, then a cape like SW isn't necessary and the str bonus from the fire cape is a pretty good bonus. OT, the other things you need are turmoil and a chaotic rapier, but I'd just wait for Quyneax to post her universal slayer equipment response. Alright here it is... [hide] The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet. [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and bottom (black dragonhide body and chaps, elite void skirt) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +15 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +25 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it. I like what the GE did to the imp catcher quest :P. But yeah, without the GE I couldn't be farming the torstol I do, because I don't like trading in busy places. I find it difficult to keep an eye on what the other person is saying while the trade window is open (first add as friend then change chat from hide to friends - too much hassle imo).

7 points per minute with 10% strength and 13 prayer bonus. Maybe train with corrupt dragon mace, lol.

I'd sell the dfs and guthans and get armadyl + v skirt, cause your prayer is more likely to run out than your health. Even better: melee the caves entirely, as 70 range is really slow. With dfs + guthans etc, you should be able to get something like verac's helm/skirt, bcp, d boots, berserker ring, all the other max offence and piety. I don't know if you have a sw cape, but this would be the place to use it.

No... because if you're caught with mousekeys, jagex congratulates you on your clever adaption to the game's repetitive clicking. Whereas if you were caught with a macro, you'd get your stats reset, or get banned.

100% Support, the most useful cape in the game IMO.

I was surprised how little I got hit by the mage... Still, I wear karil's top. If that is a problem, I'm sure OP can spend the first 10 seconds of the fight killing the mage. It'd respawn soon enough.

I bring seeds, ectophial, spade, dibber, 5 air 3 law 2 fire, 5 supercompost and a juju farming potion. Before I reach the first patch I've used my fires, so that leaves 20 spots for herbs, 19 after I noted the first bunch. Then I go ectophial, cabbageport, ranging guild (combat bracelet) and finally camelot, where I bank, making compost as needed from Arhein's pinapples. Sometimes I also add a juju spiritbag and farm the jungle herb.

Well in f2p you would use your normal setup (perhaps with monk's robes bottom), gather all bones, and equip the necklace to restore by burying once your inventory is full.
